- "Get Ready" is a Motown song written by Smokey Robinson, which resulted in two hit records for the label: a U.S. No. 29 version by The Temptations in 1966, and a U.S. No. 4 version by Rare Earth in 1970. Eins der besten Lieder der Musikgeschichte. Von Vollblutmusikern gespielt . Ohne Computer und Lichtshow . Einfach nur Musik

How can one get tired of music that only sounds better & better with time, like fine wine. This is NOT an opinion, it's a FACT..
@Mr-Woo. Yes, it's your OPINION. Stop telling everyone what music they should like. No-one has heard of this band.
@@paulchristie3306
If no one's ever heard of this band, why are there over 600K views, huh?? Doesn't look like nobody to me!! And what were YOU doing here, then?? I'm not telling ANYBODY what music to like. Everyone decides that for themselves, obviously. You must be yet another lame. There's sooo many of u guys..

Magistrale
63 now. Bought the live double album when it came out. Yeah the knapsack cover. Still got it with plastic cover. Best music came out in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. Glad to have grown up in that era., when the music was real and your spirit was free loving. From pmburg, south Africa. The best years of our lives ❤️😊

A mis 70 años, sigo considerando esta rola como un monumento; la bailábamos hasta terminar empapados de sudor… también se baila lento. El solo de bajo😁…

Absolutely Top Class Band in 1969.
Why can't music today be more like this? This took me back to my childhood!! Love it :)
Alles hat seine Zeit
Porqué? Bueno hoy la música no existe
Because today they use computer and not Heart
It's no longer the same mindset as we had in the 60s & early 70s, not that we don't have some fine players out there these days , you just have to search for them & like the old days get turned on to bands & players from friends as you just won't hear this music in full on any radio station even the ones you have to pay for. As a long time guitar player i would like to share a track i did back in my school days but didn't get to record it till 87 & on a 4 track Reel to Reel . Please give a listen if you would & feel free to leave me a comment . I have that old mindset still. ROCK ON !!!! ruclips.net/video/RHj04fFTrZI/видео.html

Rare Earth, Rare Music, Rare Talent, Rare Creative Sound from Motown. Great Music.
Am 41. Heard this for the 1st time through my mum. Blows my head off. Brilliant. Never heard such a great performance.
An influential song at the time. Rare Earth stayed true to their name.
A masterpiece version of this Smokey Robinson tune. Rare Earth were a great band by then.
No way, it is what it is . Could anything be better than those years? No. Real talent , real voice real music. I'm 62 and I will never ever listen to anything from today's.

Raw talent. Some of the best smokin’ music ever.
This is the music you listen to at 3 a.m. when you can't sleep.
Had the pleasure of seeing this great band twice. They were opening for Three Dog Night, it should have been the other way around.
Excellent performance, Excellent arrangement, Excellent band
I saw them play this song back in 1970, "Winter Pop" in Toronto, Canada. What a great rendition of a great tune.
Oh Wow!! You were so lucky to see them live! 🎉
It was a great evening, they had a nice rapport with the crowd. Very cool.@@KittyGrizGriz

My first big rock show. Blew me away. That is music!
Me too! Oakland Coliseum 1972. Was 16. Earth, Wind & Fire opened for them.
@@roncardenas2963I absolutely love EW&F band too, lucky you. Saw them open for Van Halen and they blew them off the stage!
A very underrated band and almost forgotten today.I still love their music since I grew up listening to them on the radio.Always loved this song.
Best concert I have ever attended while living in Las Vegas.
Danced to this song with a pretty 14 yr old, i was 16 . Good times . The studio version.
Inoubliable.........
An all time favorite. I can't get enough of it since I first heard it some 50 years ago. And this particular video sounds so good for such an old recording.
Not just this song....the full album is fantastic. Love it.
I wonder how many times I have listened to this since I bought the album when I was 16😊😊
Amazing!!! Greatest Song every time!!! 👌👍

The key boards are so awesome
Rear Earth..... you healing hearts since 1969.
Está canción allá por los 70 ya rompía. 20 minutos. La cabeza no sabía si era mia o la de la piba. Entre la mucica mesclada con otros condimentos. Era fast.
Why aren't these guys in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
They didn't stick around too long
@@cosmo1eleven855 Are you kidding? This band has been playing up until 2022 when the last original member passed. They released a new album back in 2006. They are in the Michigan r & R legends hall of fame as they were from Michigan.
@@curtzeek8818 ...what I meant was they didn't have many top selling albums early on.
Tocan muy bien pero sus ventas en discos ellos los compraron, ha si que no vendían sus grabaciones.
@@cosmo1eleven855 they made great music tho. If you were a fan back then you followed their career. I did the same with other bands. I followed Savoy Brown until Kim Simmonds passed. Until then tho, they were the longest running blues band in the world. I did the same with Canned Heat but that was a very tragic story. It's all good tho.
Sounds great doing my laundry and having few beers!!😂
Meus amigos eu abri uma garrafa de whisky e estava procurando uma música no RUclips e me deparei com essa pérola que eu não conhecia e olha que eu nasci 8 anos antes de eles lançarem essa maravilha de música.
Demais, demais estou extasiado. Até o whisky desceu melhor.😂
Brother and were In Reno in the early 80's for the air races. Walked into a casino and look whos playing at the night club! These guys were much better then what they get credit for! Excellent show!
In Nevada, but not Vegas 👋
A very strong, complex and cruel version of the Smokey Robinson´s classic. GREAT !!
A lingering trip to heaven, full of southern rhythms and desperate blues.
Welcome to the poetic worlds of both Lord Byron and Oscar Wilde: we are all in the gutter, but Rare Earth shows us how to look at the stars.
The wonders of beautiful well composed song.
Excelente maravillosa paradisíaca metales cuerdas percucion voces nostálgica música gracias gattasco saludos!
REAL MASTERPIECE. 🎶🎵 👏👏👏
Listening to this, I think the song will never ends
In those times a song could last for years. I remember dancing to that in 1973/74, along with "Going home" from Ten Years After or Papa Was a Rolling Stone by the Temptations. Going Home was sports training and this one set me in trance - somehow ;-)
I call this my Duluth music as I was on the USS Duluth LPD-6 getting shot at in Viet-Nam in '71 and '72. Takes me right back then.
Thanks bro👍
(Sorry for your bad memories!)😥
That is one group I never saw in person I just regret that. Good psychedelic tripping music
We, (me and my brother) saw them in 1994 or was it 2004?
Me either, big regret; I’d have been dancing in the aisles haha!
