ah yes, I guess being 2 times rally world champion and 3 times Dakar winner only makes you a "pretty decent rally driver"
Sainz Senior is a legend of rallying.
pretty decent
Intentional understatement, methinks…👍
perhaps he's a tommi makinen fan
Sarcasm
And just 24 hours after this video was released , He got a pole position 🔥🔥🔥
UPDATE: he got his win 🏅 too
Carlos and Sainz literally saved McLaren
Carlos Sainz Jr. is a pretty interesting one...He is not the fastest driver there, he was slower than Norris on most occasions, slower than Leclerc, yet finished in front of them in all three occasions. He was top six for three seasons in a row driving a machinery that was seldom podium standard. That's all that matters in Formula 1...the results. It's also worth noticing that Carlos was off slowly in all of these seasons and built up momentum as the season went on, which looks to be the same in 2022. Imma say this before the British GP race, so big jinx, but we saw good performances in Monaco and Canada, now a pole position in Britain, showing he is getting more comfortable. He is definitely a great driver, and he has my full support, he is a lovely man. Will he ever be WDC? Difficult to say. When you have a winning car it's difficult to win if you are marginally slower. You need to be very consistent and beat your teammates more than just once...If you finish behind him when you are 5th and 7th you lose four points... Then you may score a podium elsewhere and suddenly you make up all the ground. If you finish behind them when you are 1st and 3rd, you lose 10...Do that for two or three races and even If you beat him once, you remain so far back. That's why we saw him so much further behind compared to Leclerc than last season in the standings up until now
You are right, he keeps building the momentum, and now he has won the British GP (Granted he wasn't the fastest on track). You are also right about him losing less points in the midfield compared to now that he is fighting in the front. He really needs to start putting phenomenal performances to show that he has it in him to win a WDC. This year it's not possible as max will run away with the championship now, but for 2023 2024 he needs to be up there and prove he can do it.
Amazing how in just 9 days so much can change. Here you are wondering if Carlos will ever win and also saying Haas need to look at replacing Mick. Fast forward to just after Austria and Carlos has win and should’ve gotten P2, and Mick is looking very strong in the midfield
He probably would have won Austria. Max and Charles both had issues with their car. Until the fire Carlos was catching up, it would stand to reason that the gap would get smaller pretty fast.
This was made 2 days before Carlos Sainz won for the first time
Man’s is out here titling his vids like josh revel.
6:22 1 of the DNFs were his fault. First one in Imola, where he was shunted by Danny Ric (Not on purpose, but still) and the 2nd one in Baku with a Hydraulic failure
Your style of videos is unique, keep it up!
"Carlos didnt win a race" 2 days later: AND CARLOS SAINZ WINS THE BRI'ISH GRAND PRIX
Imagen someone who used to watch F1 from 2000-2008 awakes from Coma. Hearing about Sainz who was driving for Renault, McLaren and Ferrari but then he sees that he only has 1 win.
Here after he’s on pole at Silverstone
Carlos was the most competitive teammate Max had in F1
What about Dani Ric?
bro forgot ricciardo beat verstappen in 2016 and 2017
@@TMWF1
Only in terms of points.
damn thats crazy what else is he meant to beat ricciardo in? fans?@@quentinhirschfeld9382
The curious case of Dr Leclerc and Mr Sainz
Happy for Carlos finally getting a W, I don’t personally think he’s one of the elite drivers but he’s extremely consistent and great in his days.
Imo the elite drivers are Hamilton, Verstappen, Leclerc & Alonso, then tier two has Carlos, Lando, George, and so on
@@miggygetright6344 not alonso anymore. He’s still a quality driver but he’s not actually consistent enough. He has momentary flashes of brilliance, a view of the old fernando, then gets outperformed by young drivers. He isn’t top of the grid anymore.
He's like Perez, a great driver but someone who'll more than likely never get close to winning a title.
@@Walden-jx4mi Nah Alonso is still top tier. Put him in a Red Bull or Ferrari and he'd be fighting for a title.
@@stpbasss3773 100%, I think Fernando in this Ferrari would have more points than Leclerc easily
And now he WON 🌶❤️🔥
Also only 1 of the DNFs was his fault
This aged well 😂
And now he has got the win!!
Great video, always entertaining!
Great video ☺️ Also, yeah, it is sad the amount of bad luck Carlos had this season. 😔
I think one DNF was on him. I think Ricciardo was more at fault at Imola. The Australian weekend was tough for him. Got caught out during qualifying, needed a new steering wheel just before the race, got caught out because of it during the start, got overeager and crashed.
the DNF in Imola is Danny's Fault, the fact that most fans him bcuz he wants to be called ricky bobbie or so , Carlos is disciplined to his passion of F1
Australia was his hard luck
but one dnf was on him due to pressure
Mick heard that comment and genuinely activated God mode
love the upbeat style of the video! very engaging and entertaining
thank you!!
I really do hope that Carlos gets a really good seat for next year and a fantastic contract. Great driver and great person!
Production & audio quality has improved greatly over the past few weeks. Keep it up!
trying my best
You’re sleeping on Mick, last few races look very promising for him and Kmag
Carlos Sainz reminds me of Nick Heidfeld if Nick made better decisions. Thinking, strategic & an intuitive knowledge of when to pounce.
Nick Heidfeld > Carlos Sainz.
Heidfeld was a driver with soft inputs, amazing race-craft and very fast over one lap.
