Hi there, very sorry for the delay, I’ve not logged on for a while. Thanks for your comment, it is very much appreciated. I hope the journey goes well and please just let me know if you have any other questions!
These are all excellent drills. For Step #4 I have a balance cushion under my board and I have 3 lb dumbells in my Hands. This gives me a bit of a Workout while forcing me to maintain good posture during my Pumping motion. Great video! Keep the Tips coming
Thanks for the comment, it is much appreciated 👍 that's a great idea to assist with the technique while helping out with the fitness, I'll definitely try that! Thanks again 👍🤙
Thanks for the kind message and much appreciated. I have a few other videos on dock starting which may help. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions, happy to help. Cheers
No problems at all. I hope the videos help. Just give me a shout if you have any questions etc. Hahaha the walk with the ladder along the beach never gets old, people always stare. It also draws in a small crowd during the day which is always funny. Good luck it with mate 👍🤙
Great video. Going to practice the jump up drill lots. Still very inconsistent getting off the dock. Have a new Axis 1150 kit coming this week so hoping that will help too. Thanks for all the great tips and videos.
Thanks for your comment and no problem at all. Yes the take off drill onto the box really dialled in the muscle memory for me. I hope it helps! Thanks again 🤙👍
Great video Ian! And thanks for inspiration during winter. I want to get into prone foiling as well, just SUP foiling at the moment. How high did you put the board in exercise 3? About mast hight?
No problem at all and thank you very much for your message, it's much appreciated! The dock starting really helps with prone foiling and it's a great way to get tuned into using a smaller board. Yes for exercise 3 I managed to use a box to jump on that was just lower then my mast height of 75cm. If you can find anything that is just sightly lower then mast height that will be ideal to replicate the take off and jump up onto the board. I hope this helps and please just message if you have any further questions. Thanks 👍🤙
Thanks again, try to find a box or platform that is roughly the same height as the mast you will be using. I dock start on a 75cm mast so any platforms near this height or slightly lower will be great practice to represent the height of the take off onto the board 👍
@@mulhauserthomas1325 no problem at all. If you are struggling with the height then maybe start at a lower height and gradually build up to higher platforms. Good luck and just let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks 👍🤙
Amazing advice, really help my journey to learn dock start!

What size front foil do you use?
Thanks for your message. I'm usually on the Axis 1150 PNG when it's flat water but if there's some swell I'll use the Axis 910 PNG 👍
Nice drills - how high need the box bev?
