Chose the P16 for the same reason you did. Though the head is a bit too bulbous for EDC on a daily basis. Plus, really wish the clip was mounted similarly to the P17 and P18. The low-profile clip on the P16 just makes it annoying to draw from a pocket, if you need your light in a hurry. Also, it's unnecessary. The P17 and P18 are clearly duty-sized lights. Wish there was another P model. Basically a P16 with a narrower bezel, traditional reflector for a good combination of Throw and Flood. And, take that clup, mount it lower like on the P17 and P18. The perfect compact EDC true tactical light. Honestly, really hope someone at Acebeam sees this comment and borrows my idea.
P17 has served me unbelievably well over the last two years. Never have had a single issue. The size of the head is perfect . I have XL hands and I love the 17 because you shed size and weight without sacrificing grip size and comfort. (Ok u loose 100 lumens compared to the 18; wow, you gain additional utility, portability, and charge speed. Plus you save 20-30 dollars depending on where you buy when including tax. Buy a mid high end to low high end portable charger with the savings . ) Best for comfort, carry, and practicality. Plus the bezel rim gives me more utility. Hands down the p17 as a tactical, edc car tool, or camping light is number one. Not close but I’m bias.
Got the P16 shortly after your video and love it. It’s become my new edc even over my Nitecore p23i. Just go the P17 today, still like the P16 more.kinda wish the light could had better runtime on the medium mode. Thanks for the great advice one acebeam.
I'm loving the 18 I've never been a big fan of the TIR optic. I would just rather have an LEP But this p18 is a freakin beasr! Thank you for this comparison bro! I'm digging your channel✌
Love your review mate! It's insane how quickly the p16 and p17 step down to high. A few seconds on turbo is all you get. Quite a deal breaker if you ask me. The big head and four (lower intensity) LEDs on the p18 are way more efficient in keeping the temperatures low. If I had to choose based on the build of the flashlight and beam profile, I would go for the p17. If I choose purely based on functionality, I would go for the p18. It is strange they did not add lanyard holes to the heavier p18, while the p17 does have them. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it) the p17 is not available in the Netherlands. So I guess I will go for the p18. :)
I ordered the P16 for an EDC light. Won't be here for a few days. Itching to get it. The P17 seems like the best choice if youre going to carry it on your belt. If you live somewhere rhat heavily regulated weapons, then the P18 would probably be the best choice.
I just got this one as well as the fenix pd35r. Only problem is ones a gift and I can't decide which to keep. They're both great with pros and cons between them.
I think the P17, easier to pocket and has better CRI. Out of interest can the P18 act as a power bank like the battery in the P17? Thanks for taking the time to do this and top review. 👍
Gor the p17. 1Lumen review shows that 17 and 18 same lumens and runtimes, but 18 has 100m more throw. But it's big bezel takes this flashlight to another category, with more powerful competitors, IMHO...
Seeing as I already have a long range light I would get the P18 specifically for the extra flood lighting
Bought the p16 after watching your video about it. I absolutely love it, it's my favourite 18650 light I own for sure. Keep up the good work dude 👍
Thanks heaps mate! So glad you found a great light for you. It's a bloody beauty the P16. Cheers!

Hey buddy, love AceBeam. I may of already mentioned I've got the P17. The other 2 look great as well.
Anyways, love the show, respect, take care = )

Thanks for the comment man. Really appreciate it. Glad you like the light.
Which seems to be brighter? P23i or the p16
@@07freshkid70 p23i probably. But the P16 is still crazy bright thanks to the TIR optic lense
@@flashlightcrazy Thank you so much! Keep up the amazing content
Just got the p17 but definitely getting the p18 soon
Great lights man! Good choice
There's a simple test to compare hot spots.Just put them side by side and then move one hot spot inside the other hot spot.

They should have put the glass breakers on the p18 ya know?
Thanks man, Appreciate the support

Enjoy the p18 mate. Brilliant piece of technology

I love acebeam one of my favourite brands ❤️
Acebeam hav really got there act together when it comes to quality 😊

I want all of them!
I hear you man!

Not to my knowledge, mate. Sorry I didn't include that in the video.
Thanks for your support, too!

True. The P17 also doesn't get as hot as quick.
any opinions on acebeam compared to fenix? in over all build quality? machining, lens, reflector thread quality ect. thanks
I like them both. Build quality i would say Acebeam has it over Fenix. And UI as well. But Fenix has bloody awesome lights.
Love this review! Thank you
Thanks for watching bro. Appreciate the support
I've watched this video 20 times. I want both ...17 first 16 second...but I would use both of them daily.
What about the L35 v1 ?
@@ShouldaWaved I'll pass
Can you make a video with outside beam shots of all weltool heads?
Yep, I will. Give me a few days and i'll get onto it.
@@flashlightcrazy thanks brother. Keep up the great videos.
@@p3ps1FTW No worries, thanks for the request.
What temperature does p18 reach after 1 minute of turbo
I will have to double check for you but it is very very hot
i actually prefer thats p16 cause its small simple to carrying anywhere, and thats hotspot small like thrower flashlight ;))
That's my preference as well!
P17 ftw!
Why choose these if they heat up fast??
6:32 So this is a biology channel too? Great 😄
Hahaha yeah tune in next week to see if they both made it haha
