The Doors have MANY songs that can get stuck in your head! And make you want to immediately listen to them again, like this one! I mean, like: MANY. "break on through" is another great short one, as is "People are strange." "The End " is ten minutes of weird, wild epicness. You've heard some of it if you ever saw the film "Apocalypse Now" (and you should). I love that you're "doing the decades!" 1967-1973 was the high point of rock and roll genius, imo.
YAY, The Doors!!! I don't think there's a single song from The Doors that I don't love. I can't even say that about Pink Floyd, my ultimate favorite. You're going to get a lot of requests for their songs and here are some from me: When the Music's Over, LA Woman, The End, and Spanish Caravan to start with.
Dude…this is on the pop side of their songs. You are definitely in for a journey. My Dad graduated high school in 1963 and said Jim Morrison was a prophet. Have fun figuring that out!
Jim Morrison and the Doors were like a meteor, they appeared in a flash in 1967 and (mostly) disappeared after Jim's death in 1971. In between, they released six iconic albums that have withstood the test of time. While Morrison gets the lion's share of the credit, the musicians--Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger, and John Densmore--made Morrison's lyrics work.
Hey Hector, I'm so excited for The Doors!! My aunt introduced me to them, she was only 6 years older than me. Yayyyyyyyyy!!!💜💜💜My mum and my aunt are 17 years apart, so my aunt gave me a great intro to music, The Doors, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin. So so much!!! I think you would love some more.... Morrison
Hi Hector! The Doors are one of the greatest bands of all time, and in my honest opinion, the greatest American Band of the 1960's. So many great songs. You should delve more into the Doors. They will touch your soul! Here's my Recommendation for 2 songs to get you started----"Roadhouse Blues", then "LA Woman". Peace
The Doors is an interesting group. Two more suggestions for the ‘70’s: Jethro Tull’s “Songs From The Wood,” and Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park.” Two totally different types of music; both iconic sounds of the ‘70’s.
LA based US band...the Doors really pushed the limits and Jim Morrison the singer was considered a threat, and was arrested a few times... Other great Doors tracks Five To One When The Music's Over Riders On The Storm ... very few duds in the Doors catalog
The Doors…GREAT! What I find truly odd was that, reading allot of the comments with suggestions for The Doors, I kept seeing LA Woman, Light My Fire, The End, Riders on the Storm…I didn’t see any for this song. It’s pretty obscure. Which begs the question: How do you pick your songs? An honest question. On the face of it, it doesn’t appear to be from suggestions on RUclips.
The 60s were such a time of massive societal upheaval, and if you go through the music you really can build a picture of the changing times. You have so many incredible songs to choose from, so just gorge. When you get to the psychedelic stage, I strongly encourage you to listen to "In a Gadda da Vida" by Iron Butterfly. It is a 17 minute masterpiece with amazing twists and turns that lead you inward on a haunting journey. There has never been a song like it.
Glad you found The Doors. 5 years of pure gold before Jim decided to check out. Like Floyd, Zeppelin and Queen, The Doors are their own genre. I'm getting in early and suggesting Peace Frog or When the Music is Over.
Love Street is my favorite Doors’ song. They’re an all American band. Lead singer, Jim Morrison, is an incredible poet. His nickname is The Lizard King.
@noradeclark9283 Hector is doing the sixties... so why the f... would I think the Doors were from the eighties... I was only born in 68, SO therefore, I got into the Doors in the 80's.... If you can teach me something about music you'd have to be Glenn A Baker
If you ever want to just smile, when you get to the 90’s, check out Weird Al Yankovich’s “Craigslist”. It is an original by Al, done in the style of The Doors and the keyboard on Al’s song is Ray, the keyboardist from The Doors. #hangovergang Forever 🤙🏽
Yay Ive been sending you Doors vibes ever since I first watched you -- I knew you would love them -- You got a lot of Doors yet to open Hector and now that youve opened the first door I cant wait till you open another --- and nope they are American and Jim Morrison is a poet -- They have so many songs I just love in their short career
The Doors have been my favorite band since 1971 ✌️🙂 Here are a few for you.... enjoy ! The End Hello i Love You Moonlight Drive Roadhouse Blues Riders on the Storm L.A Woman Touch Me Break on Through Five to One When the Music's Over Love Her Madly Light My Fire People are Strange The Crystal Ship These will get you started man.... I really love the channel and your enthusiasm 🙂🎸
Hector, there is a bunch of brilliant songs on The Doors debut album, called - funnily enough - THE DOORS. It's one of the best debut albums of all time.
She'll never wreck a scene" is the line. For the 60's, I would recommend Five to One, When the Music's Over, Spanish Caravan and Soul Kitchen, just to name 4. And their last two albums Morrison Hotel and LA Woman both out in the early 70's, they get down and dirty and bluesy, any song off these two albums would be awesome.
Roadhouse Blues is worth hearing from the many hits they have. I believe Morrison is in the 27 club meaning he's among the group of music artists that passed away at the young age of 27. Sad really. Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse are included in the group too!😔 RIP❤
definately blow my socks off back in 1968 too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whole album is a masterpiece... you are going to have to go on rehab if you review it all
You can't go wrong with the suggestions for other Doors songs in the comments. Their songs can become VERY adventurous. You may not be prepared for "The End" for example.
Mark.... I'm loving this week already.... As for where they come from.... Seriously Californai vibes man... Sadly not the UK... but we can let America have the odd one or two good ones from the Sixties...Keep on Rocking you groovy f..ker...!!
Truly enjoy checking out you reactions. Here is a suggestion that I am sure that you and your listeners will enjoy. The Father of Soul, whose voice greatly influenced R Kelly, Rod Stewart and Steve Perry (of Journey band), and many others. SAM COOKE " Somebody Ease My Troublin Mind "
Won't be any Rod Stewart o the channel. It was my dad's fav artist and he is a woman beating, child attacking piece of filth and I associate him with that music. You can blame him for that one....
Love Jim Morrison & The Doors, he was a sexy, beautiful, very handsome rocker! Women swooned over him 💓 More 60’s sounds Eric Burdon & The Animals ( later Eric B & War 1970), The Kinks, The Hollies, Dave Clark Five, The Chiffons, Ronnie Spector, Motown of course - Marvin & Tammy, so many sounds & you are discovering baby boomers music 🤣🤗💎🎸🥁🎹
Not a bad song on this album! Not British though...they're from California I believe. Jim Morrison was unfortunately another one that passed away way too young. RIP
Hello dear friend im a 62 and enjoying yr reaction to Floyd here goes one sugestion of a master piece (one at a time so you dont flip) from a band of progressive rock . Van Der Graf Generator live at rock palast , the song Undercover Man. Hope you enjoy.

