Randy Travis "He walked in Water" and "3 Wooden Crosses". These are two songs that are worth a reaction. They will hit you hard in the emotions.
Oh yes I love those songs
He has lots of great songs, he walked on water is the greatest in my opinion.
My favorite Randy Travis song is remember when👍👍
So true. Be ready to get hit in the feels.
Don't forget Diggin up Bones!!
If he wouldn't have had a devastating stroke at such a young age, I think that he would have continued to be a force in the music industry.
@teriwilkinson7816 Did you see on CBS Sunday morning he and his producers have found a way to help him with a new song? And he and his wife are lovely together 🥰
💯
I miss Randy Travis. He was devastated by that stroke.
Young age? He was 54
@@wampatan954 isn't exactly old.
A man that stands by his wife no matter what, your dad sounds like a great man.
I'm 39, my dad is 74 dying of cancer, my mother, 72, had a stroke in front of me last Thursday as she was trying to tell me a story about my 18 yr old cat trying to get my dad to pet her head with his arm hanging off the couch while he was taking a nap. She just couldn't finish her words and looked at me with this embarrassed look, so I pushed my emotions to the back of my head where they belong as a son now caring for his elderly parents, and I smiled at her and said mom let's go inside and get you something cold to drink.....Her and my father have been married 50 yrs last November. And they still respect each other, still love each other. Another day last week my dad was napping on the couch as he's fighting lung disease along with his cancer from working in a factory without a respirator, he has little stamina, and my mother was sitting beside him on a stool holding his hand gently rubbing his head while crying. Watching your parents slowly die sucks, but I'm sure it's that much harder for her as she watched her father die the same way when she was 20. I am however thankful I had two parents who loved me and still do and were patient with this wild dyslexic against the grain Appalachian son. And I'm grateful for each day I have the honor to serve them as the Bible commands we do with our elders. Great song, great reaction
😢😢😢
God bless you honey. My Mom and Dad were married 61 years when she passed away from cancer. Daddy missed her so much that 3 years later he stopped taking a his medicine was admitted to the hospital and signed his own DNR and passed a week later. It's absolutely so heart breaking to watch your elderly parents die before your eyes.
My Father passed away at home from cancer 13 years ago. We watched him waste away and it was so hard to witness. But, my Brother-in-law lost his Mom when he was out of town and it was sudden. He said he didn’t know which was hardest, slowly dying but surrounded by your loved ones while they also suffer and grieve through it, or it just gets slapped straight in your face. I’ve had it both ways, and I still cannot answer the question. God bless you and your family and may he give you comfort and peace.
Bless you. Just keep loving them!
Oh my goodness I was so touched reading this and can completely relay as I just lost my mum two weeks ago and my dad has terminal lung cancer cancer.Thet we’re together for 72 years. My poor dad is in bits with grief and we have mums funeral on Friday🥹Sending hugs xx
He, almost single handedly, saved the country music industry, in the mid 80s.
Yes he did!
For sure:)
Honey, you just barely got your toes wet. The country genre is deep and wide.
check out Craig Morgan "This aint nothin'" hope your ready
Randy’s catalog is deep. Lots of great songs including “Deeper than the Holler,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” “Digging up Bones.” He’s worth a listen
I love digging up bones..
Randy Bruce Traywick is his birth name. He told his wife that it was too long to put on the records, so he changed it to a shorter last name "Travis"
Randy Travis is literally the epitome of classic country music. He has been a part of my childhood growing up and will forever be one of the greatest. In 2013 he was hospitalized with viral cardiomyopathy, a virus that attacks the heart, and later suffered a stroke. He had to relearn how to walk, spell and read in the years that followed and his wife stayed by his side through it all. He even talks about how his fellow country music artists would visit him over the years and supported him as he overcame all the obstacles in his life. Doctors basically said he'd never make it, let alone walk, talk, or sing BUT even though he's not completely as he was before, he's still walking, talking, and recently with the help of AI has released a new song. Never say never, because God is in the miracle business.
You can listen to any randy travis song and feel emotional. Not just his lyrics but the way he delivers it.
