Manju, I too am a “survivor” of the vitreous detachment that you so candidly and vividly described. Thank you for bringing this little known condition to a public forum. A week after I visited my ophthalmologist, I underwent laser vitrectomy treatment which, essentially, stapled my vitreous back to where it belonged. I’ve been problem-free for seven years now -- no more floaters, spiders, or flashes! I hope our twin experiences can be of benefit to someone else. Excellent post on this site!
