We will go over all the abilities, feats, skills and unique talents of the Play Station game variant of Spider-Man, and the Amazon Prime TV series of Homelander, Queen Maeve, Black Noir, Starlight, The Deep, Translucent, and A-Train and discussing who would win in an all out brawl? Would the corrupt heroes of this universe reign supreme, or could Peter Parker introduce a sense of real justice to this world?

i came into this expecting “spider-man could win but he’d need symbiote” to come out questioning how weak homelander really is
It's hard to say but DC/Marvel heroes have challengers to grow from facing so they have to get stronger. Maybe if they trained and were challenged it would be closer.
Homelander is not weak, he is untrained and boyish.

This is also completely disregarding the fact that Peter now has the permanent boost of Anti-Venom. Which is stated to just be the same boost as the symbiote just without the corruption and clearly without the weakness to sound, and this symbiote was already beefed up from the comics in several ways, as sound was its only weakness, and it's stated to actually be completely fireproof
And that's not even scratching the surface. Say hello to Caustic Touch, the move where anti-venom can remove any impurities from the victims body, including but not limited to diseases, radiation, poison, and even serums. Basically if you got your powers from something else, he can take them away. So that's the entire Seven turned back into humans.

It being completely fireproof and also making him so strong is what annoyed me about the final Flame mission where he's "pinned" under a train car that he should be able to bench press without the symbiote, and is in danger of dying from being burned and needs Yuri to save him.... even though he's wearing the Anti-Venom symbiote and should be no-selling the entire scenario.

Spider-Man’s greatest asset in this scenario wouldn’t be his powers. It would be his brilliant mind. If he gets his hands on Compound V, he’d be able to study it and maybe make a counteracting agent against it. He has made sonic-based weaponry before and Supes in The Boys are weak against high frequencies. His experience as an investigative journalist would also be important here. He’s not just taking down the Seven. He’s taking down all of Vought.

Totally agreed. Spidey’s list of villains is easily as varied as any hero’s, but where, say, Batman can fall back on WayneTech’s R&D department, Spidey has to accomplish the same thing using only the resources of his local college chem lab.
I'd like to see a what-if or fanfic that goes into detail on Peter coming into The Boys universe and absolutely wrecking and exposing Vought for everything they've done. Along with defeating the Seven, it would be so cool to see him bring justice to that dreary place.

The biggest flaw with the A train light speed argument is that starlight's beams cannot possibly be light. If you can see it moving, then it isn't light, in order for you to see ANYTHING light must bounce off of that thing and hit your eyes or the thing itself must emit light, therefore if A train saw starlight's beams then they cannot be light itself.
Wouldn't that just be fiction showing you something for the Story to happen? Realistically, everyone in dragon Ball Wouldn't be able to be seen by the viewers
@@djb9267 Yes, that is a possibility, but considering the more grounded nature of the Boys I think what we saw could be taken more literal, as A Train was still able to see Starlight's beams in order to react to them and I doubt he has some sort of sense like characters in Dragonball that would allow him to dodge something without seeing it.

Spiderman fought Venom and the sinister 6 so he would absolutely destroy, this is also taken the fact that Spiderman fought Electro someone who is living electricity and fought Sandman a kaiju sized monster
Depends on the version. Electro is sometimes just a guy with electrokinesis, and Sandman rarely goes giant sized.
A-train repeatedly breaks his supposed max speed and when training and searching for Starlight/Huey so he's blatantly ignoring feats. Soldier Boy's blast is based on emotion and a weaker one is city block level, Maeve tanked a far stronger one while weakened

And what people tend to forget is that while the spider sense warns him, Peter still has to choose to react. If there are 7 different sources of danger at once, he has to pick which to react to. That's how he sometimes gets hit by a stray bullet or by punches he should be able to predict. If he is exhausted it doesnt matter how many warnings he gets, he simply cant react.
Fun fact: you are using Insomniac Spidey. If we use the comic book version, we are talking about a guy who bested the Hulk, and needed Iron Man to create a suit specifically to counter him in order to win. I won't even go into how much more powerful he is in the comics, I just felt like saying comic book Spider-Man is willing to off his opponents if they are evil enough (look at Maximum Carnage). Yeah, Homelander is going to turn into a slime as soon as the web-head gets serious.

