I have a Huion dial wireless tablet which works with Android, and I'm using it with my Galaxy Tab A7 and Artrage Vitae. A lot of people are saying you can't use it full screen with Android, but that's not true. It just takes some playing around with in the settings. It's set up to only work full-screen when vertical, but by locking the Galaxy's rotation and physically rotating both tablets it works perfectly in landscape. (I should probably do a video on that, but it's absolutely awesome). I use a tablet floor stand and can paint wirelessly in bed with the Tab floating overhead and a PIP youtube video playing in the corner! My only complaint is no masking on mobile.
I have ArtRage mobile on my Chromebook. Shortcuts I've found are Ctrl Z/Y, Ctrl R to open the reference menu, Ctrl L to open the layer menu, and letter keys to select tools. I'm just wondering, how would you replicate the square canvas 2 brush?
Thank you for the tip! I don't know of any way to replicate the square canvas toothbrush on mobile. I'll put in a request with the company to see if they can import that brush set for us. That would be a top priority!
have you tried this with a Huion in DEX mode? I am going to check this out with my Z fold3 and the Huion 22plus but just never get around to downloading it. also, can I pull files from the desktop version and use it on the mobile?
Desktop to mobile works as long as the desktop resolution is not greater than mobole can import. But I have not tried it with a huion tablet or in Dex mode yet! Let me know how it works!
It worked GREAT! It was actually *too* easy if that's possible. I hooked it up, started DEX and used the Galaxy as keyboard or mouse. I tried the trace mode and that worked great too.
I came looking for the best digital art app for Android to get started and found your videos. I'd be very interested in seeing how this would also works on a Chromebook since I have the same xp pen tablet and I have a Chromebook. 😁 I will look into your catalogue of videos after I hit the subscribe button 😁
It's a amazing work!!! How do you increase bursh size over 100%? On my mobile Artrage, I cannot increase the brush size over 100%. Please help me. :) thank you.
Amazing what you can do just with a phone. I guess my next one will be with a stylus xDDD Daniel, i have a question. It seems you use color picker quite often, why is that? It seems logical to rely on the eye as much one can, then every digital etude is an additional exercise and has much more in common with traditional media. Is it just purely for time saving? Most of teachers consider it kinda a bad habit xDDDD
I've been an artist for decades working professionally. And mixing paint is not as much of a goal anymore as it once was. I was at the governor's show for the state of Colorado last week doing the Plein Air painting event and mixing paint with traditional media is automatic at this point. Mixing paint in digital still feels awkward by comparison. I kind of hate it to be honest. I wish I could mix my digital paint like I do on my traditional palette. So I do use the color picker for speed. But also I just hate the awkwardness of color picking and digital. My brain wants to mix paint to generate color as opposed to find it on a rainbow :).
@@DanielIbanez Sorry, i wasnt clear enough. I meant an eyedropper tool, the one on the ALT key, which allows you take sample of color from a photo and just paint with it. Some of teachers urge not to use it at all. The reasoning behind it is that students who works primarily digital and tends to copy from photo rely so heavy on this that their ability to see and match color not improving at all. That creates problems and struggle when working from life or imagination, even digitally. Now i see that you as a professional already can do it so well it does not matter at all. My question initially arose because it seems in many videos with reference you use an eyedropper. What is interesting, in some cases it allows you to work in full color palette almost from the start, rather then going in more common approach with simple shapes in base color -> complex shapes and full color. Anyway, i am just a beginner and i like your videos a lot. Would be great to know more about your ideas and painting process in general, not only software skills. Thank you for your time and sorry for that long wall of text ) P.s. Maby corel painter 2022 will make color mixing easier. They already have color palette and some options there.
Love all your stuff, thank you but really enjoyed that. Thanks mate
Thank you Sean!

It's fantastic man! Thanks for sharing 👍

Good ideas ill look into it
Thanks for this video. Does Artrage Vitae mobile have options for adjusting individual layer brightness, contrast and temperature?
@@rajbex great question. I do not think so. You can only adjust the opacity and blend mode
On android. Having issues using color changes. They won't stick...goes back to color of the canvas. Any ideas?

Holaa, yo también tengo la misma duda, de casualidad sabes si funciona en la chromebook? Al parecer el del video nunca subió lo de la chromebook...

Hello! It is only possible in Artrage Vitae (the new version of artrage)
@@DanielIbanez Thank you very much for your kind reply. :)
Where to purchase or download this app for Android tablet?
The Google play store. Search for 'artrage vitae'
thanks 😊
Hey , just a quick question. So if I want to get my digital art work printed, should I use the image that has canvas texture or the one wiithout it?
Both work great! The resolution is what matters.the rest is just style :)
