UM vs. OSU 2022 OSU gave up passing plays of 69, 75, 45 and 2 running plays over 75 yards. Probably had nothing to do with knowing exactly what defense was being played. Post game article. "McCarthy averaged just 177.4 passing yards per contest through his first 11 games this season. The Michigan pass attack ranked 99th in the country, and the Buckeyes possessed the No. 11 passing defense entering the weekend. McCarthy hadn’t cracked 200 yards in four of his last five games before Ohio State. The Buckeye secondary didn’t just give up big plays. It had major miscues, breakdowns and blunders that left pass catchers without a defender within five yards of them on multiple occasions, resulting in game-wrecking plays and momentum-shifting moments all too often."
“Dez” is asking why everyone is quick to judge Meechigan. Yet, a few years ago Nebraska wanted to play football during Covid and he was wanting them kicked out of the Big 10. Whatta dolt. No wonder he isn’t taken seriously.

Great. So if we lose to Ohio State we can drop this case because we weren’t cheating? Because surely if we knew all their plays it’s an automatic win right? Bs
Yea. I think they are very good team. But one must wonder what these scores would of been like without the cheating. A few people who have played against them said they were scratching their heads after some plays. Almost like Michigan knew exactly what was coming. Trying to decipher one’s plays during a game and sending people to scout and record are 2 completely different things.

Everyone is out for themselves and will do whatever they believe may be to their benefit. What they are more likely doing is pulling their own sign stealing guys from the road.
Imagine if this was Ohio state. They would already be forced to vacate every win over the last two years and would have to forfeit all remaining games for the rest of the season. Followed by a Day suspension of one year. A bowl ban for 3 years and millions in fines. I mean look how harsh they were on them for players selling their own memorabilia. Sure Tress lied at first. But Jimbo has already lied about the previous problems at start season. Suspended for 3 meaningless games that Charlie Brown could of coached against. So everyone pretend this is Ohio state and not Michigan
I'm sorry, how many wins did Ohio State have to vacate for a proven pay to play scandal? I'll accept the exact same amount for Michigan doing EXACTLY what every program in college football is doing, substantially better than every program in college football. How many games was that again? Oh ya'.... ZERO.

We now must wait for the details, clarity, and potential consequences. No need to blame anyone but Michigan personnel who have potentially robbed players, fans, and other stakeholders. If your UM this is tragic. Just feel the pain, pray, meditate, exercise, go to a spa, attend a support group, have a glass of wine, drink a beer or two, eat a brownie, go shopping, and/or get some acceptance that some folks have let many people down. The unintended consequences will be felt for a VERY long time. 🅾️🙌🏽🙏🏽🅾️
Nothing's been exposed. The court of public opinion does not determine whether someone is guilty or innocent (even with a jury of your peers you still have to SEE the evidence and hear the testimonies). If the evidence was so damning the NCAA would have already given notice of investigation to the university, which it hasn't. Innocent until proven guilty apparently doesn't exist here anymore.
Based on how those games went, it didn't seem like that was the reason. JJ threw 2 pick 6's against TCU and Michigan had a rightful TD that wasn't called properly (and I hate michigan btw so that's not a biased take). They also clearly overlooked TCU and weren't prepared for the moment. Against Georgia, they were just clearly outmatched by entire defense that was drafted into the NFL playing against guys like Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and the rest of them

