    Your new Heisman Trophy Winner! Was McCaffrey robbed?? (Personally, I think so)
    Henry was a monster & definitely was a force to be reckoned with, but without McCaffrey, Stanford wouldn't have even finished in the top 25. But hey, that's just my opinion! Thanks for watching my video!!

      +Harris Highlights It's gonna come down to him, deshaun watson, and baker mayfield i think. If he has a good game this weekend. he'll win it without question. if he has a bad game and watson has a good game, then I think Watson takes it. If they both have bad games, then I think Mayfield will win it. He's definitely the front runner going into this weekend though.

    Bunch of bama and Henry haters out there. If yall knew anything, yall would know Henry had four 200 yard games and broke Herschels single season rushing record. No one can tell me that that is ALL due to the O line. The correct answer would be how many carries he got in games and that he is a monster. Congrats on that Heisman and roll tide

      4 games? He has played 13 including the sec championship and they played 10 back in Herschels day but also Derrick broke Hershels record for most in single season including a bowl game if that means anything and if you think bout it he didn't play much in Char. Southern or MTSU games so that's minus 2 . Can't wait to watch him in semifinal game!!!! :)

  • @littlemikeism
    @littlemikeism 8 лет назад +27

    You people need to read the criterion for the Heisman before commenting. People saying Stanford would be nowhere without McCaffrey doesn't mean shit. This is not the NBA where the player who is the most valuable to his team is supposed to win. Derrick Henry broke two records set my previous Heisman winners against some of the best defenses in the nation. He single handedly has carried Alabama as the freshman receivers matured to give Coker and the offense some resemblance of a passing game. Taking nothing from the accomplishments of McCaffrey this season, the best player won the Heisman.

      +Daniel Essen Derrick will make for a fine representative of the trophy. His offensive line is outstanding though and on some of those games they gave it to him over 40 times. I hope he has a stellar career. McCaffrey is very obviously, much quicker and faster with superior open field running. The offensive line Bama had back in Trent Richardson and AJ McCarron was best I ever saw. I never thought they got anywhere near the adulation they deserved.

    • @paulwoodard494
      @paulwoodard494 8 лет назад +4

      +greg j McCaffrey is quicker but not faster. Mccafrey gets to max speed quicker because he's shorter but at max speed Henry's faster, it's just that Henry has to get momentum to get there

    There is nothing special about Henry. Yet another Alabama back that just has to run straight through wide open gaps. We've seen it over and over with 'Bama backs. Same story here. The only really good back that played in that system was Lacy. You watch Fournette and Cook and you see natural runners. You watch Henry and you just see a big guy that can run in straight lines. Stiff as a board.

    • @bacardibum
      @bacardibum 8 лет назад

      +elsephen stanford had the 11th ranked o line before the season started. alabama had the 8th. and henry had 10 more td's than mccaffrey.

    • @chaosmos24
      @chaosmos24 8 лет назад

      +bacardibum He had them because he is bama's offense inside the red zone. Shaw didn't really use McCaffrey in the red zone and opted for a larger player in those situations. The fact is that Stanford would have never even been in the red zone the vast majority of the time without McCaffrey. Whether you think Henry was more deserving or not, it is inarguable that McCaffrey had better overall stats and impacted the game in a variety of ways. He had a historic season breaking Barry Sanders' record for total yards in a season and is clearly versatile in a way Henry isn't.

      ***** Lacy had a horrible year compared to Starks and they run behind the same Oline. Green Bay has a top 10 Oline but Dallas is Top 3. Lacy also gained a lot of weight from what it looks like. Lacy isn't that good in my opinion compared to other RB's in the league.

      Green Bay's run blocking is horrible, trash, a complete joke; take it from a Vikings fan. Lacy was the only bright spot in the run game against Arizona, which has a good defense. Even James Stark didn't run well behind the same oline. If Lacy could lose a little bit of weight he'll be fine.
      Lacy and Henry are two different players, every Bama back is different.

