This is crazy. I grew up in Tipton County just south of Kokomo Indiana. I had several scooters and mini bikes as a kid. My first real bike was a Honda CB 750 when I was 14 yrs old. I remember blasting past my Grandparents house at over 80mph on a dirt road with 2 of my smaller cousins on the back of the seat. Lost my bike privileges for the rest of the summer...lol Anyway I have lived in Michigan about 45 minutes south east of Muskegon for almost 25 years now. Love it here, but still enough corn fields to make me feel like back home. I've had a couple bikes , but last summer I got my first Harley. I still have only gone 350 miles on any one trip. Now that's one mean looking scary motorcycle gang. Mid 60's started with a cub 50 then 75, 90, on up to a 350 which I thought was the best one of ll. In 72 after returning from sunny southeast Asia I had a BMW for the toad, A Yamaha for the dirt and a CB350 for daily use. A guy owed me a few bucks and gave me a ratty 350. Had not been maintained at all. I tightened the oil filler cap with a pipe wrench so it couldn't be easily opened. It was my loaner bike with the condition the only thing that could be done was adjust the brakes, air the tires and put gas in it. Needless to say the bike got a lot of usage. After many months of this abuse i decided to see how it was doing. Chain had no rollers left, front sprocket had 2 1/2 teeth and the rear almost none at all. Broke open the oil cap and drained and maybe a few tablespoon of oil left in it. Corrected problems and one of the guys that had borrowed it bought for more than I had in it and rode it for quite a long time after that. That bike was bulletproof.
