5-cilinder torque. Most of my highway pulls were against higher HP (+25 to 50HP) cars but with lower torque numbers. They were blown away of how well my Volvo kept ahead or how I just kept pulling next to them. The torque is amazing in these cars.
All my Volvo's have the same chip in the windshield that never seems to spread. Awesome video, driving and car!

My gosh, YES. There's a local drifter here who got his start in a V8-swapped Volvo brick, too. That was what he was dropped off at school in! I love these cars.

Amazing that the dash is still mostly intact! Love the Volvo 5-cylinder. Still in disbelief that they retired it. I assume it was mostly due fuel economy regulations.

Hands down one of my favourite videos on RUclips! Loved the fact you both just stayed silent and enjoyed the ride! Great video! I own a V70R have had it 3 years and kept it original! Have always thought about tweaking it though! But I’d rather do that to an 850r in my opinion I do prefer that shape it’s just more boxier if that’s a word haha!

Thinking about taking my volvo 940 turbo to the ring at somepoint in life, its mostly stock apart from some tiny engine modifications, but id atleast like to change out the brakes tyres and suspension before i have a go :D

But the chassi tower strut bar is mounted wrong. Rotate the bar 180* and it can go much closer to the firewall. you can see the "dents" in the bar that is for get clear from the drain hoses.

Front calipers are from Peugeot 607 3.0 24v but it is difficult to make them ready (with bracket) for use on a Volvo 850. Rear is stock
It's a Volvo 5 cyl, Ford used it for their RS

The driver has really quiet hands and knows what his fwd monster is good at and does not ask too much of the front tires. I missed if there were torque numbers but it seems to be making 450+ ft lbs. With the tall gearing the HP is irrelevant.

Wow! That thing passes everything on the road but a gas station! Lol I love how the other drivers, when they see that Ferrari red car coming up quickly behind them, move out of the way. I'd love to see their faces when they realize that it's a Volvo station wagon and not an actual Ferrari flying by them! :)

Why is there a spunge on the steering pump?
The steering pump sometimes spits out some fluid. Mine does the same after some hard work at the ring lol.