@@ProTroll69 You clearly don't read the books. Spider-Man doesn't need to be bullet proof as his spidey sense and reflexes make it unnecessary. Cyclops, who has eye beams faster and more powerful than Homelander, couldn't shoot Peter. He has been able to evade his beams. Peter also hits hard enough to hurt Colossus, break Tony Starks armor, and knock out Rhino. Homelander has been hurt by a crowbar before. The Seven are screwed.
Insomniac spidey might have some problems but i think he’s got it especially now that he has Anti Venom especially if it’s a fight to the death and peter wouldn’t hold back

One correction on your point about "you need Mach 33 to escape the Earth's gravity": that's imprecise.
You need mach 33 to escape the Earth's gravity well IF AND ONLY IF you have no continuous acceleration and are getting out in one go, like how IRL rockets accelerate once and then let their momentum carry them out. Homelander can continually accelerate against Earth's gravity until he's outside its gravity well, so he could theoretically do it at 0.1 m/s if he wanted to painstakingly fly out of the planet.

I was literally about to comment basically this same thing. If Homelander can literally levitate, counteracting gravity without any momentum, then he doesn't have an escape velocity, he can just float higher and higher until he's in space

the problem with the nuke statement is that it's a blanket statement lacking context. there is a numerous amount of interpretations to be made with this statement, for example. an interpretation you could prolly say is that these weapons failed because homelander is simply too fast to even be hit by them. or maybe homelander disabled them before getting hit, etc
especially since there is no way this can be true since his ear can be pierced by a pen if that can happen then surely radiation can get into the crevices of his body he is clearly not impenetrable and Maive had to use the force and speed of a normal person at least specifically for that move or else the pen would either break against his ear or turn to dust from the speed neccesary to pierce Homelanders ear if were to believe that Homelander is as durable as the show likes to tell us.

Dude. Batman stands no chance. He is the most wanked characters because all it takes is an author to not understand the difference between relative and absolute difference.
Oh, batman dodge this attack. What, it was a MFTL point blank attack, no but you see, batman is the most efficient fighter and he can dodge in advance. Because they don't understand that dodging in 0.001s and 0.0001s isn't a minor difference due to 0.001-0.0001 being small, but its massive because it's 10x.
And also, if he predodge, he's still not moving in the eyes of any character. So it's like, can you hit a stationary target if it's moved 1cm to the right.
No matter how well batman can pre dodge and is efficient in martial art, any decent speed character would have 1000x the time to readjust course and change the direction their fist is going. The hit is landing.
Batman doesn't have Omega 999 Dimensional Big brain to make plans that defeat All knowing gods by using a cheap fucking gimmick, thay's just horrible writting. Nor massively faster then light movement (or whatever equivalent you'll give due to martial art and prediction). Nor can He see in the future or slow down the perception of his enemies.
And if you say: Oh but hellbat suit, or steal the chair, like that's not even something he created. It's made by other.

Sipey can track an react to Quick Silver; he's faster than light by around 10. Then he's fought those with teleportation.

@CitrusRev Spiderman can't react to the flash. Flash moves near light speed. Flash would be like a statue to Flash.
Spiderman is fast, but doesn't have reflexes anywhere near as fast as Flash.
I suppose Spiderman could get a tingle and start to react, but not if Flash was on the other side of the earth.

The whole "They hit Homelander with every weapon on Earth" line is highly dubious. They couldn't have tested nukes on him, as the military/government controls the nukes and haven't had any interest in working with Vought or supes in the past. Vought themselves wouldn't have access to nukes to test on Homelander. So it's highly likely that the claims he could withstand a nuke are hyperbole from a Vought employee who had ample reason to exaggerate.

