ℹ️ About the episode:
In this episode, we RV to Stowe Vermont and get a site at the last RV Park (and the last site) due to the season. It was 100% unlevel and provided a good opportunity to share that sometimes the setup process takes a bit longer than expected. If you're an RV newbie, you might beat yourself up, but don't... it just happens sometimes. Trish found the GyPSy Guide audio tour for the RT100 in Vermont. It was a great way to explore the windy road with plenty of stops along the way! Of course, the real treat is what Charlie left for us upon returning to the Airstream!

So, I smiled, laughed, chuckled, and shook my head for 25 minutes and 53 seconds!
Marc: I’ve worn this hat all this time and it still looks new!
Charlie: I can fix that!
Right !!!
LMAO
Laughed so hard over Charlie's deposit and that whole ordeal. Who can't identify? Just catching your reactions on camera - priceless! Love you guys!
Laughing 😂 so hard. Mostly because it didn’t happen to me.
I almost dry heaved just imagining it. 😂
Million dollar T Shirt idea. Simple quote...
"That's it. I'm going shopping!"
-Trish-
I love that!
"That's it. You're going shopping!" Charlie
I would buy it😂😂
Now that was funny. Marc couldnt get down those stairs fast enough.
Between Caleb’s water ballet, Charlie’s unfortunate redecorating efforts, and Mark’s rapid stair descent, I laughed out loud. Thank you for allowing us to share in the type of moments that bedevil all of us at one time or another and are really only funny after the fact. You guys really do have a wonderful attitude. Hope Charlie felt better.
I cried laughing when Caleb almost went for a swim lol
Same!
Me too!! I was like he's gonna make it!! He's gonna make it....Nope lol!
“ I just found poop on my hat” 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Never laughed so hard at an episode!
All dog owners can relate! Thanks for keeping it real!
Laughed out loud on this one. Poor Charlie. Happens to all dog lovers everywhere!
100%. 😂
What makes your family so great? It is your attitude and sense of humor. Thanks for setting an example for the RV KYD community.
Love how Caleb started to get up and said "Nope!" and went back to sleep. Your reaction to Charlie's thoughtful gift was priceless. Was laughing so hard I was crying.
Bahahaha....Caleb had me lol 😂 “Oh great, ya know what’s better than sitting in silence...listening to a museum! 👍🙌🤙
The Charlie bit had me crying. 😂 Also, Caleb's river walking.
He got damp but he didn't fall!
O yeah! Charlie’s episode eclipsed that moment from my memory! That made me laugh too.
Same here! I was rolling! And then...."Blurred for your protection" OMG so funny!
An audio/ video feast that feels like two minutes max. As great as the music was. The church bells ringing in such a place are fantastic.
Pro Tip: When cleaning up bad smeels, put some vix vapor rub under your noise.
Caleb's valiant effort to avoid getting his feet wet was hysterical! America's funniest-home-videos-worthy.
The most enjoyable episode yet. We've all had events like that, in which all you can do is laugh. Isn't life great.
I'm dying here. First Caleb in the stream had me in hysterics - he's such a wonderful young man - and then Charlie! You have to keep a sense of humor when you have kids and dogs.
It's all 110V, you're mixing Volts & Amps. The std ext cord is usually 15A or sometimes 20A (both 110V).
Yep, I cringe when RV'ers mix 120 VAC 15 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp power sources and not fully understand what they are working with. And understanding 50 amp is 240 VAC so that adds an additional layer of confusion.
We have been following you since the beginning. We would love to hear an update on Torie and Carson. We miss both of them, and we would love to hear how they are doing.
Charlie’s poopie blowout had me in tears. It reminded me of the time my three little girls threw up within minutes of each other all over the living room carpet. Trish you were a trooper!!!
We really live in a beautiful country. Every time I think you’ve captured the most beautiful footage your next video comes out.
Can we take a moment to remember Marc's hat.
So much for the hat that lasted one year and looked so good!
That was a real video. You guys are not afraid to show the raw truth. Lovin it.
We were married 27 years ago in my husbands home state of Connecticut. We honeymooned through Vermont on the way to Niagara Falls in October. So this video was very nostalgic. Thanks for the tour.
This is fantastic! I just adore watching the affluent doing their reality tour vacation holiday thing….
