Amazing musicianship. These guys really raised the bar for live shows. Thank you, Jeff Lynne, for demanding so much of your band- too many bands these days just suck the live shows, and make up for it with pyrotechnics and other nonsense.
This music is timeless. I love the way the band is in sync with each other. I was watching the piano player go from the piano to the moog synthesizer to the solina string ensemble. Makes me wanna go gig again !
Some facts about Jeff Lynne (ELO)...First, he is a very humble man, simply because this Music Genius is not interested in fame, the limelight, and money, he just loves to create great music. Jeff Lynne is one of the most versatile musicians ever, this is why he is considered by his peers to be among the greatest. He didn't stick to one style of music because, after decades, it gets boring. Jeff has done progressive Rock, Symphonic Rock - Pop, New wave, and Disco. Everything he does turns to gold. He even flirted with Country music. From 1972 to 1986 (During 14 years) Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra has had more top 40 hits than any other group in the world... 51 years later they still play in sold-out Arenas, festivals and Stadiums. During Jeff Lynne's ELO 2019 Tour, many reviews agreed in saying they are the best live Classic Rock Band in the world still touring and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius( From Forbes Magazine and the Washington Post). ELO is in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Songwriter award ( ASCAP ) in 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. In October of 2020, Jeff Lynne has been made an officer of The Order Of The British Empire for his extraordinary contribution to music. He previously has received three Ivor Novello Awards, which celebrate songwriters and composers, including the award for outstanding services to British music. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire. Jeff Lynne has written and produced many hit songs for music legends like George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Del Shannon, the Everly Brothers, The Beatles, and so many others...In June 2023 Jeff Lynne was inducted in The Songwriters Hall Of Fame ❤👍💯
I was 16 years old when this song came on and always dreamt to see this band live.... unfortunately never did, was in the wrong country in those days but, I am glad I got to listen to ELO songs on the radio in them days............one of my favourite bands.....
I had the pleasure of witnessing this show twice in the same week! The second show we all got stranded in the same motel due to an ice storm, the group were in the room above us, I was just too ******UP to go and meet the guys, and yes, I've hated myself sense. WHAT A TWO SHOW WEEK.
I first heard Evil Woman in the late fall of 1975 and was blown away! I was graduated from CCHS in Englewood, CO USA in '76 and heard it in my friend's '75 maroon Camaro while driving on the CC dam road one night. This blew me away again!! So nice to see something from early '76 with such exceptional quality!! None of these guys were over 30 at the time!...AMAZING!! Thanks!
that string section holds it down, really cool to see it in a rock n roll setting and add such great emotion to the song in a tasteful way, which I always thought stings in rocknroll was cheesey this changed my mind
My first bout of Canadian beer drinking coincided with an ELO extravaganza in vinyl on the record player at my buddies house....God love those memories.....and ELO from the motherland!
This song was the lovely-song from my first girlfriend and me (bevor 50 years - we are 9 years old) and the second lovely song from us was - Theo wir fahren nach Lodz - a german song.
They should call that video "Evil Cellist" for the way that guy was writhing around playing that instrument. I haven't seen a male cellist in person in years.
Para mi en lo personal... Esta rola me trae buenos recuerdos , Estar escuchando el FM local llendo con una nalguita rumbo pa Puerto Marquez... Hay busquenle en google maps
SON-OF-GUN; JUST MADE IT!!! In 1976 "Evil Woman" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 17 weeks in the Top 100... This record peaked at No. 2 on France's singles chart in 1976...
♪♫ April 16, 1972 - The Electric Light Orchestra made their debut at The Fox and Greyhound in Croydon, London. ELO were formed to accommodate former Move members Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. Wood departed following the band's debut record, Lynne wrote and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every album. ♪♫
Electric Light Orchestra; their sound was unique
RIP Kelly Groucutt. Damn guy had an amazing voice.

Hiper canción
No playback
No autotune

100% ¡Masterpiece!
Gran bateria es Bev Bevan , tiene ritmos en los bates muy buenos. Se nota esa practica de adolescentes con John Bogham de los Zeppelin.
I always heard it as "He's a woman"!
WrestlingHeretic / I heard beautiful woman
I thought it was "medieval woman" for the longest time