We see his speed in comparison to the lasers. The lasers are moving in slow motion alongside him. They are at least moving around the same speed

@@ToaaCentral Not necessarily. The lasers don't have to be actual light, and since we can see the lasers move, it means they're slower than the light they emit.
What's more likely is that Starlight shoots plasma blasts or something like that, since they're just matter they have nothing to do with the speed of light. Which means A-Train is just faster than the speed at which Starlight can shoot her blasts, whatever that speed may be.
But that's just a theory, a power scaling theory.

we've literally seen starlight's beams moving at a speed normal humans can react to. They're like... an energy ball attack. It's not slow, but it's not that quick either, she doesn't just snap her fingers and vaporize people. Like a normal person can't dodge her, but their eyes can widen in shock before they feel the impact. It visually registers.
I love how the Deep just isn't even a part of this conversation
If you are capable of self propelled flight you dont need to reach escape velocity to go to space, that is the speed at which you would need to jump to escape earths gravity well. Homelander could travel upwards at 100m/s and reach space in less than an hour if he wanted

All spidey has to do is be their therapist and help them become actual heroes. Or he can humble them like he did many superhero teams that were coordinated and mentally stable.
plus, the very rarely commented on but still cannonical power of 'spidey sense' that is ACTUAL PRECOGNITION. when you have a character with even a low level of precognition and the otehr side doesn't have it, the equation becomes fairly straightforwards: A), does the side with precog have enough power to defeat the other side, and B) does the other side have any abilities that are 'unavoidable' even with a precog warning. If A is yes and B is no, as in this case, then it's an open and shut case
God forbid we use the spider-man who was tagging silver-surfer. Like comic spider-man is doing these people absolutely dirty

Dude give pete the symbiote and it's a wrap for homelander, i can see pete having some mercy on them and or falling for some tricks they might use and potentially losing because of that since insomniac peter does have that problem in some fights. Just a quick note, you misrepresented what escape velocity means and how it applies. A mach 33 escape velocity means you need to be moving at mach 33 at the surface of the planet, and assumes you have no upwards acceleration. Since Homelander can fly he could move upwards at any speed and be able to get to space since he isn't affected by gravity.

I like how y'all didn't even mention the Anti-Venom symbiote Peter got at the end of the second game. He's just as if not stronger than when he had the black suit, since it has zero drawbacks or weaknesses. No weakness to sound or fire, enhances his already absurd strength and speed and reactions, as well as gives him tendrils and whatnot. It can also heal sounds as severe as a fatal stab to the gut or a broken arm so he's always at peak physical performance. Doc Ock beat him the first time they met. Vulture did, too. Later, he could take on and defeat the entire Sinster Six. He has the proportional strength of a spider, but that strength varies on what the writer wants from him. His spider sense warns him of almost any danger, but like Daredevil's radar sense, the range and the amount of time he's warned vary wildly, based on the needs of the story. His ability to dodge, react, the strength of his webs, all of those change when he needs them to in order to overcome the obstacles of the story. Like Barry Allen's speed in the CW Flash show. It's like he forgot how to do things he did just a few episodes earlier. So while Spider-Man did all those things in the comics or games or movies or cartoons, comparing his power level compared to someone NOT the hero in their story with a flexible powerset is foolish. Superman has the same problem. He's as strong as he needs to be, as powerful as he needs to be, because he's the HERO.

This is interesting because the visuals tell a completely different story, we have never seen insomniac Spider-Man move as fast as a train does and we also know almost every member of the 7 is bulletproof while Spider-Man isn’t. So even though Spider-Man has better feats it’s just hard to visualize him taking down the 7
Spiderman has conscious reaction times faster than any of the Seven top speed. Meaning, none of them can hit him. You can't beat what you can't even touch.

A-train moves too fast to be seen, Spiderman does nothing of the sort. Nearly every single supe in the boys is bulletproof and Spiderman is not. There is literally no way he defeats them except his spider sense making it really hard for them to hit him. People need to stop taking specific feats which are in no way conclusive and instead actually use their eys to watch the characters. Plus, characters need to stop being judged by the strongest thing they ever did one time and look at what they are usually capable of.

Some of those "Street threats" unlike homelander, can hold up a plane. He has stopped the hulk and silver surfer before. He massively holds back on the weak guys, and gets hurt because of it now and then.

To clarify, the mach 33 to get to space is with an initial force (like a gun or catapult). You can get to space at any velocity as long as you have a constant force acting on you (like a rocket or a flying supe)
