    It's not equivalent to a .22 rimfire with a round in the chamber if you just leave the chamber empty. You can easily unload the magazine in a Huben. Just push the pellets out. Yes, it can still go off then which is indeed undesirable but there's not always a round in the chamber just because it's a Huben. If you're done shooting and there are pellets left, just unload them.

    Very impressive for an airgun. 80 lbs is nuts. I think it will only get better. That said, proud of the objective review you did and more about the safety warning with respect to kids. Good job my friend. Jim

    Got the 2021 version and the barrel used in it now works 100% with diabolos and it seems to like the 34gr Javelin slug in .218 caliber as well, I need to test more but it looks promising that it can be both a super accurate pellet gun and still a decent slug gun at the same time. Been wanting one ever since I saw this review and now I finally had some money to buy "unneccesary" stuff with so I got one :-)

      Nice I still want one but I am still settling on my powder gun setup before any potential bans. Good to hear updates from customers who are on the V2 though. I am also looking at the AEA HP BULLPUP SEMI-AUTO .25 as a affordable option even though the Huben is clearly the better gun. Its just so modular and versatile in the 8-80ftlb's adjustability. I also just like new technology and the K1 is all those things. I need all the air rifles to slaughter the squirrels on my land. We have been in a year long war with 20 down and at least six more to go. They destroyed my house...and my sanity....lol Right now I use a 22LR specifically sighted and designed to run sub sonic rounds. Ammo is just hard to find and when I do its very expensive. That is the downside to having a dedicated platform for a specific ammo type in a caliber. We already have the high pressure compressor and now we just need to stack in the air rifles. Cheers

    For me the pros far outweigh the cons. I would really have to be behind the rifle for at least a month to give a better opinion but with your review I'm pretty stoked about this rifle. And I'm also sure in these early stages they're testing the waters. They've come up with a game-changing idea. Now they just have to fine-tune it.

    The two valves used to accomplish this feat is clever and can only work if it's primary chamber is pressurized, closing the main valve. So no, it cannot be de-cocked pr.ce. However if they added a pre-chamber that could be locked, then you could fire one shot, releasing the primary chamber and the gun would be essentially de-cocked. Also there is no real reason you couldn't have a detachable magazine either, other than assembly engineering. (valve is locked) Very clever design though, I like where they are going with it.

    Like I need one.. Just recently been learning that "pellets" function best within a limited range of power, an begin to destabilize around 900+ fps.
    Which makes sense why not of these pcp rifles are tuned to around 875 etc.. An that slugs function better in the highest power range.
    If he was shooting at 1010 fps, on the power wheels "level 2" setting, this thing definitely gets up there. An could shoot pellets well in level 1 or 2, however anything above is meant for slugs.
    Feel like my next purchase may have to be either this gun or one of the fully automatic pellet rifles lol..

    The fact that you cannot decock this airgun and only put it on safe is not necessarily a bad thing. A good example would be the AR15 which you cannot put it on safe without the internal Hammer being cocked and if you're intending on using it, you have a round in the chamber.

    If only they could team up with fx, weihrauch or Steyr and make this rock solid in reliability. Still got to respect the creativity involved. Am I right in thinking this is the only model Huben make ? I know there have been a few versions but for such a young company starting out with this is pretty impressive.

    Guns should always be treated as if they are loaded and not pointed at anything that you do not want to kill. The K1 magazine and safety is not different than any other gun. It should be kept on safe and your finger should be along the frame away from the trigger until you are ready to shoot. If you are storing the K1 the pellets should be shot or removed from the magazine. If you are storing it loaded, it should be on safe and locked in a safe as you would any other gun. Training and safety discipline is the key. A person without the maturity level to grasp these concepts should not have a gun of any sort that shoots a projectile. The literature should be read and understood before attempting to use any gun, because a single accident it too many and impacts all of us. Speak up if you see a safety problem or have a safer way of doing things.
    It is regrettable that Matt chose to praise the innovation and leap forward that the Huben K1 represents, but condemn the fixed magazine needed for the large capacity hammer-less firing system. I hope he realizes that this issue is easily overcome with proper training and discipline in the use of the K1.

    Hi Matt,
    Thanks for a great review. On the safety issue, I own one of these fantastic airguns and find it easy to rotate the rotary magazine to an empty chamber, also one can simply empty a few chambers of the magazine if you have to, and position the empty chamber in line with the barrel. It should be treated like any weapon.... Loaded and dangerous. I would like to get my hands on some of the Huben slugs you mentioned. Where can I get them?

    Nice airgun! But for me when you get into the pcp guns with over 60 ft lb, i like my CZ 455 .22 Lr with suppressor just as much. I also believe the pellets need more engineering to make them better. Also i liked your video on the FX Stremeline in .22 so much i bought one and am putting a SWFA 16x42 on it. I bought the fx suppressor as well.

    I have been waiting for a company to build an AG around a bullet, so tired of horrible bc of pellets. If companies were smart they would offer guns with barrel options for both! :) With the questions around tightening up the design and minor flaws I will hold off on this one until all is sorted out but they have something here for sure! I know the smooth twist X is working towards a more bullet friendly barrel liner but have not seen it proven. Great vid Matt, thanks!

    Hamerless system sounds valuable. However, at 80 ft lbs, it seems that a rimfire rifle of equal price would be a better deal since we're no longer preserving the safety profile of diabolo pellets.

    • @rolandcolavizza5368
      @rolandcolavizza5368 6 лет назад

      I think air is better . you can shoot longer without barrel fowling and worrying about barrel expansion as it heats up and slightly cheaper .oh and were i live no license required

    • @JustinSokolow
      @JustinSokolow 6 лет назад

      You hit on a very good point- which is government regulation. This air rifle, having the equivalent ballistics to a subsonic 22 rimfire, might invite greater government restrictions on ALL air rifles. The general public doesn't understand that air rifles firing diabolo pellets are intrinsically safer than firearms of equivalent calibers.

    Any updates on this beast? I truly wish they would develop this design further, maybe a scaled down, tactical version, because the stock is hideous.

    As a safety measure because of not being able to decauk it . Option make sure it's always empty when not in use . Or maybe a locked trigger? I understand it's not your FX GUN an yes your always honest but like how persistent on it says a lot .. in all fairness it's probably 1/3 the cost of your FX GUNS ?

      YES! The .22 Gamo Whisper G2 .22 cal can take small hogs at 25 yards with 21 ft/lbs. This gun has 80 ft/lbs, i'm sure it can take a deer at 50 yards.

      A air gun with half the power of that would be plenty to take out aany small game,,there are videos on here with a Hatsan bullboss with 42 ft lb taking wild hog out in texas.

    Thank you for your input, great video and right on target.
    I have had my Huben K-1 for two years now and I can tell you I had problems with air leaking , miss fires and back then getting it
    repaired did not go well. My gun went to two different dealers in the USA, as per Huben and still could not be fixed.
    I have learned how to disassemble 100% of this gun, what a learning curve. I even had to send internal parts to another country.
    Well Huben worked with me the whole time trying to fix my problems.
    Now.... I have gun GREAT shooting gun and I am very happy....as you say " It should not be your first gun"...how true.review
    Again thank for the honest and thorough review....Take care, Robert
    PS- Gregor, ....this guy knows almost everything about this gun. He has several YOUTube Videos, look him up.
