- In the early 1960s, Victor Torres and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York from their native Puerto Rico in search of a new life. The American dream quickly fades as they face a life of want in their adopted home. As a new recruit in a street gang, a teenage Victor embarks on a lucrative new drug-trafficking business in an attempt to help his struggling family. Victor is quickly enslaved by drug use, and his parents, Manuel and Lila, desperately search to find a way to help their son. A faith-based rehabilitation program is their last chance to rescue Victor.

A touching and emotional journey of pain, suffering & toil caused by careless attitude, behavior & conduct resulting in a slippery slope of endless mistakes culminating in wrong company & drug addiction. This movie shows a small mistake can snow ball into a collateral damage. And by turning to God and surrendering to Him, we can make a u-turn and transform from a victim to become a victor. An excellent movie to show we must look to God and not let our guard down.

Beautiful story, thank you lord for saving this young mens live, for his mother and for the pastor of his neighborhood. The only thing that upset me was the lack of effort that his father put in to Victor. If what I saw on the movie by the person who portrayed his father is true we can tell from a mile that his father was just useless, he had no voice in the home, he was just whatever at everything like if he dies fine and if he lives fine also. All I saw was that the mother and even victor's little brothers were the one praying for him, putting the real effort to help him.

It is such a great shame that it is exactly how the enemy gets us entrapped.... "just a harmless shot (or whatever). come on, you will enjoy it" .... that's the lie, and then comes the regret and the enemy's condemnation. But that GOD that He is long suffering, and will NOT let His beloved sheep fall on the wayside !!! Thank GOD for His Mercy and Grace.
This movie is so close to "The Cross and The Switch Blade".
In fact, the pastor in this movie is Ralph Wilkerson and the producer is his son, Greg Wilkerson. Another life that was transformed through the ministry that became Teen Challenge.