Actually, no. If anything, the question is why he didn't ask questions when it became apparent that Stalions was so good at sign stealing. But here's the rub the media is ignoring -- what rule was violated and how? I know which rule is being implicated and the way I read it, the rule has not been broken.
You're not allowed to advance to another teams game and record all the signals. If you find sign stealing not against the rules, it's because it will obv happen just observing the other team to a small degree. But consider it this way, someone good at math. A casino might not be able to ban you for being able to card count a little in your head. But now try pulling out a machine to card count...
One question for you, OSU coaches have stated that OSU changed their signs before The Game last year... where's the "pre-game sign stealing advantage"? UM still thumped them 45-23.
But remember, changing the signs that late is still taking a lot of time out of 20 hour week cap on training when you should be able to just be preparing your last week vs the big rival, like what all the Michigan players were just able to do normally, not having to get players all used to a new system. The advantage is still Michigan's last year. The advantage this year is Ohio State knew this much further ahead of time. And even still, the pictures were of Connor on the sideline last year even late, so clearly the rushed changes weren't completely good enough.
What if they knew where all the " Insight " was coming from ? Bet there were some kids with mixed feelings...but not from the guys trying to get to the NFL
I think the Michigan players knew to some extent what was going on. When they interviewed Aiden Hutchinson, it seemed as if he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, meaning our secret got out. Just my take
Before the rule was imposed banning advance live scouting, all teams utilized advance scouting, if they could afford the expense. It's not as if teams go into games without knowledge of their upcoming oppenent's signs. They watch video. They watch games on TV. They know the offensive and defensive tendencies of their upcoming opponent, and plan accordingly when the same situation arises. It is certainly not an "unprecedented" situation. I don't think anybody can quantify the impact advance live scouting actually might have had in any given game, which makes fashioning an appropriate penalty extremely difficult. The rule was put in place for financial reasons as a cost-saver for smaller schools, which to me indicates that advance scouting wasn't really a cost-effective edge creator for people seeking to obtain whatever slight edge they can get. Nobody can prove that Michigan won a single game they would otherwise have lost absent the advance live scouting. The best outcome in my mind is that Michigan be fined millions and the fine get used to financially assist the smaller programs with the cost of radio equipment for QB helmets. The idea they should have to forfeit victories or be banned from this years playoffs is absurd.
Hairball was in a tough position. He was close to being fired. If it was, that's a violation (and I think that it probably was). Now please explain how THAT gave Michigan some great advantage or why it is anything more than a minor violation (by the NCAA rules it is categorized as a minor violation). UM vs. OSU 2022
OSU gave up passing plays of 69, 75, 45 and 2 running plays over 75 yards.

Schedules aside, it'll all come out in the wash. Michigan might have 90% of their starters drafted which is astounding.
However I think they will get the death sentence, an Harbough will go to the NFL with little personal punishment.

@@teekay_1It’s not the only reason they are winning. Nobody is saying it is THE reason they are winning. It is an additional and unfair advantage that is explicitly prohibited within the organization’s by laws. It gives a large swath of advantage depending on play, accuracy, situation, etc. The point is that it erodes and eviscerates the integrity of the play. It can impact a certain play or game greatly or little at all. If you utilized correctly and accurately and with great refinement it can give tremendous advantage, especially in like matchups.

How about finishing the investigation?
Not sure why going to games and looking at signs is a violation at all. And you think it's only Michigan doing this? Please.
Coaches are whiny b's.
One question for you, OSU coaches have stated that OSU changed their signs before The Game last year... where's the "pre-game sign stealing advantage"? UM still thumped them 45-23.
Imagine defending cheating.
@andrewcampbell336 imagine, imagining cheating with no proof just rumors...
Michigan is the Houston Astros of college football. The Michigan homers only defense is to claim that everyone cheats. Weak.

