If you want to see covered bridges you need to go to Parke County Indiana they have more historical covered bridges than the state of Vermont and you can drive through many of them. Its really cool you need to go.
Yes...it's true....the top fire ring was upside down. The boys got it out quickly for a side by side demonstration and I didn't notice until the next morning. The KYD crowd doesn't miss a thing! Love it!
In spite of COVID-19 Mother Nature put on a beautiful show this Fall all over the Northeast! I believe she was saying things WILL get better but until then enjoy my colors.
We like to make sure we keep an ongoing list of the places KYD goes. Living through their eyes once a week is a cool adventure. Hopefully we can knock off the even half of the places they’ve been.
We go to the white mountains from mass every weekend we can. One day hope to stay up there. So happy you shared this area. We bought a book this summer that talks of all the hidden swim holes. Oh my gosh we felt so lucky to go enjoy them, many times had them all to ourselves.
Years ago we acquired a washer drum from an old top loader washing machine. I wanted it for when it was windy and the campsite fire ring allowed to much wind drift of embers. However it sure works like a poor man's Solo stove. Contains the embers, some but very little smoke and more heat than a normal ground ring campfire. I'm not poor but I'd rather put my money into beer.
It’s funny how much you are enjoying the experiences we have everyday. Leaves, water over huge boulders, moss, mountain vistas, country roads. etc. Take Me Home Country Roads! WV/Appalachian mountains. Thank you for reminding us how lucky we are to live in the mountains.
Yes, the Solo Stove is smoke free! We use ours every trip - but the trim ring is upside down in the video. When turned over the air circulates properly and the flames come out of the upper holes. It’s awesome, just like your video - thanks for another beautiful adventure! 😎
I'm guessing the flames are not so high or smoke filled, since the smoke is being sucked back in for a second burn, there is less oxygen to fuel the flames... Kind of like a catalytic converter in car exhaust or a PCV valve on an engine...
We absolutely LOVE our Solo Bonfire and there is plenty of room on the Bedslide in the back of our F250! :D Like others have said, the top ring was upside down and it would have burned even better with it flipped. One Weber grill starter cube, three or four pieces of wood, and 2 minutes...PRESTO, beautiful campfire! Watching the re-burn is absolutely mesmerizing. Loved the video!
I just wanted to thank you. I had a dream of going full time but I take care of my mother, well 20 years later she is 99 and healthy and I am 75 with some health issues, every day I see my dream of RVing fade away but I live my dreams thru your journeys. So Thank You very much.
The ring on the top of the solo stove is upside down which does hinder the solo stove functioning as designed, as well as the firewood is not supposed to be above the holes on the inside rim of the solo stove. We have the 30in Yukon, and love it! There is another brand that makes a smokeless in the USA but much more $. The awesome part of having your own solo stove for fulltime rv’ing is who knows what people put in the camp fire rings at all the state parks of which the chemicals leach out every burn. With your own solo stove, you make sure nothing toxic is burned in your solo stove. Peace of mind for sure.
One of my favorite things to do while watching your videos is to play “Spot The Caleb”!!! Did anyone else Spot The Caleb in the truck side mirror?! How about the “Break dancing Caleb”? Uh huh! I pay attention!! I got my founding member E3 Camping card. So cool!!
To bad you missed the Flume and Basin. These are highlights of Franconia Notch now that The Old Man of the Mountains has passed. You will have to go back again and spend more time there. The Cog Railway and the Mount Washington Hotel are also nice to see this time of year. COVID kept us from going back home to NH from AZ but we will be back there next Sept- Oct to see the sights and visit family and friends. Enjoying your trip to New England with you.
Old man might have passed but have you been to the very cool Old Man of the Mountain Profile Plaza? Google it and you will see pictures of the ingenious way you can still see him.