Can't dig out of the hole!
He was discovered while washing dishes in a diner while singing. He suffered a major stroke years ago- can’t hardly speak. All his music is good.
He is considered one of the greats. I saw a CBS report recently where he’s going to be able to release new music utilizing AI (too complicated to explain!) his voice is incredible
Yeah, his first song in over a decade is out now - "Where That Came From." It's a beautiful song.
They have said he is working on his next one already.
If you do 3 Wooden Crosses brace yourself for the emotion, I've heard it a thousand times and I still cry Every time!
Me, too! EVERY time!
Please dive into the Randy Travis catalog, you won’t be disappointed
Diggin Up Bones, 1982, Three Wooden Crosses, and you will probably like He Walked On Water...this guy was huge in the 80s and 90s.
Wow for real ? I
So old ! I had it pegged in early 90s😮
This is the purest music video ever created.
Wanted to thank you for your reactions and speaking from the heart. I'm an older, white, conservative, christian, born and raised Tennessee boy. I appreciate what your doing and hope more people continue to support this channel. We need more of you speaking to the truth. Amen brother.
Thank you for the reminder of how blessed I am. My first husband passed just shy of the 30 year mark after he went into cardiac arrest. Then 8 years later, my second husband had to watch me go through chemo and radiation treatments. He stood with me, watched over me as I shriveled up to next to nothing and my pocket length hair fell out.
Today, I am a very grateful cancer survivor.
THIS is REAL country and it’s amazing!!!!!!!!
I say Amen every day of my life, my friend. We're out here praisin' the Lord, I promise.
This was this song my husband and I danced our 1st dance to at our wedding in 1996. I got to keep him as my forever and ever until 2007.
When my wife had cancer I played her survivor I Never Stopped Loving You
Please check out Randy singing Three Wooden Crosses.
Grab the hankies
The next song by Randy Travis should be "Three Wooden Crosses" ......it is also a song that you will not forget, and has so much meaning.
(His voice is stellar, and holds up in all the songs I have ever heard him sing.)
I can’t listen to Three Wooden Crosses anymore, I’m tearing up as I write this.
I'm 61, lost my husband of 34 years. And he will always be my love, forever and ever, Amen!
It is good to see a generation younger than me appreciate this song and the greater ideals that it represents.
Randy Travis was born Randy Bruce Traywick.
Great rabbit hole to go down!
Three Wooden Crosss
Digging Up Bones
I told you so
On the other hand
Look heart no hands
Deeper than the Holler
and many more
Randy Travis “three wooden crosses “ as my husband sits here and fights prostrate cancer. We are celebrating 50 years in June!!!
Through the 1970s and early 80s, country music took a turn towards more pop and rock. Artists like Randy Travis, Dwight Yoakum and Vince Gill started bringing it back to its roots.
Smooth like melted butter. Don't care much for most country music. Never have. But love every one of Randy Travis' songs. Best voice ever. Sounds effortless on his part.
“On the other hand” is another great song
To me, Randy Travis has always had the most soothing country voice
Randy was part of a movement in country music that brought the old sound back. Poetry and steel guitars. Love it
I met my husband when I was 16. Got married at 17. Been married for 39 years. College was never something I wanted. I want a family and marriage. I married with the understanding that this is for life ( so long nothing horrible). I have no regrets. 4 kids, 7 grandkids and 1 on the way. Btw, I'm 57. Love this song. People don't take vows serious anymore and it's heartbreaking.
I married my husband when I was sixteen and he was eighteen. That was forty three years ago and I would love to make it forty three more
I love me some Randy Travis. My parents listened to country music, so I grew up with it. I went a different way, but these old 80’s country songs will always be a part of me. Randy Travis was one of the greats until stroke took his voice away.
Please react to Randy Travis “He Walked on Water” and “3 Wooden Crosses” another one is “Diggin Up Bones”
Randy Travis is arguably the GOAT
My dad passed away just a couple months ago at 90 yrs old. Him and my mom were married almost 60 yrs. Now she is so lost without him she calls me crying because she doesn't know how to live without him.