You deserve so many more views, you have the production quality of a full time professional youtuber!
trying my best haah
bloody brilliant vid, facts,presentation.... we share the same f1 intellect and knowledge, brilliant vid mate,, im gna introduce alot of mates to ur channel...
I think he was the cause of one of his DNFs (Australia), but not the other two (Imola hit by Ricciardo, Baku mechanical issue). I’m hoping that his P2 in Canada gives him some confidence in himself and his performance in the 2022 car. I also noticed that many were quick to jump on the bandwagon of trash talking him. In Spain, when the gust of wind cause his rear wheels to lift and him to spin into the gravel trap, the F1 announcers were all over his until Max had the same happen in the next lap. I think Mick has had some of the same issue this year…a little too in his own head for his own good. I’m hoping that he’ll get a few points pretty soon. I think Carlos has the capacity for some race wins in him, but I think the WDC is out of his reach this year. In future years, who knows? There are a lot of extremely good drivers on the grid now .
I was SHOCKED by how stark the contrast of the commentators! Carlos did it and it was all his fault, but then Max did it in the same corner, and "Oh, I guess there must be something odd abut that corner. They should have that checked out." And I say this as a Carlos AND Max fan.
@@ISing2Liv1142 to be honest as also a Carlos fan and a Dutch person (which kind of automatically makes me a max fan too). Max hasn’t made a single mistake at that point in the season, while Carlos already made a few mistakes, so it wasn’t to crazy to think that
nice vid
Well, I really think Carlos is a.... a.... SMOOOOTH OPERATOR ! :P
This aged well!
He is my 55. Supporting him always. And Perez! The underdogs always !
Carlos is basically the anti-Ricciardo
*Proceeds to win the very next race*
Good video 👌🏻 Chilli is an unassuming guy but brilliant driver it's gonna be close between him and Charles...Forza Ferrari
This aged beautifully!
1:41 The “What?” is almost trademark at this point. 😄
haha
To state that Mick isn’t doing so great, after Montreal and the Bad Luck he had this season, plus the car he had last year, seems a bit harsh to me.
But everyone their Opinion.
Other than that, great vids and very good style of speaking!
thank you felix!
Mick has literally crashed and cost his team more than anyone else both last year and this year (Mazegoat included)
I appreciate them McLaren hat man
CARLOS NOW AN F1 WINNER 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
5:38 maybe Daniel had something to do with that aswell 🤷♂️
Carlos sainz is my favorite
this aged well :)))
0:14 underwhelming meaning the best gravel spreader in the business
By the way hate to Carlos Sainz Junior he’s actually one of my favourites
@@Mmmmn520 i love all the gravel memes, and he is my favourite lol. I think he loves these memes too.

Toro rosso is a good place to train youngsters. Carlos Pierre Alex Max are all good drivers who knows how to make strategies and not afraid out opinions 😊
dude!!! have a litle respect, Carlos Sainz Sr "pretty decent" ???? wtf, He has won DAKAR not once not twice, but 3 times!!!! thats not pretty decent thats a fucking achivement!!!!
And won 2 Rallies world championship
Torro rosso used ferrari engine in 2015
And what problem do you have with max??
One of the many few drivers?
Mick Schumacher isn't doing great, is he?
That aged well.
sainz sr wasn't just a decent rally driver. You don't get to be world champion twice whiile being just average or decent, you have to be really, really good at it. He was one of the biggest names in wrc in the 90's. The way you mentioned him made it sound like he was an average driver from the midfield of wrc. in fact, Sainz sr was better in rally than sainz jr is in F1. There's literally no chance of sainz jr ever becoming world f1 champion (he's simply not at that level), while his father won the world rally championship twice. if sainz jr were as good in f1 as his dad wwas in rally, he would be fighting for the world championship
Sainz Sr is one of the greatest drivers ever as far as i'm concerned.
I think Carlos will best Charles this season
we shall see haha
Mick isn't doing well? Wtf he's p6
Hulkenberg scored 69 to sainz's 53? Hulkenberg also did that off 7 retirements to Sainz's 2? Sainz was pretty far off Hulkenberg. If you are talking about 2017, the 4 races where they were in the same car, Hulkenberg scored 9 points to Sainz's 6.
Hulkenberg crashed in Baku and provoked a havoc in Belgium, 2 of his 7 retirements were his fault.
You can include Abu Dhabi 2018 where he slammed the door on Grosjean.
Sainz had 1 huge mechanical DNF (Mexico, would've finished 6) + car damage in Russia which costed him P7.
Renault nico had 7 dnfs compared to sainz 2 in 2018 and he was still far ahead
Except 2 of Nico's 7 DNF were his fault.
Also, Hulkenberg often had mechanical failures in races he was nowhere or was about to pick small amount of points, while Sainz had 2 huge DNF, one in Mexico (would've finished P6) and one in Russia.
"Mick Schumacher isnt doing too great" that aged poorly
you lost the chance to name this video the Odd-yssey of carlos sainz instead :P
haha
Dudes probably a DTS fanboy. Man said Carlos Sainz SR is decent.
evidently i wasn’t sarcastic enough haha
I wouldn't want to be a Ferrari driver
(For obvious reasons)
he is not elite driver in my opnion
my elite drivers are max lewis charles alonso and vettel and george and lando might be there but they havent proven yet
carlos is mid tier for me
2:28 69 noice
obnoxious music
I think his Ferrari struggles are simply him being in a top car when he isn’t a top driver like leclerc or max. That’s what happens when a great driver like sainz is alongside an elite driver like Charles

Leclerc > Sainzn anyone who knows about F1 would say so.
