I've got a Bezior x1000 last summer. Very fun bike, and with some fiddling with the menu options on the controller a very fast bike too. Not exactly street legal fast, but the bike is not really for the street anyway. Some issues I've encountered so far:
- Aluminium bushings (not a great material to reduce friction) in the rear suspension and bearings in the crankshaft get very creaky.
- Chain link didn't want to bend, causing the chain to jump over the teeth of the rear main gears, luckily had just enough battery left to limp home and prevent damage to the gear.
- Cables getting pinched between the rear suspension linkage and the frame, causing them to wear out quite quickly. Discovered this today, not great for hydraulic brake.
- Brakes not up to downhill riding. I only weigh 60kg, but the braking fluid boiled after just a little bit of downhill in snow.
- Steering geometry is weird, especially in combination with a fat tire. It's stable enough to ride hands free, but when you do tighter corners it suddenly wants to oversteer with force at about 35-40 degrees.
- Gears inside the hub motor make a LOT more noise after 1300 km.
- Front fork is pretty bendy under braking and when going over bumps.
I knew what I was getting into for the price, and all these things are fixable. Without it I wouldn't have any forest near enough to have any energy left for the off-road bit or ride home.
It also puts a smile on a lot of amazed kids wherever you go, which is a nice bonus.
How can I change the speed ?
@@danhickhick9202 It took quite some searching, but there is a manual online somewhere in chenglish. You can get into the menu and change the settings, but I forgot how. The display is a s700 something or other.
Good video Andy, the bike style seems to be geared to the younger generation, and we called those seats way back when "peddle bikes" banana seats. Not sure they were a fad in the UK.

I think the best type of frame to use for e bikes of over 24mph are the ones with Dual Shocks. I have 2 bikes of 1 with front shocks only and other 1 are dual shocks of front forks and under seat at middle bottom of frame. Yes, the dual shock rides much better if not just perfect when riding fast on rough conditions of road like little bumps, dips, pot holes, wide cracks, ect. The E bike with 1 shock of front forks rides a bit rough after initial contact of front forks. Extremely different and I realized using dual shocks is best when using e bikes of a faster speed of 24plusmph. Nothing wrong with 1 shock frames but with faster e bikes the dual shocks seems perfect..
People just don't understand how fun ebikes are. It's literally the best thing since the bicycle.

Your content is increasingly similar to what interests me as time goes on. I'm a Ammeter Radio junky and recently built an E-Bike (lost my licence for 6months). Almost went for one of your hub motor kits but after a bit of contemplating and watching many RUclips videos, yours included, I ended up with the BBSHD 52v..............I "cycle" a 40mile round trip across the South Downs with the beast. Next project will be to build a larger AH battery pack or a second pack in a rucksack connected in parallel, I'm just on the limit with range (get around 25miles from 21AH).
Anyway Andy, all the best to you and thanks for the varied content. Come back to radio soon, maybe bicycle mobile 😉.

i did a quick search on geared vs non geared hub motors and " they " say geared can wear out faster due to more moving parts obviously but the advantages are theyre smaller than direct drive, i dont know how long anything lasts anyway

Andy - I have a question for you . I am thinking of getting an E-Bike but for 3 months on & off it will not be used as I will be in Spain. Is it bad to have the battery left for that amount of time? Obviously I would charge it up fully before I left, I wouldn't want it sat on a trickle charger whilst I was away. I know they sit in storage before they are sold, But would this affect the batteries life / Performance over time? Thanks In Advance .

Just got mine, usb port does not work for charging, shocks are wobbly, disks are crap and don't really have much stopping power
Pedaling without the battery is hard, I don't get why there's so much resistance, feels like reverse charging (easy 30mph) with battery though.
Pedal assist is glitchy, sometimes it thinks you're pedaling when you're not, throttle is either 0 or 100%
Front light shakes like hell
This is a road cruiser, any bumps or speed bumps aren't handled well at all
Lastly, handlebars are not a good shape, I changed mine to standard mbt ones (moutain biking style) handles better with wider bars.
Overall, it has potential, its a good frame, good motor, I think a front hub motor and secondary battery would be fun, adding a seat with springs would dampen any bumps.

Been riding my 1000w hub bike for 2 years now, Have passed countless police and I even parked right next to a 4 man police van the other day while having a cigarette and they didn't even bat an eyelid lol
Its not even an actual power limit, top end legal emtbs are 800w, they just call it turbo to squeeze around the law.
250w is rhe nominal power limit, its realky just speed restriction legislation
Police are tools. They mostly target delivery drivers. I've been riding my M1 PRO around croydon to purley for over a year no problems. Just ghost peddle if I see any old bill. Its the idiots going 30 plus miles an hour with 3 batteries taped to their bike that are obvious.
All propaganda and it seems to have worked. How did they get all those ebikes on the back of the police tow truck . Some even had small motors on them. Police genuinely don't care .

This style of bike is quite a basic frame but because of how sick they look they ONLY sell them as completes and for a ridiculous amount..... just sell me the frame only so I can not waste loads of money kit I wont use!!!! this is one of the few I'll consider if it comes with a 1000W motor as you say. 250 and you can jog on.

Hi Andy. Ould you let me know the programme presets on the display of yours. Mine is playing up and I want too check they are all OK. Bezior are sending me a new controller as they thunk the loss of PAS is this one being faulty but I'd like to check them anyway. I've tried on your discord for any help but had no reply as yet.

Got it last month…Your safety is at risk, our rear wheel keeps popping off the frame while accelerating after 10 km. So far no exchange nor return. No more rear brakes. So disappointed.

Bought it after this review. I have to say the bike feels really unstable, handlebars are just too lightweight. I believe it's mostly because of the steering angle, it is almost 90 degrees from the body.
Another problem is power delivery, it jumps at the start and feels really wobbly and uncontrollable. Saddle is also quite firm, so the rider feels every bump on the road.
The icing on the cake is the headlight which blinds everybody on the road and (sic!) impossible to adjust its angle.
Overall very poor quality bike, dunno what to like about it.
There are some quirks, mainly the headlight rattling. I'm still riding it daily tho. I don't have the throttle problem.
Sorry to say its terrible the bike you had that what I call a bike the fast one. That's the one you had to get registered. Fot to get 15mile range at 25mph it should be better than that. I'll admit it's different it's a kind of bike you can do it up give it a bit more style the seat looks comfortable. But no it's not my kind of bike. It's good to see you get in to bikes again waiting for next bike hope it better than that one. Is the backgrond music yours if so it's ideal for your videos

To be honest, the title threw me.
Mechanical disc brakes (not hydraulic).. No rear suspension.. Doubtful it is a true 1kw motor.. Most likely a 500w with a peak wattage of 750. A little overpriced.
This worries me to, brakes, suspension and range especially. Compared to the Bezior XF200 it's a bit behind which is a shame cause the XF001 looks so much better.
I have the XF200. Unlocked, it gets up to 43 kmh. If it didn't have rear suspension it would be dangerous to ride, as I am sure the XF001 would be if the speed were unlocked.. That bench seat would be a real kidney puncher at 40 kmh. The range on the XF200 is good, but nothing close to the 100 km they advertise. I imagine the range of the XF001 is also greatly exaggerated with the 12.5 Ah battery it comes with.
@@QuietWalker Overall what do you think of the XF200, how long have you been using it, the build quality, the brakes, is it comfy to ride for longer trips etc?=)
