- In this video I compare my ROG Strix 3080Ti and RX 6800XT against one another in Ghost of Tsushima paired with a Ryzen 5900XT PC. It becomes quite the battle.

Buying an rx 6800xt for 280$ was one of the wisest investments I've done
My brother got one in a prebuilt during crypto boom the 6800 xt was the same price as rtx 3070 in the same build lol.
It's such a great GPU.
$300 for 1080ti back in 2018 during miners panic sell.
$320 for 6800xt in 2023
nearly 6 years with 1080ti, im not sure how long will 6800xt last with these unoptimized games fiasco.. but once ue5 becomes the new norm, i would be getting rx 9000 series or rtx 6000 series
Love how many frames you get from FSR 3 Frame gen even at 4k. If they can get FSR 3.1 looking good and get in more games then along with the frame gen it's a great option for AMD users and even older gen Nvidia users.
Look at the power draw. How the tables have turned on the 40 and 7000 series lol
Really wished 6800xt was available back then, however mining craze happened and only overpriced thing available was 10gig 3080, which supposed to be a match for 6800 xt, but it's amd finewine tech, now it matches 3080 Ti
in this game, that generally performs better on amd gpus
Mining ruined what was a pretty good GPU generation, ad the pandemic on top the demand was through the roof.
6800xt is going to go down as one of the GOATs alongside the 1080ti in the GPU hall of fame.

Does all the PS4 and PS5 exclusive coming to PC have an AMD advantage or does it depend on games ?
They have had an AMD advantage except for Ratchet and Clank with RT enabled and Sackboy's Big Adventure.
Yes AMD gpus that are equivalent to their nvida counterparts mostly do better in the PlayStation games probably due to their architecture because ps5 is RDNA2 based and AMD gpus from RDNA 2 and up are mostly the same, but still it’s kinda crazy that the 6800XT is getting the same and better preformace than a 3080TI in GOT
It really depends on the game. Last of us a ps5 version runs better on Nvidia gpus. Spider clearly favors Nvidia. Days gone also on Nvidia side. So it's really depends on the title.

this game was made and opimalized for AMD gpus, this is perfect game to play if you have AMD Gpu
I recommend it on any GPU it runs quite well.
I think you might be better off with the x3d (7800x3d or 5800x3d ) chip to test these powerful gpus .
At 3:01 the fps difference during frame gen is due to DLSS vs FSR being used as the upscaler. On my 3080, using FSR3 Upscaler + Framegen gives it very close performance to the 6800xt there
Using DLSS seems to lower the total fps when using frame generation on both Ampere and Ada cards. It's not FSR working better on AMD cards, it's DLSS not scaling with AMDs frame generation
OK I guess that makes sense. Good to know. I should've probably tried that but I dont get to look at these differences in detail until I compare the footage.
All good. At least you can now test this on future FSR3.1 titles where FG is decoupled from upscaler
Might be interesting to observe how other games behave when FG is used with DLSS. Both XeSS and FSR upscaler seemingly gives more FPS with FSR FG
This may also be Reflex + DLSS related and a Reflex deep dive may be required. Probably a lot more to discuss and it's interesting to note Reflex + DLSS can influence FSR FG.
At the end it all comes to devs optimization

Usually the 3080 ti is faster than a 6900xt or even 6950xt especially at 4k. This game is really one of the exceptions.

@@UKKNGaming It really is. Sure thing is that 6800xt is slower than a 3080 ti and that is a fact. If you don't accept it you are clearly a fanboy. Class wise the 3080 ti is on par with 6900xt. But because it has great 4k capabilities it can beat 6950 xt in several games. In some it loses and some other wins so they basically trade blows. 6800xt competes with the normal 3080
@@RTX4080SUPERGAMING yes 3080 ti is better than 6800 xt in 4k . Nevertheless 6950 is slightly faster than 3080 ti in 4k . 6950 xt is equivalent to 3090 .
@@brasiliafc2138 3090 is 2 % faster than a 3080 ti but it has more vram. An overclocked 3080 ti or aftermarket can beat a 3090 in some scenarios. We are talking about very small differences. All those cards in general are very close in performance. 3090 ti only can stand a little but still a 3090 ti is barely 7 -10 % faster than a 3080 ti.
That's why all nivida employees say TIE for T.I. cards =)
