Mine has been awesome played every day for past 3 years, same burst but with the maple fret board. Kind of wish I went for the rosewood at the time since they have all changed to indian laurel now. Thinking about an upgrade but its honestly such a solid guitar so its hard to justify!

To be honest I think the squire has more of a punchy sound to it. After all it's just the fender name you pay for not the guitar in my opinion my dad has a Mexican fender stratocaster red and he had a red stratocaster squire they both had the same sound quality so that's how I know we compared them