Randy Travis, with the album containing this song, caused an entire movement in country music that was called "new traditionalism". It shaped the direction of country for about a decade until Garth Brooks came around.
I met my husband when I was 15 and a single mom. He was 35 and had been married 3 times before I met him. Everyone said it wouldn’t work out but he showed me what real love is and we have been together for 45 years on the 10th of May. I have cancer now and he is still working at 80 years old so we can afford my medical care.
He is a real man.
My parents were married for 51 years when my dad died in 2008. I promised my dad that I would take care of my mom and I'm still trying my best. People do still say amen but the only "attack" on Christianity is aimed at extremists..
we just need the "good Christians" to speak up against them.
Another heart warming song is Check Yes Or No by George Strait. Randy Travis and George Strait are 2 of the greatest out there!!
Oh honey, it’s definitely a classic. Randy Travis has been a treasure for a long time and you just gave him a wonderful reaction video. Thank you
BP PLEASE give a listen to Three Wooden Crosses, even if you dont do a reaction, you really need to give a listen,
I second that. It's a beautiful song.
Was married to my first husband 25 yrs. When he passed. I have been Married to my husband now for 26 yrs.. Marriage is special.
This looks like my life!!! Graduated high school in 73. Married in 74, 2 kids, beautiful families. We are married 50 years . Kids throwing us a huge party in November. Divorced was not even a question back then. You were in it forever, no excuses. You need to listen to 50's, 60's, most of the 70's. Country music had THE BEST MUSIC. PROVE ME WRONG. JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL. I'LL BE WATCHING . GOOD JOB MAN! This country music from these times are REAL LIFE. A way better life, wish people would be as real now. Spend some time in the older country music. It will make you a better person!. And only 1 divorce in our extended family. Between mom and dad...19 kids....and numerous kids in the next 2 generations. 1 divorce. 1. Let that sink in. We were raised right.
My 23 year old grandson told me after my husband died that he wants a love like his grandma and. grandpa had. Made me cry❤
Songs are just lyrical poems, and Randy Travis is one of the greatest poets of his generation
Love Randy Travis! So sad he can't sing anymore, but his catalog of songs will live on forever.
This is an all time classic and was probably played at most weddings back in the day. I bet in parts of this country this song is still played at weddings.
Me and you say AMEN and always will till we leave this world.
I can tell by you speaking from your heart. The world needs more of it again!!!
So sorry about your Mom. Sounds like your Dad honored his vows and demonstrated for you how it’s supposed to be❤️
Randy Travis is one of my favorites. His bass voice is smooth and his story telling amazing. Forever and ever... Amen 💜
I always felt like Randy Travis's voice was more like an instrument than a voice
Randy Travis is amazing. This is actually my and my husband’s song. Been together going on 25 years this July. My parents would have been married 50 years this past march we unfortunately lost my dad 3 years ago this past November and the love my mom still has for my dad is remarkable. ❤❤❤❤
He IS risen, brother… and He is coming back. Soon. Gotta teach our kids. Congrats on the new one coming! May she be healthy and happy.
Randy Travis' voice was amazing. He had a stroke and hasn't been able to sing. But he just released a new song with the help of AI - Where That Came From. Check out Deeper Than the Holler, Better Class of Loser, Diggin' Up Bones. I Told You So, 1982, On the Other Hand, It's Just a Matter of Time.
Randy's songs are almost neverending.
In the 80's and 90's there was also a young man by the name of Tracy Lawrence who had a long string of hits: Alibis, Sticks and Stones, Texas Tornado, Time Marches On, Paint Me a Birmingham, Today's Lonely Fool, How a Cowgirl Says Goodbye, Runnin' Behind, Can't Break it to My Heart, I See it Now,
Tracy was shot 4 times in a mugging in Nashville just before his first album was released. A lifelong friend had come to celebrate with him and he was dropping her off at her hotel when three men surrounded them and took their money and keys. When they asked what room they were in, Tracy realized this was not just a robbery. Fearing for their lives, he attacked the man that was holding a gun to his head. The other two focused on shooting at him, allowing his friend to run for help. He was shot in his finger, hip, knee and arm. One bullet came within a fraction of an inch from killing him. I never knew this until a few years ago. Quite a brave guy.
