  • Assalamualaikum!
On September 30th 2021, my son celebrated his 100th day with a traditional Japanese event called "Okuizome".
Okuizome is a ceremony held after 100 days to celebrate a new baby's birth.
In this ceremony, the baby is made to pretend to eat a meal with parents' hope that this baby would never have to worry about food during a lifetime.
The menu for Okuizome differs slightly from region to region, but generally includes grilled whole red snapper, red rice, clear soup with a shell, simmered food, vinegared vegitable or seafood.
I'll be sharing the recipe for Okuizome meal in another video.
