I can never say best, but it’s up there with Lou Reed’s Velvet Underground line “A little wine in the morning, and some breakfast at night. And I’m beginning to see the light.”
The Doors, Ray Manzarek--keyboards, was in the Army Jazz band, Robby Krieger, an acoustic flamenco guitarists 6 months before the band started. John Densmore, a jazz drummer, and Jim Morrison, a Florida State and UCLA film school student with a wandering edge, and a poet's soul.
This was the music of my high school days, The Doors, The Beatles, Led Zepplein, AC/DC, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynrnd, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Queen, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple to name just a few!!
Your description of the smoky bar and the music just being right... That tells me you are ready for some more Bob Seger! The song, "Turn The Page" is particularly connected to that image, for me. It's about life on the road for a rock musician in the early '70s. It's bloody brilliant!
When we were in college in the late 70’s we would crank Roadhouse Blues every Saturday morning before we’d go league bowling. We didn’t screw around…. Love the reaction!
Just discovered your channel and love your energy!! The Doors are one of my favorite bands…and I wasn’t even alive when they were in their prime but God their music makes me smile man
I still remember the first time I heard this song it was 4 months ago. It was incredible. I never heard something like that in my life it was phenomenal...saludos desde 🇲🇽 Mexico
The Doors are in my top 5. I know everything about Jim Morrison but I am sure my fellow Doors fans have already informed you about this legend. He is so freaking sexy! My God I love him so much!! Thank you for playing him!
In fact, they started their careers in bars like the "London Fog" and "Whisky a Go Go Go" in Los Angeles. I recommend "Break On Through" and "When The Music's Over" to listen.
Don't let Columbo keep you from hearing Rush. They are one of the best bands ever musicianship is off the charts. Tom Sawyer is the song to begin that journey
The Doors…iconic psychedelic Rock band from the LA late 60’s scene. Jim Morrison is a member of the 27 club…..drugs and depression snuffed out his life. What a damn shame. Listen to Riders of the Storm….a dark, psychedelic mind trip. As we used to say back in the day…..it’s a trippy song…….takes you someplace in your head. Somewhat like Floyd…
Delighted you got to the doors and enjoyed them. A special band. Jim is buried in Paris, I've visited his grave a few times. It's been pretty much desecrated by so called fans. Anyway, good job Hector and thanks for your work 🙏🙏❤️
Dang Dang!! 🔥🤟🏼💪🏽😎 Fabuleus! This is a real headbanger, in a nice sweet and relaxed way. And Yes, an amazing voice! Thanks for the positive vibes, pouring out itself through that gitar, drums, piano and harmonica....and last but not least yourself 🙏✌🏽😎
Ahhhh I knew you would love the Doors Hector! --- They had TONS of great songs in their short existence -- That was one door you opened and I hope you want another soon -- Riders on the Storm -- or Break on Through to the Other Side -- Waiting for the Sun and When the Musics Over are personal favorites of mine but there are so many doors to open so many moods to visit -- Save The End for a wee bit -- you will be bombarded to react to it but wait just a bit until you hit existentialism vibe mode
So glad that you picked this one Hector, it's a good intro to The Doors who as Skip Frontz Jr. below commented below have created their own universe and it's outstanding. Try "L.A. Women" or "Riders On The Storm" to get the drift.
Take your time Bro,,,,you'll get there when you get there,,,,,but Rush is FANTASTIC. Working Man,, live in Cleveland is the best Rush on RUclips. Yes,,,,The Doors is BLUES,,,,💥💥💥👍 GREAT REACTION!!!!!
You must do more the doors man. Do LA Woman next, gonna blow your mind. Such a talented and definitely unique group. One of the best US bands ever, for sure. Jim morrison is such a Pop icon, damn
Jim Morrison is epic in his poetic scope, no doubt! Riders On The Storm is an obvious next selection from The Doors. In regards to the over zealous Rush fan....Please do not put this band to the bottom of the list. There really is a literal rabbit hole of music to explore with Rush, although I agree the fan base is quite forceful with their opinion. Not to say they are wrong, just excitable. One happy Canadian here hoping you get to experience one of my favourite bands.
Another great review! Love your energy and always loved Jim Morrison and the Doors! Gone way too soon! If I want to start my morning with a smile or laugh, you're my go to guy!! Even got my daughter hooked on your reactions! Always something to look forward to! BTW, if you're still looking for some great blues, check out some Buddy Guy! "What Kind of Woman is This" is a great one to start with!
If you are to tied to run, to tired to hide, you Break on through to the other side. Another great artist. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
i think you are happiest when it rocks man! i love to watch you when you ROCK cause you remind of me because i lived all this -i was a music addict from early 60's on....the beatles and stones etc from the START and all the evolution as it went love to LOVE TO SEE YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!
#HOG in the house. BrainSqueeze is the reactor of the normal, twisted music lovers. Haters....Go F### Yourself. I posted about 10 days ago you were at 31.1 subs....almost 35. Keep doing you...and Tom......haha. Love you. Best entertainment with good music going. Imagine if a bunch of us met up. Crazy time.
When I was 15 (back in 1990) there was a disco club here that was big and the biggest part was the "rock hall". THIS was one of the songs they played, together with others like La Grange (ZZ Top), Don't You (Simple Minds), Change (Killing Joke), The Jocker (Steve Miller Band)... Such good time man!!!
as with the best parts of the 'hippy' era, The Doors too were over when most were just hearing about them. by the time LSD was outlawed Jim had peaked and was conflicted about the impossibility of maintaining his image.
Did someone say RUSH! Oh fuck yes, i would stand on a ledge of a skyscraper if that’s what it takes to see your reaction to this three man Canadian rock legend. While we’re at it give these other Canadian bands a listen, BTO, April Wine, Triumph, and the very much overlooked Trooper, and if you have the balls 🙀 there is always Rough Trade and one of their hits High School Confidential. But first and foremost, give us some RUSH, give Canadian rockers some of that love ❤️ my brother.
There's an old Roadhouse that use to be a stagecoach stop about 5 miles from my house. Great place to hear music! Couple of drinks on Me if You make it to Los Angeles, CA.
The back of the Roadhouse they got some bungalows 🎶🎶 OMG The Doors....what a step back in time! When I was 16 I used to date this guy who wanted to be Jim Morrison so badly...he had same hair and would dress like him 🤣 oh the memories! 😊 Always love the Fu*k off when the song starts 🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh and The Doors used to be regulars at the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood...perfect analysis of a smoke filled bar 💯
@@brainsqueezereactions I'm not from the south, but those roadhouses are no more with the Bungalows. Morrison grew up in the South. A roadhouse perse would have been a bar way out in the middle of nowhere that maybe had a live band. It would have been the culture center of the people who lived in the area knew about.
So love brain squeeze reactions...which is why I don't want to be relegated to the bottom of your chair by wondering about your reaction to the status quo live Glasgow 1976 version...it doesn't matter...fucking love you anyway mate 😂🎉❤
Great reaction, Hector. But this was actually one of The Doors more "mainstream" songs. Dig deep, my friend. You won't be disappointed. May I suggest "The Soft Parade" or "When the Music's Over"? I'm not sure you're ready for "The End" just yet. But you're getting there. Keep up the good work. ROCK ON! 🤟 🖖 ✌️
I love your passion and vibe - soo positive. A real banger - one of the theme songs for the Summer of Love in 1967 - Light my Fire - real essence of the Band - make sure to get the long version not radio. Keep on Rockin’
LMFAO at the rant on the Rush fan. Truly, they are a great band. But one who doesn't understand you get bazillion requests...dude needs to grab a clue. But you will need to check them out. Incredible shit for 3 dudes.
Jim Morrison is underrated among the great songwriters when talking of people on the level of Bob Dylan and the like, but he has some great moments, "The future's uncertain and the end is always near...So let it roll, baby roll..." I don't think wiser words have ever been spoken...
Back in the day when this got put on in a bar, two things were guaranteed before the song ended: 1) someone was getting in a fight. 2) someone was getting laid, loudly, in the bathroom.
Top tier band , in my top 4 with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. Others may put them way down their list but always have a place in my heart. Highly recommended watching the movie with Val Kilmar too. Had to settle for the tribute band The Australian Doors who were brilliant recreating the sound of The Doors long after Jim Morrison left us . Cool reaction as always pal
Well, since I feel confident that Funkadelic - Maggot Brain must be somewhere on your list I think I will make a different request in order to seed your suggestion box with more of my picks. So this time let me request Yes - Starship Trooper. You should definitely check out Yes.

