Part 3: Adaptive Kayaking Progress
In this video I show you our special-needs child Josh age 10 with PWS also known as Prader-Willi Syndrome, and ASD also known as autism spectrum disorder, finally getting in the pool with his adaptive coach to try out the kayak.
This kayak is a one-man kayak inflatable purchased on Amazon by our coach letting us borrow it here in our pool and it’s under $100 made by Intex and comes with an oar and back support. It’s called the K-1 challenger and we love this inflatable kayak.
We’re excited because Josh is making progress getting into the kayak on his own. He has his life jacket on in our pool in a quiet environment which he enjoys and help with learning.
So this is one step closer to him learning how to use a kayak on his own, which is great progress.