We bought a Solo stove when they first came out many years ago. I stayed away from camp fires because every time I sat by one I’d wake up with a sinus infection. No more! Solo eliminated them! Love our solo
Thank you guys so much for inspiring us to chase our travel dreams. We’ve learned so much from you since making the decision to go full time. We jumped head first. Never owned an RV before but planned it out, sold our stuff, bought a truck and RV over the course of 5 months. We’ve now been on the road as full timers for a month. My wife Victoria is working as a Travel Nurse. We’ll be changing cities every couple months and are documenting the whole thing. We’re currently in Austin, TX and hope to inspire others to chase their travel dreams just like you did for us! Thank you KYD!!!
Y’all are my FAVORITE RUclips channel to follow, hands down. The content; video; family; music everything is superb! Thank y’all so much. Beautiful part of the country that we have not ridden to yet, but it’s on our bucket list for sure. Love y’all ~ Treca
I discovered your youtube channel about 4-months.ago & enjoy watching your shows. Must confess that I am totally hooked! Kaleb is quite entertaining & could easily have his own youtube channel! Maybe a teenagers prospective what it is like full-time RVing. We are making our travels plans since my recent retirement & always wanted to see the fall colors of New England. Hubby & I went to a Plant base diet 3 years ago & will never go back. We feel so much better & hubby no longer needs High blood or cholesterol medicine.
We have been following your channel for at least a year and a half now and truly love it. It always makes us want to go out with the trailer, we have a little Casita, so thank you for that. 4 weeks ago we were in Sedona camping and a young couple walked by our site and said hi. As they passed I saw the woman wearing a KYD t-shirt (Summer to remember) and was feeling like we were kindred spirits. As they got to far away, I thought I should have yelled after them and said something. I want you to know that next time I will be sure to talk to all KYD followers as I’m sure they will rave about you too. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
I'm hiding out from the virus in Sun City West AZ, so basically I'm staying home and staying safe. Thank God for you and your hard work. Your videos help me escape being stuck at home and staying safe.
Solo stoves are the only way to go, my crazy wife bought a solo for our camp trips ... I thought she was nuts to bring a fire pit camping.... we will never camp again with out one! Smokeless is priceless! We’ve now replaced our home fire ring with the yo daddy Yukon! Make the purchase Marc and Trish, you won’t be disappointed!
I love the video that popped up, Tofino, BC. We were just there. Phenomenal place that resets your soul. Love the positivity of your channel. Hi Charlie 👋😘🐾
I just ‘discovered’ your channel when you were picking up The Bird, and I have been catching up on previous videos. Love the map! It’s a game changer! Thank you for sharing your family life and your adventures. Safe travels! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I have been watching some of the older KYD videos. It is amazing how much they have improved, e.g., sound and content. Thanks for sharing your family's humor and adventures. I would love to have a Solar Stove, but lack the room in our Imagine's basement. BTW, here in Sedona it has turned cold - 35 degrees. Promised snow nowhere in sight whereas Flag got some snow at 24 degrees. Enjoy your NE trip. God Bless
One of the very last things I got to do with my Dad before he passed away was we went on a hike at the Plume Gorge and we got to view the Old Man of the Mountain about a year before it fell. Thanks for renewing my memory .
I love Trish’s excitement over the leaves- at our last campsite I kept saying how beautiful it was to watch the leaves fall into the stream! Thanks for sharing your love for Fall, and making me feel normal :) We love this season’s Airstream... that’s our daydream! :) Take Care!
Enjoyed the drive. Now that's what I call a good looking meal. Awesome hike with water running through the rocks. Loved seeing Charlie as he is so cute. Thanks and safe travels.
NH!... Born and raised and home state for 30 years... Next time you are up here let us know and me and my wife can show you all the best spots... Unfortunately you all missed so much in this beautiful state due to covid... Have to come back in the future... 😉
I also am a native, and you are so right. 2 weeks isn’t enough time to really take it all in even if you were there for each season. In Kentucky for last 20 yrs. we really miss New England. We lived in Wells River, Woodsville, Nashua and Hudson. Let it snow!
I grew up in Northern MA. The last few videos have been fun. I spent a lot of time in the places you are visiting. It was fun seeing you trying to find gas in Ayer, MA
We haul a solo fire pit in our camper, and our camper is so small that we have to store it in our shower. But it’s worth it! The only downside is that it doesn’t radiate much heat. It goes straight up. I plan on making a steel reflector to kick the heat towards us. And we use a Stomberg-Carlson grill on a stake to cook over it.