    He's slow, has no lateral quickness and literally cant do anything but hit gaps and run over defensive backs, he's going to be a bust. Cant wait for the browns to draft him.

      Roll Damn tide 205 If you're going to call someone retarded at least at the minimum spell "you're" right and get a real 40 time. He runs between a "4.44 and 4.54" and thats according to Alabama, and if you're going by that then Zeke runs 4.34. www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=127274&draftyear=2017&genpos=RB

      +Roll Damn tide 205 Outrunning DB's has nothing to do with lateral quickness. He's right, Henry won't be getting anywhere with that complete lack of lateral quickness.

    • @legend1092
      @legend1092 8 лет назад

      Not hating. Henry likely will win the Heisman and is in my opinion one of if not the best running-back currently in college. However, whether or not that will translate to the NFL level is a different matter.

      Tasman Kuang McCaffery deserves it way more in my opinion, he's having one of the greatest years of a college football player of all time

      jaquan541 That's funny because I projected Gurley to not play the whole season but still lead all rookies in rushing yards. Don't act like Henry is the next Gurley because Gurley's lateral quickness is at least 2x faster even after the ACL tear.

    I think he's probably the best Running Back In Bama history, I know that's saying a lot but I'm a Die Hard Alabama fan and have seen a bunch in 40yrs of watching em. He's as good Or Better than any back that's ever wore Crimson uniform.

    Derrick Henry is a good kid and a helluva ball player. I wish him well with his career. Like many, I am East Coast time and did not know anything about this McCaffrey kid except just bits and pieces of games on ESPN the day after. I tuned in with interest to watch the Rose Bowl and holy shit! Kid's burst once daylight is achieved is eye popping. Open field moves are eye popping. I hear that "Reggie Bush" is his hero and I saw a lot of similarities. They are even built the same.

    For me I'm concerned of Henry can really explode through the hole and get through it. And read his blocks... In Alabama he can run through some pretty open holes. I think he's an excellent 2nd round pick who has tremendous potential. He has a ceiling like Eddie George.

    Alabama's O-line can make any back look great. Didn't see to many tackles being broke, just wide open holes.

      You obviously didn't watch 5 star RB Harris this year. Averaged maybe 2 yards a carry. Drake, and another NFL prospect was not effective enough to even get 1/4 of the carries. No, Alabama's OLine, was good, but Henry broke the SEC rushing record because every 3rd carry went 7+ yards. He is faster than the defenses if he gets some space, and if he is tackled, it is committee or they had to go for the ankles. He is a breakaway threat at any moment. Never saw anyone catch him from behind. A player that weighs 250. Freak

    Henry is a big back with alot of speed for his size if he works on his quickness and agility . He can ballout in the NFL . I dont think that he had most of those yards due to his oline because bama had alot of negative plays because of how the oline performed . And despite that he was still able to get 100+ yards on very good defenses

  • @fwdjsee011
    @fwdjsee011 8 лет назад

    He couldve had 200 more yards, but he didnt play at all against lower level teams really. look at his stats this year against the Charleston Southern and Louisiana Monroe. He didnt pad stats and still had crazy numbers. I'll miss the king

    I'm not a Patriots fan but Henry would go best in that system. I think they need a true 20+ carry back to win against tough defenses. Their complete lack of a ground game against Denver and lack of protection was what doomed them.

Or better yet strap up and call him a fraud to his face let me see how far he drags your sorry behind. All Im saying is dude produces and he had a right to the Heisman just like McCaffery.

    I'm not saying this cause I'm a Bama fan but watching these highlights makes me wanna watch him during the Combine cause Ima be real he doesn't look fast but after the second cut he puts that shit in seconds gear with that high step and he's loose. I hope he does good in the NFL I just wanna know who will draft him also he looks like a second rounder but u never know someone might take him in the first round. But comparing him to Gurley man idk Gurleys a stud I'm not saying Derrick isn't but let's just hope he gets off like Todd did in his Rookie year. Great highlight video Btw great!!!!