5 to 1! Best ever
Riders on the Storm was the one sampled for Snoop Dogg on the original Need for Speed Underground. My fav Doors song hands down
My uncle gets laid to rest this week. He absolutely loved the 60s man! Thank you for a great tribute week for him Hector. Means alot.😢
You are most welcome and ill do my best to keep that 60s memory buzzing!

My Lord!!! You could spend a month on the Doors. Awesome American Rock/Blues/Soul/Psychedelic group from L.A.
I am going to lose weight watching The 60's music with you! I CANNOT keep my butt in the chair watching these songs!💃👯♂️🕺🎸👏👏👏
This is a good one, but obscure…
🔥🔥🔥RIDERS ON THE STORM 🔥🔥🔥will pop your gourd 👍👍👍👍

"Riders on the storm" is the one you need to hear. But don't listen to the song called "The End", I don't think you'll be able to handle it yet.

The Doors are a deep rabbit hole!
You have to do "The End", "LA Woman", "When The Music's Over" by The Doors.
All American, man. Jim Morrison's (the singer and writer) dad was a very higher-up military man, putting him and Jim at very serious odds.
Ditto:The Doors...Light My Fire, Riders on the Storm, LA Woman.. HELLO I LOVE YOU. BREAK ON THRU .love to see you try any of these next.

@noradeclark9283 Hector is doing the sixties... so why the f... would I think the Doors were from the eighties...
I was only born in 68, SO therefore, I got into the Doors in the 80's....
If you can teach me something about music you'd have to be Glenn A Baker
Next I recommend Don't You Love Her Madly, one of the catchiest songs with the most cynical lyrics ever. It's a trip!!
Welcome to the lyrics of the Poet Lizard King a.k.a. Jim Morrison
Now you have discovered a band that has been in the top bands for me for so many years. Bet you will like every one they do )
I love all the doors music. ❤
Road House Blues and L.A. Woman are great ; yes Doors are one of my favorite bands.

Grear reaction. You will never be the same after discovering and examining their catalog. Start with album 1 song 1 and go from there.
Oh were gonna have fun with this rabbit hole!
Very obscure choice Hector, but a cool tune I don't think i've heard this song in decades.
You don't need energy drinks or coffee when you have songs like Door's songs!
HAHAHAH! Fucking love watching you hearing stuff for the first time man, so good. Sorry watching and commenting at the same time
They are from Los Angeles. Speaking of which the 2 biggest hits from a ocean full of hits are LA Woman and Light my Fire