Excellent video on fall colors and scenery. I wish fall would last longer and winter is shorter! At least I can enjoy your channel all winter long viewing some warm destinations!
The Flume is always busy epsecially in summer. The railroad up MT Washington is called "The cog railroad" . If you ever go up to the top of MT Washington no matter what season you *must* have coats and warm clothes as its extremely windy up there.
You never actually appreciate all your hard work after harvesting, until you look back at the empty fields, the old farm in the midst of falls explosion of colors. I love seeing Old Country Churches in the fall too. So very much enjoyed your video.
Love that your in my home state of NH. The Cog Railroad goes up to Mt. Washington, seasonal closes in Oct. I would ski Loon Mtn. one of my favorites as well as Wildcat. Kancamagus is beautiful and No. Conway is a nice place to stop, very touristy. Enjoy your trip!
Just wanted to say we were able to meet the Dean family this year on vacation just outside of Yellowstone in June. I had my KYD hat and 2019 shirt on when he seen it and came over and introduced himself. Its was kind of funny we both were waiting on the 2020 shirts couldn’t wait for them to come. Well that’s so cool to have seen them on your show! Nice family! Now we just need to run into you all someday. Iol. Keep up the great video and safe travels!
That map and video links is so cool. We travel to National Parks and actually deferred Colorado from summer 2020 to 2021. Love that I can find where you've been including places I've yet to schedule......
Love Your KYD channel! Thanks for sharing your adventures! We have been to ME, NH and VT in the spring, such beautiful states! And the history!!!! Wow! Planing a RV trip in the fall for 3-4 weeks, after COVID settles down next year! Heading to WY for the month of June in 2021. If our farm sells before, the west will be our playground!! Fall is my favorite season!! It’s hard to wait on Sunday for your video to come pop up! Hubby knows not to bother me when I’m watching KYD! LOL 😊
We were going to give up fires - CA you see. But, thanks to your footage on the Solo, we have a new plan. Bridges - we did use one on the South side of Vermont. Actually went over, turned around and went back through with the AS. All the others were TV only. Too short or limited in weight capacity. All beautiful history. Leaves ..... depends on the location and the weather at the time. It's a plot to keep you (the tourists) coming back year after year after year. Cool place to visit. Wear your N95 mask, manage the bubble, and Roll-on!
Love fall colours. If you guys ever make your way north of Maine, into New Brunswick, you won’t regret it... Also Nova Scotia, especially the south shore. Peggys cove, etc...
Use lump charcoal on the little grill. Not briquettes as they leave lots of ash. That map is a great idea so now you can keep track of where you have been for future reference. Oh we have been there but not here. Years of traveling now I don’t know how you keep track
Hi guys! Great video! That's really pretty country! Ws there almost twenty years ago. Thanks for the memories. It really cracked me up when you mentioned Caleb's second dinner! Oh, to be young again! And thanks for the map! I discovered you guys at the end of the second season. Watched all the previous episodes, and haven't missed an episode since...
LOL! I grew up on the Kancamagus! I can do it with my eyes closed. OK, not it an RV! I love the smoke smell. Did you see The Old Man In the Mountain? The face fell off in the early 2000s. The Flume is awesome! I have a Traeger Grill, a big one, and I love it! This shows me how much I miss home! I grew up in MA. I would take a day trip in NH and just cruise the Kancamagus listening the Garth and other 90s country music. Great video guys! Come to IL and meet up with us.
Once again, beautiful scenery. I loved that Solo Stove, that thing looks amazing. And speaking of amazing.....omgosh, those ribs and that chicken.....wish we had smell-a-vision. lol Well maybe not because I definitely would have wanted some! Love seeing the fall foliage even though I have my own fall foliage. It never gets tiring! The weather looked beautiful!
Beautiful. I think of l this as jigsaw puzzle country because a favourite 2000 piece puzzle I did a few winters ago was of a small village in New England - white church and school house, red barn, a scattering of houses and lots and lots of autumn trees. Thanks for taking me to such lovely places.
