Re watched your SIM2 vs SIM2 max vid. Same swing speed and ball was much longer than Qi10. I think a 2024 comparison is in order. Love the comtent. Thanks
I put the demo Qi10 standard up against my TSi3 and a used Stealth2 in the shop, and both TM drivers flew so much higher than my TSi3, but weren't any better on dispersion. Comparing them directly with a titanium faced driver, and they both felt like they were made of plastic. I hit one freaky high toe with the Qi10 and it went 34 yards left. I thought it was never going to land.
lol. Yep I am going to test Titleist drivers this summer. Was not a fan of either Stealth. The Qi10 is a sharp looking club, but i have heard of people having issues with faces pulling off the head with the Carbon Faced Drivers, with Stealth and Stealth 2. I see what you did with your screen name😅
I hit the IQ10 today, and I can say with the weight all the way to the draw side (in the LS) it feels a lot more stable. And I was still able to hit a draw with it so idk I got +10 ball speed from switching. I like it 100% recommend
I'm still playing the Sim 2 Max. I see the same characteristics as you see with the Qi10 in that off center strikes can spin up quite a bit. Makes for a bit more dispersion than I'd like. Not seeing that the Qi10 is going to be a substantial improvement.
Hey what are your thoughts on the Qi10 max hybrid vs Stealth 2 HD Hybrid i currently have the 3 and 5 hybrids in the stealth 2 HD and love them BUT i need a 4 hybrid am i better to find an HD in the 4 hybrid or is it a better jump to the Qi10 max in the 4 hybrid ? please inform cheers from Vulcan Canada
There has been very little change in drivers over the past few years. But people like the latest and greatest. I've got a buddy that buys a new driver every year. Makes him happy. I spend a fraction of that $ on a couple golf lessons and beat him every time we play.
Wow I’ve never really heard of a driver being cut down to 41 inches. Is this done just for testing purposes to get consistent strikes? Because that seems super short.
When I saw the heat pattern on the face of each driver, I knew I was in trouble. Isn't one of the claims of the new Qi10 that it is more forgiving? Maybe try to hit a few off center mass on each to see if there is any real difference. Maybe bring your dad in to hit a few. Just kidding, but your swing is probably in the top 5% of all golfers. Other than getting out and hitting it myself (still a foot of snow on the ground) how can I tell if this new head is better than the Stealth 2 for a slower, less consistent swing? I do appreciate your efforts and enjoy watching your reviews.
I am on my 3rd head. I purchased the stealth Plus last december, it cracked and they were out so they shipped me a the stealth 2 +. That one cracked and they replaced it again. Honestly I really like how it feels and I get a lot of distance out of it. It's not the most forgiving driver I have hit for sure. Maybe I if this one cracks I will get shipped the Qi10 :)
Need to see SIM 2 vs QI10 as the stealth sucks and the SIM2 is a great all around driver. I have SIM2 max and love the head is the same size as the standard . Cheers
So you don't have s stealth, you just saw the numbers are less than 1% different, but somehow you know "the stealth sucks" 😂😅. RUclips comments are hilarious.
Great video... Thoughts on a video of testing that MOI that PIng and TM is pushing... Get a shaft of your choosing with the same weight but different flexes (I.e. Ventus blue 6X,6S,6R). If the marketing of the highest MOI is what they are pushing, then regardless of shaft flex, they should all go straight, just the launch conditions should be affected.
These 10k drivers won’t cure swing faults, slight miss hits will stay straighter than normal BUT if the path & face relationship are a long way apart then your still going to miss fairways.
Thanks for your review, watching it (and others I’ve seen) would suggest there would be little if any benefit in upgrading from my Stealth 2 to the Qi10.
Qi10 looks bigger with a slanted-out toe (which makes sense). It may be the red rim around the Stealth that reduces the black crown area. Anyway, I appreciate that you staggered the Qi10 and Stealth strikes in 3s to avoid contact improvement gains.
Unless you’re at >105 mph swing speed, AND assuming you’ve been fitted properly (essential!!) I just don’t see a reason to change up. Same same. Get a six pack of lessons. Same dough. Just my two cents.
Hi. Great reviews. Is there anyway you can wear a shirt that doesn’t sound so loud when you swing. The microphone is picking up this noise. Just a bit distracting. Thanks.
Problem is all these driver comparison websites are with scratch golfers .be interesting to see foregiveness and distance numbers between the top new models in the hands of a 14 to 16 handicaper
Honestly these pure analytical reviews in 2024 are becoming pointless. The difference in numbers are so marginally small, you can go with any quality brand and get similar results. The look and feel of the club is 100% a personal choice and will instill the most confidence to hit better shots. With that being said I am also most looking forward to the callaway AI Smoke. This taylormade is a 7/10 in the looks, and it wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the "infinity crown."
@gdo3510 that would generally be an accurate statement, but I'm surprised at the forgiveness testing I've seen in youtube for thr smoke. U have guys hitting heal bangers or balls way out on the toe only losing 1 or 2 mph ballspeed.
@@scottw9267 That's the same with the Qi10 Max and the Ping Max. The difference is so small, that you should pick on what you like the most. I'm going in for a fitting February 6th and honestly I doubt I'll see much improvement over my Sim2 Max. That driver is so steady
@Bech285 except those are testing worse on ball speed and spin and are flying in weird windows compared to predecessors on flush shots. (Meaning ping 10k is testing worse than standard g430 ). The ai smoke is actually testing the same as paradym on center strikes and testing great on off center shots. Not a callaway fan boy and don't buy marketing nonsense. I am intrigued that the limited youtube testing does show what the marketing says though. TM and Pings offerings have testers like txg already saying that those clubs are forgiving but that's it. I saw another test that the qi10 needed to be lofted down to 8 to get the testers typical spin pattern with a 10.5 deg TM. Again, the small amount of testing around doesn't indicate that those super moi drivers are the same as the smoke. But maybe callway paid for the testing and it's all made up.

