As a introvert myself this is why I have a peaceful life.

    • @amandalidey329

Right. I try & distance myself from negativity. I don't like to be around it, it destroys my inner peace & if I notice "fake people" which I'm pretty good at picking up on certain fake people. I don't let their words really bother me. I can be sensitive however I then like to keep my distance & definitely don't like long conversations (At work I do socialize but after 5-7 minutes of talking I'm ready to let the conversations go & go back to doing what I was doing. I like to work independently. I can get more done, I like the silence not too much noise when trying to concentrate, prefer silent treatments. (Not so much in a relationship lol) I mean in general. I definitely will let it go before I "lower myself to that particular person's level" I don't prefer to argue. I'm actually a pretty positive person so in a toxic, negative environment for me it can be exhausting. As a matter of fact this morning for example. I had to "calmly" ask & say "please just leave me alone. I wanna be left alone for a little bit. I literally said, I need some space, please leave me alone" the noise, the screaming, the finger pointing can bother me to where I'll leave. I'll go for a drive or leave the room.

I enjoy being introverted because it can be very peaceful. Being able to quietly thrive on ideas and enjoying the power of silence is so cool.
It is funny that all this talk of introvert/extrovert stuff is popular now. I am just how I have always been, nothing more. I no better than anyone else.

While simply walking away is my preferred reaction to phonies, if they insist on getting in my face I generally just tell them straight out that I consider them assholes and depart. Some people just gotta be told.

I feel like they try to talk to me even more. I would think my obvious introverted awkwardness would make them ignore me but they just try harder. I don’t want to be rude so I try to talk back as I have work or live around people.

I have been constantly amazed at how people cannot pick up on obvious signs that I am clearly not listening to the nonscence leaving the lips that are flapping. Folded arms, no eye contact, no response except a grunt or silence should be enough. Walking away is the final sign, yet you can still hear the dialogue as you depart

I know it's awful, but outside a tiny circle I seem to spend most of my time screaming "SHUT UP!" in my head. If others are really doing my head in I say nothing until I come out with something my ex called "shooting down in flames." He got to the point where he knew I was winding up and yep, BAM and my work here is done.
I honestly don't mean to be or even want to be that person. But it's like my head is going to explode if people don't stop wittering on. And I have a neuro condition that makes speech actively impossible sometimes so now nearly all my interactions are written and it's bliss, whereas for less introverted sufferers that just adds another issue to an already horrible disease. My brother is the same and we've gone from maybe calling each other every 18 months or so to texting every few days - I don't know what it is, but it's waaaaay less stressful. And I both like and love my bro/SiL more than anyone, we just don't want to talk unless there's something to say.
And sorry, am thinking aloud and wittering at you now. It's just funny how, since the pandemic, the world has had to adjust to us rather than the other way round. We were evolutionarily primed to win that one! I spent so !such time and energy when I was younger trying to be "normal" tho - it's exhausting. I guess that's something we've all done, trying to live up to something that is just alien to us as if we're somehow wrong inside 🤔

@@randomhumanoidblob4506 by all means I appreciate your perspective. Being introverted is extremely difficult because people assume that we are distant and aloof. In the right scenario or around the right people, we can interact on a personal level. I actually prefer written text over spoken. If someone I knew just gave me a nod to acknowledge my existence, I would be happy. I don't need to know what is going on in someones life because I don't care, having them talk about it makes it worse. The quiet, seething frustration is very real and could possibly be a sign that your personality is INTJ. I am a Turbulent Architect INTJ, which is the rarest in the world and I make no apologies.

    • @organicmechanic5150
      @organicmechanic5150 Год назад +2

@@rainriver1281 it depends on the situation. My point about eye contact is that if I am not maintaining eye with someone and am looking at the ground, chances are that I am not listening and don't want to. I cannot be around people who talk for the sake of hearing their own voices.

Its not an "inner demon" that helps me criticize people. These things are so obvious, I wonder why people dont just see these glaring behaviors. I think its because we are not in any rush to be liked so the things that most people dont see on early interactions with another person, we notice it in the beginning because it matters who someone really is

I deal with a toxic person at work. He thinks that I hate him, but I do not. I just think that they are a lost cause and a waste of time to associate with.
I know that the person is sensitive and yet toxic. It is sad. To me though, I view it as case study to analyze to become a better person. By that I mean I ask myself if I am like them and how I can become better at dealing with people like that.
I still talk to him, but only about work related stuff. Nothing more.

Since I can not detect the true intention of humans, I simply choose to delete the social and
pointless aspect of my life. Being social offers few benefits but enormous negatives. There is little value in it. I have no friends, nor romantic interest, in my life. However, I have few of the negatives social people have. There is where I find value, not social connections.

I love how you keep saying toxic people. Everyone around me is toxic other then my children. Even people in the beginning "seem great and happy", over time the fake smiles disappear. The smiles become tantrums and anger. Yes, I am describing my life. I have 6 children under 13yo. I just "shut up". I am too tired to play stupid games or even care anymore. My life just feels completely pointless and useless. I don't even want to wake up in the mornings or at all. I honestly would sleep until I die. Why should I care about others needs if they can't care about my own. I don't even drive. So it's not like I can just go. I am TRAPPED.

Nothing wrong with being an introvert these days as long as you are mentally stable. I can be a bit of one too. Our society is getting increasingly sick, superficial and self-seeking. Having said that I have also met some very disturbed and delusional introverts that seemed ok at first.

Introversion and authenticity (I assume this is what is meant by “fake people” ) are completely different, independent personality characteristics. The premise of this video makes no sense.
It’s like asking “how do tall people communicate with those who’s favorite color is green?”