Wow, that is quite a story. Brave indeed.
I lost all my hair in 91, it never came back. My husband and I have been married 41 years on May 11. I walked around bald for years, decided to Tattoo my head. My husband loves it. This is our song. Love Randy Travis.
I drove what should’ve been a 3.5 hour ride in a snowstorm to see him, but I got there just in time to hear the announcer say “That was Randy Travis”. I was heartbroken, but I got to see Conway Twitty, who Randy was opening for (and who you should also check out). I did get to see him several times since, thankfully. Just listening to this video had me in tears. Love this song. Love Randy. “On The Other Hand” and “Diggin’ Up Bones” are favorites of mine. 💜💜💜
I'm happy you've discovered traditional country music.
No one has a voice like Randy Travis.
On may 26th of this month, my wife and i will be married 40 years. we married in 1984
Randy Travis came along at a time when country music was headed the wrong direction. He was a huge influence on getting it back on the right, traditional track.
Lost my son to cancer three weeks ago , brain, lung, liver and bone cancer. You are a blessing. I am 76 years old and will love him forever. I. Love country music and have listened to it all my life but you have made me love it more. Always a thumbs up for you. THANK YOU. I hope you read this.
Peace be to you and your family. Comfort and healing in your grief. So sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss 🫂
To me, Randy has the ultimate male Country voice, and he has no bad songs ❤
I think you'll enjoy "He Walked on Water" next.
Also, his first Gospel album is phenomenal!
He Walked on Water was my 1st favorites of his & he is my favorite gospel musician. ❤ I was able to share a Forever and Ever Amen love for 32 years with my husband until he passed away from cancer in September 2021. I thank God for blessings us to know true love!
His response was beautiful and I’m glad he was blessed with loving parents!
My mom and dad were married 55 years, dad was stricken and bedridden for the last 2 years of his life and she stayed there till the end. They passed away 13 months apart, almost to the day.
Young man you want real country???? Go back to the 80s in the 70s and 60s and 50s!!!” That’s real country”😘😘😘👍👍👍
Did you see the video from Alan Jackson? Remember when? His wife is in the video that will hit your heart strings ❤
My parents were married 54 years before cancer took my dad. The love of my life of 32 years passed away 3 years ago.❤❤❤
My husband has dementia and has a hard time knowing who I am, but I'm still there for him. My heart breaks but I'm here. 34 years!
Bless you❤️
@@secolerice Thank you. Bless you, also.
Randy had the traditional Southern childhood: wrecking a car in a cornfield, breaking into a church to have a party, DUI, stealing knives and watches, and public intoxication at the age of 17. Good ol Marshville lol
Randy Travis has one of those voices you cannot mistaken for another. He had a stroke a few years ago that effected his motor skills, his wife is still by his side and has helped him tremendously. He now goes to award shows, parties with limited ability to talk. He is so courageous and keeps on pushing to get better. He is a beautiful human being. I'm so happy you liked this wonderful song...Randy Travis will always be one of my favorite country artists. I pray he is able to bless us with his voice some day again.....
Married 58 years. My husband took me to a Randy Travis concert years ago. Always a favorite.
Christianity is alive and well. We will never stop.
"I Told You So". Pure heartbreak set to music. In Randy's rich baritone with his puppy dog eyes the entire video -- man or woman listening -- you don't have a soul if it doesn't move you. Period.
My parents were married 61 years before my dad passed of cancer and at 94 she’s still misses him every day. She’s the rock of our family…. My marriage is 34 years and this is what I hope for my three girls …. Luckily they all have amazing partners and we are blessed with 4 wonderful grandchild that I get to see weekly
My husband went bald and I still loved him. Then when I had cancer he stuck by me and what little bit of hair he did have he shaved off for me. He died from a heart attack in 2021. My hair grew back with a vengeance! Double thick!
ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME Official Video is a must watch!