Fancy footwork Caleb , but Charlie takes the award. Your wife needs more than a shopping trip . A relaxing spa day.🦮💩💆🏼♀️💅🏻
I laughed so hard at Caleb's acrobatics then at Marc's stumble down the stairs, oh my poor Charlie. But most of all poor Trish who had to clean up the mess. Great video once again!!
You all make the blues music colorful, joyful and “earthy brown” 😂
We have camped in Vermont many times. Smugglers notch is a great place. It has been completely improved since our first time in the late 70s so it’s not as much of a challenge. Hope to go back in 22.
Never had the dog problem and very clear about it.
The whole 💩 seen is so relatable to a lot of us. Always have to watch the inhaling when cleaning up, I was cracking up with Trish and her comment that she briefed it in. 😂
We laughed so hard at the Charlie experience. We can so relate! LOL. Now that it is getting to be Christmas tree time, it makes us remember a time that one of our cats loved to slurp the silver icicle strands of tinsel off our Christmas tree which led to a not so nice treat for us on the other end if you know what we mean, LOL.
Wife and I rolling with laughter over Charlie .
We are finally catching up with past episodes- so exciting to watch you tour my old stomping grounds in Vermont and then hear one of the music tracks in the background- our friends performed one of those tracks! So cool-
Freakin’ AWESOME guys!! I love when I’m so wrapped up in your vids and then all of a sudden it’s over and it feels like only a few minutes have gone by!
So excited for my first KYD beanie!!! before we head out on our new adventure! We are going FULL-TIME TRAVEL/RV in a MONTH with our boys!!!! And this KYD beanie is going to keep me motivated and we can't wait!
The Church surrounded by beautiful fall colors, was my favorite.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE covered bridges too. The town we live in has the oldest covered bridge in Northeast Ohio's Cleveland area. If you are ever in NE Ohio, there's tons of cool places to stop. Mike's Place is an awesome little restaurant in Kent. Chagrin Falls is a beautiful outdoorsy stop. And if you guys like Kayaking and stuff, the Mohican River is kinda still in the NE part of Ohio. It's a blast, and dogs are very welcome to join you on the water.
Hope you guys are having a good time. Stay safe! Thank you for all your videos!
Marc, they're *all* 110. My wife kept saying "15" (amps) whenever you said 110. :)
You should have stopped at Cabot Creamery just outside of Montpelier. Lots of yummy cheese to sample and buy.
Charlie, the creative pooper, lol. He was so excited to share it with you!
Oh such fond memories! I lived in northern Vermont. We took all visitors to Stowe. The gondola ride on Mount Mansfield and the best bike path Is on the. Mountain Road too. Cheese, the Cabot factory tour and store is awesome! Plus in Burlington, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Lake Champlain Chocolates and church Street. In St. Johnsbury, Maple Grove Farms….oh I miss it.
You know Charlie was miserable before the accident. Poor dog.
One reason to be grateful that “Smell-o-vision” does not exist! 😂🤣😂💩💩💩
I’m binge watching every episode..... First thought was EXACTLY that “What about Smell-O-vision NOW, ma’am??? 🤣🤣🤣
Born and raised in NH and VT. Absolutely love watching your family enjoy the great north! Thank you for sharing your adventures! Take care and safe travels
So glad that you came this close to home! Only 1 hour from us like to visit that region but with pandemic this year we could not pass the border so thanks and stay safe!👍🇨🇦
I USUALLY (darn Covid!) camp at Winhall Brook Campground near South Londonderry VT with a group of friends each fall. A stop at Grandma Miller’s Bakery is a must on the way to The Vermont Country Store and The Village Store in Weston. The VERMONT Country Store has everything from clothing, kitchen gadgets, toys, to candy and food samples. Marc would be sure to find a puzzle-or 6!-from the hundreds available at the Village Store across the street. Both have a FABULOUS collection of cheeses!
Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
Oh my goodness but this was a classic one....we are all you at one time or another......oh lordy but this cracked me up and Trish's excitement over the app and shopping was hilarious. Just like all of us people
I’m laying in bed laughing so hard I may no be able to sleep. Every time I think of Caleb’s river dance to Charlie’s stinky poop, it starts all over. I can hardly write this. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everytime I watch their videos I say to myself thank God I’m an American. God this country is so beautiful 😍❤️🇺🇸
I just bought the Gypsy Guide to Great Smokey Mountain National Park after watching this video this morning. We arrive at Great Smokey tomorrow so perfect timing for us to see your video and learn about Gypsy Guide. Thanks!