All games since 2020! This guy is repulsive!
Because if you had, you would know that the only possible violation is if the person in the photo on the CMU sideline was Conor Stalions. If it was, that's a violation (and I think that it probably was). Now please explain how THAT gave Michigan some great advantage or why it is anything more than a minor violation (by the NCAA rules it is categorized as a minor violation).
Other than that, the NCAA has nothing. No violation of any rule, nada, which explains why the NCAA still has not issued a notice of allegations to Michigan, and which is what typically happens BEFORE the story hits the media. Ever here about the NCAA providing reports in a drip, drip, drip manner BEFORE issuing a notice of violations? Neither have I. Unless an insider with an ax to grind is feeding reporters. That's the first clue that this is a hit job and soon it will be revealed that parties who have it out for Harbaugh and Michigan were behind it (hint, a former EMU trustee as well as an Ohio State connection). The media has been incredibly irresponsible with this story, but I am smart enough to know that the truth does not matter at this point. Mission accomplished by those who wanted people like you to come to the conclusions that you have come to. Of course they want action, michigan is the standard of the big ten right now
So a source told pete who wasnt on call all the info...so he means a coach gave him info
Regardless if this is all true or not, this is a distraction for 20-21 year olds. When they do play someone, I won’t be shocked if they get upset.
Jimmy Cheat is DONE
Penalties imposed a year from now ain't gonna cut it with the coaches or fans. Suspend the program for two weeks. Don't bother taking away victories, games fan know the outcomes. What's the CFP committee going to do with a couple forfeits?
Why should Michigan be punished when it didn't break a rule?
Scouting off campus and recording it is breaking the rules.
@@CindyFagerstrom-d2t No it's not breaking the rules!!! It's only breaking the rules if an "institutional staff member" does it. So, unless Stalions was on at the games himself, he can gather video recordings from anyone he wants the RULE WAS NOT BROKEN! It doesn't matter how you feel about him doing that. All that matters is the letter of the rule was not broken!
@@DualThreat1 DUDE these Are Buckeye fans. They don't care about the rule, they just want to avoid another smack down from Michigan again. whatever you think the "cheating" helped, it's a non-factor now. Yet they want a punishment NOW because it's their best chance. Instead of earning a title by beating the best, they would happily take a forfeit. This is whey EVERYONE sees OSU as weak. Its a mentality... a desire to be gifted success instead of earning it. You would think if they really believed this cheating nonsense they would be chomping at the bit to now prove to the world Michigan is a fraud by coming into Ann Arbor and dismantling them. But nope. They are running to the B1G demanding they make it so they can avoid that game. SOFT. WEAK. PATHETIC.
Stallion's has been around the program since at least Devin Gardner. He was friends with Frank Clark. Devin says he was at every home and away game way before 2018.
He seems to be a very strange guy who was trying to improve his profile with the coaches by creating the appearance that he is a sign stealing savant. And he apparently did that by sending people to games to record sidelines that he could review, decipher and look like a genius.
But, here's the thing -- take a look at the rule that is at issue in this matter. Despite all of the "facts" that are publicly known, nobody can point to which part of the rule was violated. Because when applying the known "facts" to a plain reading of the rule, we learn that there has been no violation. At least not based on what we know now. This is why those who want to get Harbaugh put the story out even before the NCAA got into their investigation. This is like the Jeff Bridges film Arlington Road, where his character studied terrorism plots and he suspected his neighbors of terrorism, they committed an act and manipulated the facts so that in the end, the Bridges character was held responsible when it was the neighbors all along. This is a hit job, nothing more and nothing less and both the media and most fans have allowed themselves to be manipulated.
@gmh471 The "deal" that will be made is Jim you're leaving or we will destroy the program as long as you are here. He will go somewhere else to protect the program and the media will never talk again about it again. Then Michigan will be ranked #1 as soon as Harbaugh is gone.
@@jonnybgood5764 They're supposed to extend Jim's contract next week, I highly doubt they're going to extend it and then tell him to go get lost.
@williamwagner79 I hope they do! but this media game is just outrageous. Like Cowherd has always said: Very few get info and it only gets out if "they" want it too.
@@jonnybgood5764 I don't know if you just read it but Michigan is launching an investigation into Ryan days brother, because the information that was obtained was obtained illegally or at least that's the claim, according to Skip Bayless.
No games this year are tainted. Only one team huddled and thet had a brand new OC this year. No scouting signs held any game this year. This is all cry baby garbage.
Sore losers is what it is
Not at all, it turns out!
Don't be angry at Harbaugh, be angry at The Big Ten for doing nothing to this point.
Like I been saying. They need to pretend this was osu and then decide. The axeman would cometh for sure then
No, bullshit!!!! WE can be mad at Harbough for this disgusting cheating and his arrogant and blatant way he kept doing it!!!!!!!!! Pathetic, why is he not fired and their whole frickin staff!!!!
If its true he cheated and he has a record of doing so, no team either NFL or college should hire him.
Flipping crybabies, tainted? Whatever. They are just mad they got beat down by Michigan