I'm so sorry. Thank God for your love and inspiration for the rest of us
❤❤ to you and your family.
At an early age Randy’s stroke has robbed the world of his amazing talent
My dad used to sing this chorus to me as a lullabye when I was little. He doesn't sing it anymore, but we still say it. When one of us says "I love you", the other replies "Forever and ever, amen."
You can't go wrong with 80's and 90's country. Randy Travis, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Alabama....the list goes on and go. Listen to Randy Travis's "Three Wooden Crosses", that one will make you cry. Us country music fans are the most loyal you'll ever find.
Met my husband in our 40’s he spun my heart completely around. Everyone said they don’t make men like that anymore. Wanna bet. My only regret is we didn’t meet earlier. I call him … My Love. ❤
Back in the day- When my husbands hair was falling out from chemo- I sang this to him...."honey i dont care- I aint in love with your hair".... THIS is truth.
My husband & I were married 25 years until he died of cancer. He’d used to dance & sing this to me. I’m just waiting to get to him & I know he’s waiting for me.
This song has NEVER made me emotional! Watching you be emotional, got me emotional.........AMEN!!
I’m crying watching this because I’ve been blessed by a man who still loves me today. Next month we celebrate our 35th anniversary. I’m going through breast cancer and he’s been beside me the whole way. Through chemo, surgery, radiation and hormone blockers… he’s with me. Never give up on true love. 💙💙
Been with my wife for 20 years, this song is what I strive for in my marriage every day.
Are we going to convert you ?????????? Country music is deep!!! Randy Travis is CLASSIC COUNTRY. So glad to hear someone say that this music is good.
My mom loved Randy Travis, I like you, hated on country music and wouldn't give it a chance, but I remember hearing this song and numerous others of his playing in the house.
Deeper than Thr holler, I told you so , on the other hand are some must listen R. Travis songs
Country music at its best is honest, simple and unpretentious. It says what means, means what it says and just lays it out there.
I’ve always loved Randy Travis. Rest his soul. He used to live in the same area as I do and I would occasionally see him at the supermarket. He was always so kind.
He always had time to say hello even with all the health struggles he had. Such an amazing person.
Three Wooden Crosses is an amazing storytelling song I think you would love.
He had stroke a few years ago and can’t talk now. But I heard on the radio that due to the power of AI he was able with the help of others to release a new song this week.
I love the lines: "hair turns gray... I'm not in love with your hair; if you lost it all, i'd love you anyway."
My highschool best friend used this song as her first dance. 30 years later they are going strong.
A Christian man who loved the Lord
Smooth country butter. That's his voice. Beautiful.
My grandparents were married for 62 years and my parents just celebrated their 67th anniversary! My sister is getting ready to celebrate her 39th anniversary (I wasn’t so lucky) so it really does still happen!!
If you have not reacted to "3 wooden crosses" by Randy Travis, I swear you won't regret it, and the song is going to throw you a plot twist that I swear you won't see coming!!
The lines about old men and old women always gets me ❤
22 years with my wife and i wouldn't have it any other way. She's the one i want to be with forever and ever.
Amen 🤩
Facts!! Been with mine for 26.
My dad was a huge country music fan. I grew up listening to this song. Unfortunately, my dad died from cancer in 1988 when I was 16 & he was 60. My parents met when they were teens & married young. They had a very long & loving relationship. When my dad had cancer, it went to his brain & he ended up forgetting who everyone was. We had him on home hospice. At one point, he was trying to get out of bed so my mom thought that by laying in the bed beside him, it might calm him down. I will to this day remember the look of shock on his face and him telling her, "Look lady, I don't know who you think you are, but I am a happily married man." He may not have physically recognized her, but his heart still remembered their love! My mom lived for another 25 years after my dad passed. She never wanted to date anyone. She said that she had found her true love and that no one could ever come close to him in her heart.
When my husband died I crawled up into Jesus’ lap and married Him and I am happy with that.
That's her brother she's asking to play for her wedding!
My parents were married 42 years when my Dad passed. Mom had this song played at his funeral. It was one of their sons. ❤