Cleaning that "event" just cracked me up!
Me too...we have a large dog too so can relate all too well.🤣🤣
Miss Tricia, I definitely would have needed retail therapy after that round of poop patrol. OMG I my hubby would have reacted just like your hubby. Gagging the whole time and going OH MY DOG. And giving me moral support. Better to laugh than to cry. Poor Charlie. He had tummy troubles.
As a Vermonter, great job highlighting the Vermont experience. Nailed it! Thank you. Been putting money into tins and wooden slots for produce/eggs/cheese/baked goods all my life. Made me smile.
Oh my gosh! Charlie! lol. Great episode guys. I feel your pain with the poop. That area so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along!
We loved Stowe & all the stunning scenery & covered bridges!! Best thing to do on a rainy day is tour the local farms & factories...apple cider, cheese, ice cream, maple syrup...samples are a delicious treat too! Poor Charlie...or should I say Trish!!! LOL
Caleb so makes me chuckle and smile. Love his youthful enthusiasm. You all are very blessed!
Charlie didn’t seem to mind? In fact, he looked relieved! Pun intended.
OMG! Anyone who is a dog owner can completely identify. Good job at holding it together. 🤣
You should put a bell 🛎 pull you can put on the door so that he can tell you when he needs to go a d every time he asks and does his business give him a treat. I have had several service dogs and this works excellent especially when things are crazy busy. But he only gets a treat if he potties when he asks. And having him go first then get a walk reward is another way to do positive reinforcement.😀 It’s possible he just had an upset stomach and it snuck up in him. Hope this helps
I used to jump off that covered bridge when I was much younger!
Now we know: KYD equals Kennel Your Dog! Thanks so much for sharing that, I think.
I know that was bad. But I’m sure Charlie feels much better. I’m glad you did not have carpet. Mark, your hat will survive. Lol maybe. I’m glad you where in my state and enjoyed it!!! Love to you all!!
A Vermont memory for sure😂. The joy of traveling with our beloved pets.
My stomach actually hurts from all the laughing. I've not laughed like that in a long time.
I just want to say Thank You KYD for turning a cold wet afternoon in England into the best day of the Year.
I'm sure this will go down in History as the Great Poop incident of 2020 !!!
Looks like I won't be the only one ordering a new hat, Marc. Ha! Great episode as always
Welcome to my life. I got a new puppy in Sept and my other dog was so upset about a new puppy he had the Hershey squirts for 10 days including 2 accidents on my bed! Poor Charlie.
I guess the youtube algorithm put your video on my feed because I live in Stowe. Its pretty cool to actually see a tourists footage and experience of their trip to stowe and especially driving up through my neck of the woods. I had to pause it and rewind a few times because it looks like my truck when you were coming through the small covered bridge after the goat farm. Anyways, yall look like a great family and I wish you the best!
While you should never use your stabs to lift the camper, they are perfectly fine for holding the camper up while you reset your electric jack onto a higher block. Then retract the stabs and put additional blocks under those. I've stayed at camp grounds where sites were on a big angle. I checked with the office and a guy came by with three cinder blocks. Worked great. You can't stop all accidents with dogs but you can sure cut it to a minimum by only feeding them dog food, dog bones and water. The same amount at the same time, everyday. Never, never (and I mean ever) give your dog table scraps or people food. It'll be better for you, your pet and your camper.
Marc, the power cord and adapters piece was well done. Thanks. In addition, every dog parent can empathize with you guys. That's likely what most are going to remember from this episode. Stay safe.
I'm surprised there was no sign saying to *honk* as you pass through the bridge.
In fact, when I was growing up, it was the tradition to *close your eyes* and honk!
It is an ancient tradition with a superstition that it would bring good fortune to all.
In reality, it alerts traffic coming from the other direction that you are on/in the bridge.
Trish you are a woman of Sparta 😲🙌🏽. Caleb I felt that cold river water 💦 all the way over here 🤣🤣. Marc the photography is on 🎯 enjoying it sooo much
Laughed so hard.....Best episode yet!
Thank you for showing it real with Charlie! Crap happens, when you have a dog!! Loved the beautiful scenery and the covered bridges. Thank you for sharing the adapters for getting hooked up to electrical. Happy camping ⛺️
Mark is in his element with all those cables it's like his version of an RV cable jigsaw!
