In 2-2 there is a secret room down a whirlpool. To tell which one it is, look at the one that has a submerged cement frame around it. It will be on the left of one of the corners and there are many coins there
So each of the 6 worlds have at least 1 hidden room then 3 HAL rooms, Blizzard Bridges hidden harder miniboss rush, and the hidden hotel area in the Wastes Where Life Began
something fairly notable is Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams can be shortened to the roman numeral II, making it NEW WORLD II edit: additionally, for anyone reading in the future that needs additional clarification, the extended name being NEW WORLD II is due to the fact that isolated isles is a sequel to the main story yes this edit was worth losing the heart on my comment, I care more about adding clarification for anyone that happens to read the comment over keeping the heart, as nice as having it is
You also forgot that the cutscene mentioning ID-F86 in the elevator says: "30 years after our research began" could be a nice easter egg to kirby's 30th year anniversary. ...oh and you forgot the pose dedede makes is from smash bros. The wind ambiance from the room leading up to the final boss also contains the main theme, whistled in the wind. You can also see [SPOILERS] a faint blue rippling sheen on the outer edges of the helipad the first time you reach it - the sunlight being refracted through the final boss as it finishes its transformation. This only happens the first time you enter each run-through, as after a death it will instead already be transformed, instead casting its shadow over the helipad. Minor details, but a testament to HAL's absurd dedication to quality presentation.
I'm pretty sure that wind is a reference to the final boss theme (listen to the trumpets on phase 2). If you can prove me wrong though, I'd like if you could provide me a timestamp to which part of the main theme it's referencing.
I just found another wind reference. If you go to the volcano on the very north of the world map, the wind plays the motif of 9 seconds into "The Smell of a Scary Beast" (or "The One Who Controls the World" which uses the same motif).

MAJOR SPOILERS!!! Here's a few additional key details I've noticed: Your evolved abilities actually give you higher defense on top of the increased attack power, this means that playing without copy abilities is actually more dangerous than ever (not to mention playing with unevolved abilities in general). The cinema is actually one of the first buildings put into Waddle Dee Town and this was intentional as later when you get all the cutscenes and acquire the Usher Waddle Dee figure, it mentions in the description "After the town was destroyed, this movie-loving Waddle Dee decided that the cinema needed to be rebuilt right away." (and yes, I checked my in-game album just now for the EXACT description) Clawroline and Leongar are NOT actually using their real names which thanks to the figure you get for collecting ALL 300 soul pieces we can confirm their ACTUAL names are Carol and Leon respectively (which are actually pronounced differently from their aliases, basically the name Caroline had the "Carol" part replaced with "Claw" and "Leon" is actually pronounced like "Leo", an obvious nod to the lion constellation, for his alias Leongar, it also rolls off the tongue easier too). You can see many members of The Beast Pack when looking closely at Fecto Forgo. The term "Fecto" appears to be the species name of Elfilis' kind, hence why it appears at the beginning of the names of the two last bosses (for those wondering "Forgo" is the name the creature has when it's incomplete without Elfilin). The Commentator Waddle Dee has many different lines he'll say if Kirby chooses to continue after failing a Colosseum fight. If you fight Meta Knight (or the Phantom variant) without using Sword, when the boss cutscene happens (since Kirby can't counter the starting attack as he's supposed to) he will instead dodge out of the way to begin the battle. If you listen to King Dedede's boss theme you'll hear occasional cries from him IN the actual track. It's confirmed that after Morpho Knight is defeated Forgo escapes, but actually inherited most of the latent power from Morpho Knight allowing him to become Elfilis once more (this time WITHOUT the need of Elfilin's power). However they are corrupted beyond recognition as the latent power turns out to be none other than virtually EVERY SOUL BOSS KIRBY HAS FACED TO THIS POINT FUSED INTO ONE which is actually the true power of Chaos Elfilis in the end (I like to call it my own boss name "Unholy Amalgamation: Soul of Chaos), this is why once that Soul is destroyed, in the resulting cutscene Forgo decides to fuse back with Elfilin instead of the other way around due to the species finally having it's fury quelled. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a SUPER hard mini-boss rush to conquer at The Battle of Blizzard Bridge without powered-up abilities, helper items or guarding/dodging. Why? Because it's there ;)
There’s actually a reference to Kirby 64 in this game, when you evolve the needle ability into “clutter needle” it uses many of the same things that Kirby uses when you combine two needle abilities in Crystal Shards! It made me very happy when I found this
something i like is that the standee in Wondaria looks like it has the lil alien from Rhythm Heaven Megamix. not sure if this was a well-known idea or not, but i thought it was neat.
btw, the snow bridge level is actually a reference to the mid-boss towers of the series and pretty much all of them has a hidden entrance to a harder version of the tower
Cappy kinda does body horror/possession as well. I'd say that mouthful mode does what Cappy does in reverse, since Kirby covers the controlled objects as opposed to being worn by/covering them.