Best line in rock and roll:
“Woke up this morning and got myself a beer”
I can never say best, but it’s up there with Lou Reed’s Velvet Underground line “A little wine in the morning, and some breakfast at night. And I’m beginning to see the light.”
The Doors, Ray Manzarek--keyboards, was in the Army Jazz band, Robby Krieger, an acoustic flamenco guitarists 6 months before the band started. John Densmore, a jazz drummer, and Jim Morrison, a Florida State and UCLA film school student with a wandering edge, and a poet's soul.
Remember this masterpiece was created by 3 maestros. “So I like the doors.” Indeed.
The Doors are just like Floyd when it comes to making their own universe. Very cool!!
This was the music of my high school days, The Doors, The Beatles, Led Zepplein, AC/DC, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynrnd, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Queen, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple to name just a few!!
The Doors are an amazing experience, enjoy the rabbit hole. LA Woman, Peace Frog, Break on Through (to the other side) plus many more are all amazing.

The best rock voice ever…
"The future's uncertain and the end is always near." Truth. You would like their song "Break on Through."
Yay, The Doors!!! When the Music's Over and L.A. Woman are both amazing. ✌🏽

Jeff Healey & his band play this song and others in the movie....
Road House (1989 )

In the 80's I became obsessed with the Doors and Jim Morrison...
I was annoyed they didn't get me to play Jim in the movie lol