Our neice gave our dog raisins, poor Freckles went through our whole house and all around the family room level looking for a way outside. There was poop EVERYWHERE. It took me over two hours to clean up. Not a small I'll ever forget. The airstream is a blessing and a curse. :)
I don't think we have ever laughed so hard as we have a dog that has left us wretching. Love you guys
Dogs and kids... both can be explosive at times... thanks for the giggles. What a lovely area!
Bicycling Vermont and Stowe were on our bucket list. So glad we did it last year. Beautiful state and lovely people. Can’t wait to get back with the RV. OMG Charlie! 😂😂😂 brings back memories of traveling with a 9 week old puppy.
Poor Charlie, it happens and we've all come home to it.
Poor Charlie. I get the gag reflex. And poor Tricia. Having to clean up the stuff. Bless your pea pickin hearts. OMG. By the way love your content. Have a great day. And you definitely need some retail therapy after that. I know I would.
As always, what a treat on Sunday night. But Marc needs to brush up on electrical terminology. You have 20 amp, 30amp and 50amp adapters, but they are all 110 or 120 VAC. (Some will argue 50amp plug ins are 220VAC) Love your show none the less. Hans
This was a roller coaster ride. Nearly falling in the water but he saves it, lol........but the end, omg......the one thing noone wants to happen. (And we have two standard size dogs) I don't want to even imagine.
Noticed how much Charlie was pulling you on the hiking trail (17:43) - if you are back in AZ, we can help you on loose leash walking with him...
I have lived in New England my whole life. I have to say that fall is my favorite time of year. It always has been. And you just love it when your dog does something gross where they should not!!
Gettysburg has an audio tour app. It's priceless.
The entire epic journey.. and all we'll remember is the Great Charlie Blowout..
I actually realized I was plugging my nose, LOL it must come from having had that experience in an RV before!
Wow! Vermont is just as lovely as I imagined 🍂🌲🍃🍁
the editing is officially professional
Trish is cracking me up with the Charlie cleanup! 😊 Charlie seemed very happy having got all that out of his system.
Wait Caleb was there and sleeping when that happened 😳. Oh he would be the one to clean it on that fact alone.
And did Caleb sleep through Charlie bugging to go out to potty?
Been with you from the start, purchased the rig in 2018 . In 2019 spent winter in the west, 2021 was the start for full time, Now my parents health has taken a turn and i feel responsible for them as now my full time rving has turned into staying on their property to assist them for the remainder. So i decided to make the move and attemp to purchase a campground in the area of mt pleasant and traverse city michigan. basically for a retirement income and also to bring the rv life to me as well as all the good people it seems to bring with it. was truly hoping to run into you on the road somewhere, you have alot to offer in my opinion you seem very friendly, and that adds up to a very big boost in confidence and positive self esteem . Thank you Marc and Trish
This video was as natural as normal can be while camping! Had me laughing out loud, so glad no one got hurt! Even charley didn’t get in trouble!
The poop scene was my favorite!!! I’ve been there, what can you do but laugh& don’t breathe through your nose!!!💩
LMBO. He was DANCING IN THE CREEK 🎶. And yes gaggggged with Charlie’s gift...😂
LOL Trish's reward... I'm going shopping!!!
Great video ! I really thought Caleb had it! So glad Marc didn't break something getting down those stairs! Tris your beautiful face! ADORABLE!
Such a good video...fun! I had my honeymoon in Stowe, many years ago. True story...they had a sign by the road that read "DIP IN ROAD". I tried to get my new husband to stand in front of the sign for a picture, but he could not see the humor of it. I thought it was very funny...lol!
I've sure enjoyed your videos of New England. Lived in the White Mtns. of New Hampshire for 18 years. Loved the Maine coast and Bar Harbor area. Dream big, right?
We hate when we have high tongue jack issues too. We carry extra blocking so we can crib the tongue. Raise it, block it, add blocks to jack and repeat. At least Caleb had shoes on when he made his splash. Poor Charlie. Didn't he get his morning walk??
Years ago I had a ski house just off RT100 in Waitsfield VT. A lot of great memories from that area.
Got a great big laugh out of the Charlie incident...lol
CHARILE!!!!!!!!!! LOL, what we don't do for our beloved dogs! Bravo, Trish! And, Marc you flew down those stairs! Caleb love your water step stone balancing act :)
Oh I absolutely love Vermont!! Stunning
I love your family and all your wit! You guys are so much fun
Oh the music is FABULOUS too so good