The new world Easter egg maintains at least on Spanish Naturaleza Urbana (forgot the name of the resto of the worlds but you get the idea) Spells Nuevo Mundo
@@HomieUnicorn No it isn't, you go down a pathway in Waddle Dee Town to get to a warp star with "Arrival Point" above it. although both are grassy Arrival Point is a tutorial not the first level
Something I really like about the game is that it uses very few songs from previous games. Instead, it makes lots of subtle references. For example, the grassy theme has Kirby's Triumphant Return and the Helper to Hero rest theme in it, and Scattered Souls in Isolated Isles has Dark Mind's theme and Looming Darkenss in it. It also helps hint at the fact that either the Ancients or the people of Popstar are the ones that studied Elfilis' warp ability to get to the "land of dreams," hence why the music is so similar yet different (also because they both use star shaped portals, "land of dreams" sounds a lot like Dream Land, and the Awoofy figure mentions that they are very similar to Waddle Dees. Even giant Waddle Dee and Primal Awoofy have similar fur) Edit: to add onto the theory, the ship in the background of Sillydillo's second phase looks a bit like the Lor Starcutter, and the three companies may have become Haltmann Works Co.
There are some remixes meta knight galacta knight king dee dee dee and floral fields all have remixes and i belive the title theme is a heavy remix of the invincibility theme not sure though oh yeah there are also remixes of castle lolololo grsssland 3 and 2 the later is very hard to notice and royal road although thosr are vert heavily remixed especially grassland 2
We need more Kirby content! Also you can practically kill the waddle dees and if you were to beat a level with a mouthful mode you can see the thing right behind you and the waddle dees.
If you try to attack the waddle Dee's in Waddle Dee town, they will pretend to faint, then get back up But when there is another waddle dee next to the one you attacked, it will look at it with a worried look, then it will get up and they laugh it off It's a really cute detail I noticed
Holy crap, Dpad thank you! I was watching this and saw my comment on the screen, this is so cool! I’ve never had this happen before, glad I could help with this video. 2:25
Spoiler for true arena equivalent. In Phantom Meta Knights figurine description, it mentions he's the lone illusion faced outside of fargo dreams, this is a nod to the fact he is the only illusion boss not to be fought in fargo dreams, aside from chaos Elfilis, who isn't really an illusion boss. I hope this also means we'll see more of phantom meta knight, but i doubt it. I just drew a connection between him and dark meta knight basically being the same thing, much like how morpho knight and galacta knight have similarities.
Fun fact about the "KIRBYSTORY" code. It's actually a super obscure reference to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. In that game, there's a movie theater with posters as references to other Nintendo games, including a Kirby one called "Kirby Story" So it's an easter egg reference to another easter egg!
2:35 you can actually fight without sword if you wait a bit. I was working on something while playing and missed the sword so I had to fight him with needle. Was a lot of fun albeit much easier.
Bit of errata at 5:16 : You unlock the Colosseum after defeating Clawroline in Wondaria. Which means unless you delay competing in the first cup until after the bridge, you get a gauntlet before that. Also, speaking of 86, the Vending Mouth you get in the third HAL room has 860 cans of drink in it.
You don’t actually have to use the sword to fight meta knight at all! I know with some abilities like hammer if you attack the sword it despawns and the fight starts as normal, but if you don’t have something that can knock it away you can spit out your current ability, grab the sword, then spit it out and grab your previous ability before it despawns. The only thing to to look out for if you do this the attack that normally triggers a qte to clash swords with him is MUCH more dangerous if you don’t also have a sword because he’ll just sweep you up and delete a quarter of your health bar unless you dodge out of the way.
