@@OggaDugga A manual 599 was for sale last year, it doesn't have a price but the article says it was expected to sell between $375,00 and 475,000, on the other hand you can go research right now and find used 599 GTO's for sale for around $600,000 all the way up to a million. Having ridden this car in 2015 and fanboying about it ever since, I've grown more appreciation on the 430 Scuderia all because of this review. Love this review James!! Now review my favorite Porsche of all time, the 997.2 GT3 RS :>
Love the sound of the 430 Scuderia.... even more than the 458 Speciale. 3 cars for modern classic series... E60 M5, 996 GT3RS and first gen Honda Nsx. Im really enjoying this series. Another goal from you James.
TheChazas The 918 is a successor of the 959. I know the both cars are very different but they are both on the top of the Porsche line up so technically it’s a successor.
Couple of corrections.. Scud simply isn't as fast as an Enzo. It wasn't until Ferrari built the 458 that that gap disappeared (between a V8 and Enzo). Secondly.. The Scud's gear changes are actually fairly smooth for a single clutch. For the "slamming home" type of changes mentioned, you'd need to go back to earlier 430s or the CS / 360. Those cars will readjust your spine in no time 😉
Ferrari perfected that F1 gearbox in the 430 Scud, just the perfect amount of roughness and even Lamborghini can't match that gearbox with a newer generation car like the Aventador or more modern variants of it.
Aaahhhhh... thank you so much for bring up this car... i totally remember when i first saw its pictures and straight away i fall in love... the way they sculptured the rear diffuser is magnificent... and my favourite colour of it is the red with the gold stripe with gold wheels... it is truly beautiful...
Spot on describing the 430 Scuderia! I've driven bother the Scud and the 16m and the 16m loses a bit of the feeling and internal sound because of the roof line.
There was a 430 scud at donington park when I was there in 2016. I won't forget the sound of it flying down the straight full throttle! To top it off it was accompanied by a decat F12!! 😱😍 Great video James!