Had our Solo stove for about 8 months. I would say the burn is noticeably FASTER! I go through more wood on the Solo Stove vs or open ring. One other note... the heat really only comes out the top. This means there is plenty of heat for cooking, but there isn't any lateral heat like you'd get from an open ring or shallow pit. You've got to have a blazing fire or be really close to use it for warmth. But, for ambiance, can't beat it!!! We love it! It's just not perfect at everything...
I have been using the duraflame type logs for years and won't switch back to wood. 1) you know how long the fire will be before it goes out lol- 3 hours, 4 hours, 90 min 2) far less smoke and you won't smell like a campfire 3) the heat is consistent and HOT. Two logs max will do ya for most nights. Add more if needed for larger fire show lol. As the log softens, you can spread it out around the whole pit to give even heat to everyone around the fire. You will hardly have to mess with it as it burns unlike wood 4) in a pinch, you can put out the log and easily use it the next night. 5) less space in vehicle because you need less than real wood 6) in the end, more cost effective 7) downside for full-timers, you have to know your seasons and where you can buy them at the best price. Some places carry all year long.
For campfires, using an old washing machine tub works the same way, allowing oxygen to enter the sides to stoke the fire. The smoke doesn't burn twice. The wood simply burns more efficiently because of the abundance of oxygen from the side, instead of NO oxygen from the sides in the park campfire pit.
As a kid we camped in the white mountains two years in a row. That was unheard of for my family we loved it so much and had a great time every time!! It looks the same as then which was late 60’s early 70’s. In a pop up days. Also 1 of 5 kids family of 7. 4 girls 1 boy in the middle. Brings back happy memories 😁👋🏻
I'm not sure if there are laws around US regarding keeping your furbbie on a lead, it's great that you do because once you lose them the chances of getting them back will be poor. Makes me feel happier watching your videos, wish more people in the UK would be more proactive at keeping there pets safe. Take care and stay safe all of you x
Love the map idea!! We just got back from a week in Arizona so it will be cool to see where some of the places you’ve made videos of are the same places we visited!
My wife and I love your channel so much!!! Our friends have also started watching with us and we cook dinner and watch on Sunday nights together. We might be losing our minds because we went to Virginia and Dc last week for a trip and thought we seen you all on 40 headed west why we was headed East outside of Memphis last Sunday. If not it was definitely your twin tow rig and camper 😀
Love it!
Is your model the bonfire or Yukon?
The upper ring on the solo stove is upside down lol
In spite of COVID-19 Mother Nature put on a beautiful show this Fall all over the Northeast! I believe she was saying things WILL get better but until then enjoy my colors.
Anybody else loose track of time while your watching and sigh when it’s over?!? Lol. Safe travels friends.
We like to make sure we keep an ongoing list of the places KYD goes. Living through their eyes once a week is a cool adventure. Hopefully we can knock off the even half of the places they’ve been.

We have a Solo Stove Ranger that we love so much!
Same here! A must have for us 👍
TRuly is the highlight of my Sunday to see what you post. Thanks.
Solo stove amazing! U have the ring on top inside out!
I've got a Solo Ranger and it's close to smoke free. But like Bob said, ring is upside down and that defeats the vents.
We may have to get one of those!
NH has been my main camping, road trip, family vacation spot. for over 30 years. absolutely beautiful state!!!!
Sundays aren't complete without KYD. Love this channel, seriously nice way to escape reality even for a short bit.
Love watching you guys Sunday evenings! That map video idea is genius! Definitely will be using it when we get on the road!
The map idea takes it to a whole new level for sure!
I do the exact same thing with my garbage! I always drive right by!
I just wanted to thank you. I had a dream of going full time but I take care of my mother, well 20 years later she is 99 and healthy and I am 75 with some health issues, every day I see my dream of RVing fade away but I live my dreams thru your journeys. So Thank You very much.
The different colors of the trees where stunning. What a beautiful area
Marc, my favorite part was the Trish Cam @18:19. So good. :D
So cool!!