Another hidden easter egg is the Forgo-alpha-bet.. its actually english but with diffrent letters, some actually taken from other languishes, "ט" (tet) and "מ" (mem) from Hebrew are there.... tho they missed the chance to use them for the actuall english equivelent (tet = T, mem = M, but i recall mem is N in this alpha-bet)
I have a Easter egg and it has to do with Kirby star allies, The music when you enter the hal room is a remixed version of the kirby star allies select screen :D
Fun fact thank you Kirby golden statue was actually an Easter egg to the previous game star allies has the golden Kirby statue rising up and instead of saying thank you Kirby and says we love Kirby
I don't think many people know this one but the Commentator Waddle Dee's microphone is actually a miniature Walky, the enemy which gives Kirby the Mike ability from other games in the series.
I don't think you notice, probably not but when you're on the really dark zone, the lasertag one, i don't remember the name of the level, but the some bits of the music are really really similar to the Mysterious life-form theme from pikmin 3, i think thats a reference
I really doubt it. Walking up on a beach is a really common trope. You wake up on a beach in; Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Path of Exile, RiME, Rust, New World, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeons: Explorers.
You can do a huge jump using hammer. If you hover until you start falling and do a hammer jump and the frame your hammer hits the ground, hold jump and then spam the same button. You should go flying into the sky like a rocket. You can go into areas you normally cannot. Also, the morpho knight sword can be used as a multi tool. Fully charged can hit stakes and the tornadoes can destroy flaming logs and turn on fans. It also has fire abilities and is able to activate lanterns like in the second level of natural plains and in windy, freezing seas.
Clawrine horrifyes me, like how does she maintain her claws?, are they just hidden in her entire arm?, do they go to a pocket dimension?, please Sakuria, give us a answer!
7:36 yeah, Gorowase number. It's a gimmick sometimes used as a mnemonic for numbers or add little references (like if a character has to wear a sports jersey, they'll put a number for their name). Tho usually its not the WHOLE name of the number, which is tricker, just a random syllable IN it.
I'm not sure if Hal intended this, but the Kirby Story code could be a Superstar Saga reference, where one of the posters in the movie theater says "Kirby Story" on it
Spoilers for late game/final boss. ID-F86 is potentially another reference to HAL, for the same reason the second HAL room uses 86 seconds. And if you sound out F86, it actually sounds like the name of Elfilis. The same can be done for Elfilin, whose ID is F87.
During the loading screen on the way back to waddle dee town, sometimes a waddle dee will appear in the door of the lowest house Edit: The waddle dee can appear in a few different spots. Another one can be seem in the bush on the 2nd layer
If you look at the intro of the game an orange butterfly appears and gets sucked into the vortex along with bandana Waddle Dee and Kirby. Which is the same butterfly that appeared in the intro and ending of the Kirby games.
Spoiler for ending: Don't know if it's a coincidence, but the way Dedede throws the waddle dee into the elevator, is very similar to how Dedede throws Kirby to the next area in Crystal Shards.
I have also just discovered if you have the morpho knight ability you can hold down the guard button and hold down b you can make a cool aura around you.
If you are on the last boss of the meta knight cup (meta knight ofc) you can hit his sword with bandana waddledee and you get to keep your current ability and you also get a new cutscene
Here’s a cool one Idk if it was intentional or not but considering this is Kirby it probably the hallway before you enter leongar’s area looks a lot like the city background from Kirby 64 when you fight HR-H same with the fecto elfilis fight the background also looks like that city background since shiver Star were you fight HR-H looks like earth and so does the forgotten land I don’t think that’s a coincidence
5:12 i actually found that on my first playtrough, I’m a really 100% percent guy so I check every corner and went through that route the first time I played the level (BTW sorry for being late I wanted to finish the game before coming, I only need to finish postgame and I’m done)
As well as "NEWWORLD" there is also the letter "I" which as most know is the roman numeral for the number one, making the message now "NEW WORLD I," hinting at a sequel.
To reiterate on an earlier comment, in The Wastes Where Life Began, when you get to the end of the level, there’s a break in the fence, allowing you to enter the hotel in the background. There’s an Awoofy sitting at the front desk AND lots of goodies.
You missed a very important Easter Egg is when you face Fecto Elfilis's final phase and automatically use Mouth Full mode on a Rig Truck then whole music is a retro style remix of the Invincibility theme of the Kirby series.
Chaos Elfilis Figure: If you turn her around, You will see that it follows your movements by her eyes moving. HAL Room 2: You have to get by stopping it by 86 seconds in The Wondaria Dream Parade, But. I think it is an ID-F86 Secret because 86 seconds makes the pond go up.