Needless upgrade from Stealth 2 unless TaylorMade made the Qi10 with improved durability, but they don't mention it..maybe because they don't want to admit the weakness of the stealth 2. I have a stealth 2 plus, 4 months old, blew the sole out!

The new one looks better and sounds better but from your test, (good player) I wouldn’t be moving out of S2 for another 3 yards and no discernible dispersion improvements. The BS coming out of club makers is reaching stratospheric heights at the moment.
Honestly I like your videos ok but at the end you don’t give an opinion just numbers. For the every weekend golfers I think we would like an actual opinion instead of so many robotic numbers. We don’t have a machine to measure numbers so personal opinion goes along way.
Those spin numbers look significantly off - and are affecting both your carry, and your total numbers. With 111 club head speed and 163 ball speed you should be seeing carry distance in the mid 280's and total distance around 300+. With your delivery, there isn't a chance that you're putting almost 4000 rpm of backspin on the ball. You should consider upgrading your setup to a GC-Quad launch monitor.
Just hit the Qi10 (all 3) alongside my SIM2 and a Paradym off the same shaft and it seems the Paradym is still the most forgiving but the Qi10 sounds so much better than the stealth 1 and 2 and feels faster off the face.. don’t think it is but the fun factor is back in it like the SIM series
I’d still put my Rogue ST Max up against anyone. Paradym was a rogue ST with a paint job and stupid people still went out and spent $200-$300 more for the same exact driver!!! 😂😂😂
Conclusion: in the hands of average golfers with a far more erratic strike pattern than Michael, there is zero reason to “upgrade” every year. what is the difference in MOI between the 2? Has TM published the MOI for the standard Qi10?

It’s not at all. But it’s got a carbon face!
I have hit both. Qi10 is clearly more forgiving and generates slightly more ball speed. Qi10 looks better too.

as a data nerd I'd love to see some additional data points like AOA, the spin rates seem a touch high for a 9 degree core head

What are the benefits of the shorter shaft length length?
Helps with strike & control
What was the shaft length and wondering why you didn’t choose the upright setting being as you’re so tall?

Hi Michael. Good video as always. Just wondering What is your angle of attack?
Generally with driver 1/2 up

The Qi10 standard has 8450 g-cm^2 in moi. The standard Stealth 2 is 8250. And the Stealth 2 HD is 8500.
Thanks Michael - great comparison. Do you think the QI is noticeably more forgiving? Also - is that the grip you normally use throughout the bag?

Suggestion: to try an external microphone (not connected to your jacket). The ruffling sound is pretty jarring when you cut to it.
Yes agree, not normally as bad so must be the jacket. Just filmed another with mic close by, not as good a audio….I’ll try another method 👍