Lol that’s funny
To bad you missed the Flume and Basin. These are highlights of Franconia Notch now that The Old Man of the Mountains has passed. You will have to go back again and spend more time there. I love picking up on your subtle throws of humor at each other
We bought a Solo stove when they first came out many years ago.
We love our solo stove! Your ring is upside down. When it is roaring the flames “boil” through the holes and it is mesmerizing!

Kancamangos byway is the funnest road to drive. And so pretty.
I would LOVE a Solo Stove!! They have a Facebook live Q&A every Friday at 2pm eastern where they give away some of their products.
I love the video that popped up, Tofino, BC. We were just there. Phenomenal place that resets your soul. Love the positivity of your channel. Hi Charlie 👋😘🐾

Beautiful fall foliage, what a beautiful November it has been in the US .
The Flume is fantastic, such a great hike.
My old stomping grounds in the 70s wow I have to say after all these yrs I dont miss the snow just the foliage in late sept !! thanks for sharing !!

The Basin is a great walk and it's free.
Great as always, I love the humor and personal aspect you put in.
Forks and Knives, one of our favorites!
We have a Solo Stove and love it! We take it on trips and use it home. It does eat wood fast though.
I love Trish’s excitement over the leaves- at our last campsite I kept saying how beautiful it was to watch the leaves fall into the stream! Thanks for sharing your love for Fall, and making me feel normal :) We love this season’s Airstream... that’s our daydream! :) Take Care!

We tent camped in Franconia Notch 2 yrs ago. Awesome hiking! Flume Gorge is worth the visit. And Polly's Pancake House is a must!!

Some of the best camping in New England. Keeps them coming back.👍👍
You never actually appreciate all your hard work after harvesting, until you look back at the empty fields, the old farm in the midst of falls explosion of colors. I love seeing Old Country Churches in the fall too. So very much enjoyed your video.
I’ll never forget when we put ours on the back and ended up bringing it alllllllll the way to church

We love it when KYD makes the RV world seem smaller. Everyone is so great.
Great episode, BUT, the map you mentioned is wicked cool! What a great resource as we make our travel plans. Love it! Thanks for doing this.
Long Long Honeymoon has a review of that fire box/pit/place. Very interesting!!
Can only imagine what Sean had to say about it, gonna hop over and watch that now, thanks for the tip, don't know how I missed it1
Happy Sunday with KYD!!
Thank you for visiting NH. The best time of the year. Now full time RVing Born and raised in NH. Thank you for the video
I’m glad you enjoyed our state! Fall is the best season!
That smokeless fire pit is awesome, especially for full time campers, and those who don't like the smoke in their face or cloths.
Trish always finds a cool hat . Love the scenery thanks again you guys
I do like the map connected to past videos - great idea!
Love my Solo Stove, and have been responsible for several friends and neighbors buying one
That map and video links is so cool. We travel to National Parks and actually deferred Colorado from summer 2020 to 2021. Love that I can find where you've been including places I've yet to schedule......
Love the fall colors! Thanks so much for chasing the colors and sharing them with us. Oh, and love my E3 coffee thermos.
Another enjoyable and scenic video.

I always wondered about those .. :) now I know what to get :) no smoke in my fire
Yup. 1/2 way thru our Tennessee trip now and loving the colors. Harvest Hosts and state parks.
Trish, I loved charred bits too.
Really cool about the map. We really do enjoy watching y’all. Ty fit sharing your journey.
I wish we had known about your channel a year ago, we live in the White Mountains of NH and would love to have seen you guys!
Nh and the kanc is my favorite places. Grew up in ri and went camping in nh every weekend in the summer
Beautiful Scenery! 🤩Luvin the music selection! 😊
If you’re talking about the train that runs up Mt Washington, it’s called the Cog
Love the map idea!! We just got back from a week in Arizona so it will be cool to see where some of the places you’ve made videos of are the same places we visited!
The Solo Stove is the best investment for RV'ing. We bring ours with us every time. Next time flip the top fire ring over next time.
The map is a great add. Looking forward to giving it a try.