Here's a music fact! So, do you remember the Welcome To The New World song at the end of Downtown Grassland? Well, the song is almost everywhere! Not really but still everywhere, if you take a listen to the waddle dee town theme you'll realize! I figured this out because while I was playing, I was singing that song along with the waddle dee town theme. Then, I realized it is the exact song I was singing.
I somehow managed to find the secret passage on my first run through of blizzard bridge. I didn’t know that the bosses were harder. I was fighting for my life up there 😭
Spoilers here for the game's secret boss and secret ability: So with the Morpho Knight ability you get after beating Forgo Dreams, you can use two secret attacks First, when you guard and press and hold the attack button on the ground, after you charge it enough, you'll shoot out two ghostly Soul Forgos (The other half of Elfilin that Moprho Knight absorbs) that home in on enemies Second, when you guard and press and hold the attack button in midair, after a charge, you'll shoot out the sound waves that Morpho Knight uses to change the camera during his boss fight I just think that's a really neat detail!

Even giant Waddle Dee and Primal Awoofy have similar fur)
Edit: to add onto the theory, the ship in the background of Sillydillo's second phase looks a bit like the Lor Starcutter, and the three companies may have become Haltmann Works Co.
As a cool side note, I believe that the Meta Knight Easter Egg is the only time that you can use an ability evolution that you haven't unlocked.
If you try to attack the waddle Dee's in Waddle Dee town, they will pretend to faint, then get back up
But when there is another waddle dee next to the one you attacked, it will look at it with a worried look, then it will get up and they laugh it off
It's a really cute detail I noticed
Holy crap, Dpad thank you! I was watching this and saw my comment on the screen, this is so cool! I’ve never had this happen before, glad I could help with this video.
2:25
Nice!!!
If you're gonna do a spoiler warning, at least put the spoilers far down enough that they can't be seen without clicking read more.
Phantom meta knight was created from forgo trying to control him but failing as he resisted, anyway all phantom stuff dies after elfilis dies
the is MY FAVORITE kirby game since crystal shards, so thanks for the great video covering it!
I’m a new Kirby fan cause of this. I love this game!
I love the ring inhale, he looks so silly
Also, Kirby hates water in this game. Whenever you make him swim, he grimaces like this :(
I can't believe how close I came to find some of the Hal rooms.. classic sneaky buggers
The game looks amazing can't wait to play it also great video
Fun fact about the "KIRBYSTORY" code. It's actually a super obscure reference to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. In that game, there's a movie theater with posters as references to other Nintendo games, including a Kirby one called "Kirby Story"
So it's an easter egg reference to another easter egg!
Failed opportunity to put a Kirby Story poster in the cinema.
2:35 you can actually fight without sword if you wait a bit. I was working on something while playing and missed the sword so I had to fight him with needle. Was a lot of fun albeit much easier.
If you hit the sword with an attack, it breaks the sword and continue with whatever power you have
Bit of errata at 5:16 : You unlock the Colosseum after defeating Clawroline in Wondaria. Which means unless you delay competing in the first cup until after the bridge, you get a gauntlet before that.
Also, speaking of 86, the Vending Mouth you get in the third HAL room has 860 cans of drink in it.
2:14
I love how chill Dedede is
You don’t actually have to use the sword to fight meta knight at all!
You can also just slide kick the sword and it'll ping away and start the fight without having to worry about juggling abilities.
I knew you could fight him without the sword, but didn't realize you could do the quick time event without it. Neato.
The bridge one was amazing :O
the 86 also makes an appearance in the identifier ID-F86
0:24 I noticed this in the demo and was waiting so long for someone to say it!
The hal rooms are amazing, other fun easter eggs are the blue coins
That bridge secret is really clever
After they didn’t do it in Star Allies I actually had no idea the worlds spell out New World. That’s awesome!! Glad they brought that back again.
I always thought that at the very start of the game, when Kirby wakes up on the beach, it was a reference to Level 1 of the first Crash Bandicoot game
During the final part of the final boss of the main story (The truck) it plays the invicibility theme. Pretty awesome :).
It's like Wolverine, but cat.
She terrifies me because of the r 34 art you can find just by searching her name in google
Given the game this, the description on gotcha capsule for Clawroline doesn't lie, She does have fans.
Actually, when Claworline is in her second phase throwing her "claws", if you pay close attention it's actually knives she's throwing
@@mypaldracunyan1223 SHE HAS KNIVES AS CLAWS?!
