It's very clearly a Gen-1 product. I hope they improve it in the future. Another annoying thing is that you can't set the alarm tune. This is basically a smart speaker with a watch front added. I still think it's great for people that have basic needs and better than paying $20-30 for a normal alarm clock. But definitely could use a lot of improvements for Gen 2.
You need a phone connected to set it up and overall it always needs a wifi connection to work. However I believe if you lose connection in the night it'll still save your previously set alarm. I will try to test that and get back to you.
So hay I just bought a clock from Best Buy, So am watching several setting up the clock. So my qustion is my clock or display does not come on when plugged in???I have un plugged and plugged back in, but nothing.?? Will continue to watch the set up, till I can finish setting up use it or return it? thanks Kitty in Idaho
Hi there! It does sound like the one you have is defective. Does anything happen at all? Any lights or sounds? Before returning it see if anything is blocking the charging port. Hope this helps.
After using this Clock for a year, now it loose communication with wifi network. Disconnecting it find the wi-fi for about half an hour and then loose the communication 😤 I don't recommend it .... Don't buy it...

yes there is, via the google home app -> go to settings of the clock in the app -> in there you can eddit it.

No, the USB is for powering other devices.The output is 2.5W ( 5V-500mA).

They have one with screen too. This is base model. It's very limited in capabilities but I think it's decent for the price.
