This series will always have a little gooey party of my heart. Before the first one came out, they had a contest where you could submit things people were thinking. I submitted some immature jokes and never heard anything from about, turns out that was because I was a dumb kid and used my Mom's work email. I actually won, but because her name was attached to the email her name is in the credits and if they sent us anything it got sent to her spam box. She thought it was hilarious and would say she was "finally published!" So if you get a chance, take a look at the credits of the first, and keep and eye out for "Robin Stone." I miss you Mom

If you guys have never played this, the original is spectacular and the remake is gonna be awesome. BUY IT. It’s fine if you skip the first one but at least play one of these and support the wonky fun that this game offers.
Came from the ign review god that guy is a buzzkill!! This game perfectly capture that 2000s era of gaming where everything was satire, crude and humorous. Its also updated to play on current gen hardware while also retaining that feel of the 2000s when people where creative!!! 10/10 in my book thank you for this review ACG
So lett me get this straight. The devs here actually made a great remake of a game from back in the mid 2000s. While Saints row which came out mid 2010s can't make even a decent playable reboot?
Don’t get me wrong saints row is an A1 piece of shit but the series literally did start in the mid 2000’s and not the mid 2010’s lol. It’s last main entry was all the way back in 2013.
Completely different scenario’s. For one a remake is not remotely a reboot. A successful remake just needs to follow the blueprints of the original with improved graphics (and anything from there (like adding in new/cut content)) is instant god tier status. A reboot is something completely new that needs to please the original’s core audience AND appeal to a new modern audience that is looking for something completely different. A successful reboot is actually really REALLY hard. Actually I haven’t seen one (or none immediately come to mind) that didn’t almost entirely piss off the core fanbase and leave the pieces to be picked up by a new passing audience that didn’t know or care about said franchise, but kinda enjoyed the modern take. The closet thing I’ve seen to a successful reboot is God of War, which was a soft reboot and basically just a sequel with some retcons. SR also has the added problem of a flailing identity. SR4 was a commercial and review flop when it released years ago. The story and game overall felt soulless where the only fun was in a sandbox and beating up cops. Gat out of Hell was much better with a more coherent story and same crazy gameplay, but also not a full game and just a standalone DLC. Agents of Mayhem was something completely different and more just a spin off with its own gameplay style. A lot of SR fans have said it died after 2, with 3 and especially 4 failing them. And then just pretty much everyone agrees 4 let them down entirely and was only good for crazy stupid sandbox fun. I’m just saying people are acting like the SR reboot is a new problem and not just the same repeated problem the game has arguably had since after 2 and definitely since after 3.
I loved these games so much as a kid and even remember being mindblown because some new friend I met in middle school gave me Path of the Furon to play for free. Such a nostalgic gem

There are two sides of games industry in this week, one Saints Row which ditched their core identity for a new one, and the one this masterpiece which embraced their goofy identity. Normally I'd buy games like this day one, but games like Cyberpunk and Dying Light 2 were too recent to forget the lessons those releases reminded me of; wait a month at least, 6 months at best, a year at most before jumping on new games.

I was just going into High School when this originally came out. I remember seeing it constantly advertised as a sponsor for re-runs of Happy Days, played through the whole thing and it was awesome, Crypto’s design is perfect. The missions were a huge step up from the first game’s.

I come back to the original Destroy All Humans 2 every couple of years because of how well the enjoyment holds up. It is just so much to play. I'm very happy you enjoyed the remake so much. I couldn't be more excited for it!
I've been hanging out for this release since I played the remastered Destroy All Humans! I first thought it was a bit simple in design but there's a brilliance in the cartoonish and stylized graphics that just works SO DAMN WELL. The parody of American culture and media and politics reminds me of the Grand Theft Auto humor. WE NEED MORE OF THIS... and less of the hipsters in games like the new Saints Row. The more 'new' games come out and SUCK COMPLETELY the more I turn back to the CLASSICS. How about you? I just started doing game play videos on my channel, if you're curious come have a peek. It's a bit of an experiment but the important thing is I have a lot of FUN.
Can't wait to see all those new skins. The ps2 games didn't have any alternate skins or ship customization of any kind so I know I'm gonna do multiple playthroughs with different skins just like Spider-Man ps4.

I might bought it.
Was on the fence but as always I searched up to see what you had to say first.
I come back to the original Destroy All Humans 2 every couple of years because of how well the enjoyment holds up. It is just so much to play. I'm very happy you enjoyed the remake so much. I couldn't be more excited for it!
I can't wait to dive back into this again.
Such a super fun experience.
It really is!
And to think I nearly bought Saints Row when I can get this and relive my childhood. ACG is a god send
I’ve never played 2 Big Willy or the other so I’m STOKED!!! I look forward to Steel Rising on the 8th!
I never got the chance to play these games back in the day. I might have to try them out
The first one was so fun, I'm excited to play this one
Did you know you could fit around 63 Earths in Uranus
Wow! Uranus is HUGE!
Remember when cosmetics where gameplay rewards?
I LOVED this game as a child. When my next paycheck comes in, I might pick this up for playstation
RUclips has not been recommending your videos. I missed so much. Thank you for the review. 🙏🏾
Never played this game, looks like it could be mindless fun, a break from the more serious games.
Brings back memories. Hope is as good as the previous remaster.
Can't wait to see all those new skins. The ps2 games didn't have any alternate skins or ship customization of any kind so I know I'm gonna do multiple playthroughs with different skins just like Spider-Man ps4.
We need a War of the Monsters remake done with this level of care.
I'm stoked to play this I was pleasantly surprised by the first one
Yes, great to here they delivered with the sequel!
Same here!
On pc yeah but saw on ps5 framerate drops and screen tearing plus bad pop in textures.
The new saints row and this game show the duality of the gaming industry very well
The nostalgia is gonna hit me full force when “she changes like weather” plays
Thanks bud. Man I wish thry would remake Hulk devastation that came out around the original release of this game.