If u spin with fleur tornado (and maybe the other tornados) for a bit, Kirby will start twirling then if u and let go Kirby will do a small attack.
2:43 Fun Fact: That sword is the exact sword that Meta Knight wielded in his debut appearance, Kirbys Adventure on the NES.
mr sandbag may be a reference to mr sandman form punch out
I just love when all the world's names first letters make another world entirely :)))
KIRBYSTORY present code is actually a Easter Egg/node to Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga movie poster Kirby Story.
Kirby: When day breaks
I'm not sure if Hal intended this, but the Kirby Story code could be a Superstar Saga reference, where one of the posters in the movie theater says "Kirby Story" on it
Spoilers for late game/final boss.
ID-F86 is potentially another reference to HAL, for the same reason the second HAL room uses 86 seconds.
And if you sound out F86, it actually sounds like the name of Elfilis. The same can be done for Elfilin, whose ID is F87.
One more blank row, can see name
@@ramblinevilkirb5069 Thanks for letting me know! It showed up fine for me at first, so I figured it wouldn’t end up showing anything.
Isn't there a song in planet robobot called F86
@@MetastarULTRA Pretty close to it! It’s called L86 and plays during parts of Stages 4 and 5 in the Access Ark level.
@@aither8057 whoops I got it wrong
Kirby has a gun in this game, so it can’t be bad
I did forgot to mention, the time music is from super kirby clash!
It plays when you stop time as the beam mage.
I like that you can Upgrade stuff and the Mouth full mode is funny lmao
Kirby Story was one of the movies advertised at the yoshi theater in superstar saga
During the loading screen on the way back to waddle dee town, sometimes a waddle dee will appear in the door of the lowest house
Edit: The waddle dee can appear in a few different spots. Another one can be seem in the bush on the 2nd layer
If you look at the intro of the game an orange butterfly appears and gets sucked into the vortex along with bandana Waddle Dee and Kirby. Which is the same butterfly that appeared in the intro and ending of the Kirby games.
Spoiler for ending:
Don't know if it's a coincidence, but the way Dedede throws the waddle dee into the elevator, is very similar to how Dedede throws Kirby to the next area in Crystal Shards.
The music that plays in the HAL rooms is actually a remix of the title screen theme from Star Allies
You can fully translate the forgotten language to english using the subtitles from the intro and credits
if you spin in circles with the fleur tornado ability, kirby will start spinning on is tippy-toes like a ballerina.
SPOILERS: Isolated Isles is II. NEW WORLD II.
Kirb and the forgor 💀 place
true
In 5-1 instead of grabing the 3 waddle dee at the end you can see a broken fence and if you jump you can actually go in the hotel in the background
Thé colosseum can be unlocked before getting to the cold world so no the first time you can do boss rush
The first time i fought meta knight, i thought to take is sword and was so excited when it worked
The KIRBYSTORY code is actually a reference to the Kirby Story poster in the Yoshi Theater in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
I wish there would've been more easter eggs related to older games! >.< those have always been my favourite part of kirby
0:50 not too big he just doesnt want to swallow them
Here's a music fact!
“You can also go into his home through the chimney”
Oh why didn’t you say so?
Now I can enjoy a nice and roasted kirby-
you missed the secondary animations for the mouthful modes you showed off! pressing up or down will play one, and left or right will play the other
Also if you talk to elfilin a lot he starts to get annoyed after you beat the main story.
I somehow managed to find the secret passage on my first run through of blizzard bridge. I didn’t know that the bosses were harder. I was fighting for my life up there 😭
Actually, if you wait long enough, You can fight meta knight without the sword. I think it's like, 20-ish seconds.
Not what I meant. I meant the sword was needed for the QTE, tho thats not accurate either.
If you want to fight him without a sword you can just hit the sword too
Spoilers here for the game's secret boss and secret ability:
So with the Morpho Knight ability you get after beating Forgo Dreams, you can use two secret attacks
First, when you guard and press and hold the attack button on the ground, after you charge it enough, you'll shoot out two ghostly Soul Forgos (The other half of Elfilin that Moprho Knight absorbs) that home in on enemies
Second, when you guard and press and hold the attack button in midair, after a charge, you'll shoot out the sound waves that Morpho Knight uses to change the camera during his boss fight
I just think that's a really neat detail!
The vending machine in the 3rd hal room also has 860 cans btw