Who or what entity was paying for the guy's hotels, rent-a-cars, meals per diem, thousands of dollars in game tickets, fuel, parking and airlines to spy all over the country? Let alone his salary to pay rent and retire on over-the-table MI salary, etc. His spying as efficiently as he was doing it would have been very expensive. That means some entity or interest had a budget and a schedule for him. Who trained him to spy for them? He pretty much had to have had a benefactor(s), travel agency, salary, support group unless he is insane,...and electronic recorders. This was no one or two-person job. If it were laid out on paper as a tree, Harbaugh's in there fully aware of everything even more than his spies. Yes, I said it. Spies plural. The Michigan scandal is not just dirt under their fingernails. It is an institutional disgrace to an otherwise mostly decent struggling tiny scroungy town with now damaged real estate values. Who's going to want to buy tickets to an MI game with crooks on board? I'll buy MI tickets for $2 ea at the gate now. Lastly, he was a legal taxpayer on Harbaugh's staff. Harbaugh can't distance himself from that and the next question for Harbaugh is what services were so valuable to him or the team? Exactly what services. Could the University of Michigan itself been the only organization with large enough STAFF and deep Ann Arbor pockets to pay for all of that? No, that would be a carmel corn ball for the FBI and IRS. $BILLIONS. And wasn't he missed from staff when he'd go off on his jaunts? Guess not.
Very angry and they are!!!
Once again we are asking all the wrong questions. The question should be when will the NCAA end the the madness and allow helmet radios. Probably as long as it took them to come around on the cream cheese thing.
Michigan is probably gonna lose 2 of their last 3 games which will be a good thing fot college football. Nobody wants to have sit and watch them get boat raced again in the playoffs.
So, all these coaches don’t believe in investigating. What happens if they take action and it turns out to not be the case?
bro we have video of him on the side line pretending to be a central michigan coach.
@@JFTB-i8y he was clearly acting alone to advance his own career, and they already suspended him
@@luciaes lol. If thats true i have a bridge to sell you. But either way even if it is youre responsible for what happens in your program anyways.
@@JFTB-i8y Question.. how are you sure that's him? Where did you get the definite confirmation? Because none of that 'evidence' .. matter of fact.. NO evidence of anything has been released. There was no ticket left for him. He wasn't on any guest list. Please.. enlighten us..
@@JFTB-i8ydoesn’t matter if he did it on his own, it’s clearly stated in the rules that head coaches must know everything that’s going on, even if Jim so how didn’t know, he will still be in trouble
Salty ohio fans lol... Holier than thou yet their school pays kids to go to ohio. Wanna talk about competitive advantage.
So many mixed messages on this. I heard Brady Quinn emphasize that a lot of schools are doing this
Brady Quinn was wrong. Brady Quinn's paycheck comes from a Michigan grad. He knows how to brown nose like many other professionals.
If Michigan loses any of the next 4 games and the B1G Title game, then you know sign stealing played a significant role in their recent success. If they win out and win the Big 10 AFTER they've been figured out, then you know that sign stealing had no effect on their past success.
then why do it? it's to get an unfair advantage. results of the games don't matter. the rules don't say 'this is illegal only if you win the game.'
@@clintscroggs65, literally no one is saying it's not an advantage. The advantage is minimal. So little, that the NCAA considered getting rid of the rule in 2021. Advanced scouting wasn't even made a rule because of cheating. It's a cost saving measure for smaller schools. As far as the no recording, some lawyers believe the language is so grey, that the rule is talking about the opponent you face IN GAME, and has nothing to do with people filming a team 3 weeks before you play them. And, that this rule was ALSO implemented YEARS ago because smaller teams didn't have the same capabilities as larger ones. Again, NOT implemented to curb sign stealing.
Do you even watch football? Michigan has been winning because they have better players and better schemes than their opponents. That's all. Another person who knows nothing about the game.
@@clintscroggs65 Point out the rule that has been broken and provide facts in support. Specifics required. Go.
Only since 1972. They do have better players than most, which makes their staff and supporters even more idiotic for somehow believing they had to cheat to win. Stealing signs from Rutgers? That must mean they didn't think they were good enough to win straight up. Idiots. @@gmh471
Do you really believe a sophisticated program like M would need video shot with an I-phone from the cheap seats to prepare for these lame opponents? Just try using your head.

i hope michigan wins out and leaves the big ten. this conference is pathetic. considering all the horrible scandals the past ten years from these universities. michigan will do just fine independent if they wanted. the big ten will lose a fortune. go blue!
oh for fucks sake, every NFL player coach and player that ive seen asked this question has said... Yeah? and? we all do it, so what?
I think the rule is multiple people paid, taking a plane, hotel room, press box scouting was eliminated for cost not cheating. And individual driving to a game, scouting publicly available information, what is to get angry about, the guy who did it showed initiative and he should not be canceled. Everyone is angry because they now have to use wrist plans and numbers, does Michigan sit around with a bunch a public signs or do they use a wrist bands?
I love those big signs....run the Taco Bell Taylor Swift Kim Kardashian Nike swoosh pass. 😅😂
You can’t do it. Against the rules bro
It depends if i were doing the same thing
