I literally pulled the trigger on the Ai fusion with steel fiber shafts!!! Cannot wait to get the entire set in my hands! Can’t wait to see the club I pull for new yardages! Fantastic review! Keep up the solid work! Cheers from Los Angeles!!!
Purchased the Ti fusion irons, simply the best irons ive ever hit. When i tested them, my old junior pal who is the fitter said, “i knew you would like these” i have always played blades, but these have the same feel, but the forgiveness, consistency and overall performance was outstanding. Expensive, but in my view worth it, I don’t drink or smoke, my indulgence is golf, so i did indulge.
Michael, Another great review. Love the channel. Looks like I might give the TI Fusion irons a look after you described the feel of hitting them. Thanks again for your great work. Cheers.
I hit these today. They look good IMO. They were very forgiving and the ball flies off the face. I am not a great golfer. 7iron SS around 86. 200s carried 165ish. 300s over 170 easily. When I really tried I could hit the 300 over 180 carry. Best one I have hit recently.
Like you I was surprised by the feel of the Ti Fusion when I hit it. Definitely one of the best feeling irons I can recall hitting. Awhile back I had some Mizuno Pro 225, and those were excellent feeling irons as well, and something I would say feels similar for someone considering the Ti Fusion, but not having hit them yet. I also think the Ti Fusion look and sound great. I immediately noticed the topline on the Fusions looked thinner than what I'd been hitting (Callaway original Paradym irons). The dark finish may have given part of the thinner impression. People ruling out the Ti Fusion because of price without trying them are doing themselves a disservice. I highly recommend trying them out side by side with whatever you are currently using, and the other Apex (if you're considering them).
Haven't hit the AI fusion yet. However, I know exactly what my specs are and I'm not afraid to buy them blind. Got a 7i on the way to get some data with. I'm convinced they'll be perfect.
I have been waiting for this review, I had the DCB irons a few years ago but found the heads really heavy.....do you see a similar issue with these AI 300's? Great review as always!
Just did a fitting. AI200 gave me the best results. Ordered a set. T200 were close. But just too shiny and pretty from something I smack through sand and grass all day.
HI michael , i was thinking about buying the dcb from apex21... this ai300 looks a bit more bulky ... currently play d9 forged .. but fancy a change.. are the callaways slightly bigger than d9F? Cheers
Thanks, great review Michael. The data seems to indicate the Callaway Ti Fusion and Ai200 have very similar performance...but a higher variation in spin for the Ai200. Can't believe the price point for the Ti Fusion -- sort of like driving a Maserati 😎
I was thinking a Ti 4-iron with an aftermarket graphite shaft might make a good driving iron. But upward of £400 puts it nearly in the driver/FW price category. Ouch. Golf clubs are getting stupidly expensive.
The stats don’t really show what they should. The 300’s have the most spin ! They carry a little further but not much. I think stats are misleading, if a club is easy for you to hit use it. If you like the feel / look and can hit it… use it. Is the feel worth £1000 for Tungsten irons ? What are the shaft options…? Far more important difference between makes IMO.
Why would you say that? I don’t drink or smoke, have my own business, so can afford it, if i want to buy £2000 irons, i will. You can enjoy your shallow world
Michael, you always do a perfect job testing clubs. Would love to see you on the course some.

Agree
I really want to see you on the golf course, play some holes, or the practice area to review wedges and putters
Always awesome product reviews and in my mind the best as you have solid club head speed and a very consistent swing.
Much appreciated

Great review 👍 Any chance of testing the 200s against the Apex 21s 🤞
I'll try
This!! As I’m currently gaming Apex 21s and would like to see overall performance comparison.

Please compare the Ti with the Apex Pro

Is the Ti Fusion more or less forgiving than the 24 Apex Pro? Thx
How do they feel compared to the Titleist line ? Kind of similar?
yes!
Great review. How does the sole size of the Ai 200 compare to the Titleist T150 and T200?
slightly thicker
@@MichaelNewtonGolf thanks for the reply. Do you mean that it’s slightly thicker than the T150 or slightly thicker than the T200?
@@nicelad_ the way I read his reply is that the AI200 is slightly thicker than the T150

What’s the target market for the ti fusions? Low handicappers?
Yes mid to low handicaps
So does the ai smoke iron have more or less off then the apex 300? Looks like the 300 has more offset
Apex has a stupid amount off offset. No thanks .

There's just too many better looking irons than these.
Subjective
I loved the look and feel. Ordered a combo set.
I am curious what you think are better looking?
Anybody spending £2000 on any set of irons needs to stand in the corner of their lounge and have a severe word with themself. Ridiculous
I just did, but traded my Apex 21’s with Callaway.
Why would you say that? I don’t drink or smoke, have my own business, so can afford it, if i want to buy £2000 irons, i will. You can enjoy your shallow world
@@Pud56 given you have your own business I might have expected you to understand the point, given you don’t live in a shallow world.
the spin is MEGA low on these
I just ordered a combo set of 200s and 300s. I got recoil dart shafts and my spin was well over 6000.
