Much rather have a small phone I fold out to a big one when I need it than having my Note 10+ IF it could compare. But it can't yet so I'll keep my Note... :P

@el capitano well yeah, they are practically selling different devices under the same name. In my country Note20 Ultra comes with both Exynos and 8 Gb of ram, there is no other version available. Even if I could understand processor difference, some 4G/LTE models having 8 Gb (compared to last years 12 on Note10+ and 12 on other Ultra devices) is only their greed and cutting corners wherever they can, nothing else.
I don't know if you'll actually read this, but this video sent be down the path of upgrading to the Razr. I started with the "when phones were fun" videos. I felt nostalgic, and then I saw this in my recommended feed. This is a great video that captures everything that I have wanted from a new phone that's not another rectangle snore fest. I've said to myself for years that I'd love my old razr flip phone with spotify and navigation and voila here it is! Thank you for the review!

Looking back at this RAZR, I wish the design remained the same, just tuning the cameras, increasing battery size and charging speeds, and it would be absolutely stunning. The design is still, very iconic.

Yeah, I was surprised that LG decided to omit me from the first wave of devices, since everyone knows how excited I am by strange new form factors. Maybe they were just trying to make sure I actually took a real vacation instead of a working one. :)

I'm getting my new Razr 5G tomorrow morning. It arrived at my post office box Saturday afternoon. I really can't wait. I've literally been watching EVERY video out there on this device. Michael's video is THE best. Not only is his style the most professional, his content is clearly the most compelling too. After watching several dozen videos on the Razr 5G, this one gets my Emmy Award for best performance.

this. 1500 bucks for a midrange phone. you get the same specs without fold for under 300. doesn't matter how expensive production etc is. unless this is available for under 800 bucks, it will stay a niche product.
Not bothered taking a look at smartphones until now, have been using a Motorola V2 for years, still use it, original batteries as well. Did not realize these were on the market, will be purchase now, thanks for the video information, a terrific demeanor you have!
Not quite I have found the call sound quality on Samsung phones lacking, the last two that I have had I sent back for refund and changed for another brand. Good to see Motorola place an emphasis on this instead of gimmicks.

I am personally an Apple guy (at least for phones) but it’s so cool that phones are finally being updated for there form factors. I am just tired of the slab of glass form myself. If I were to get an android phone it would be this razr. It’s so useful and pocket friendly. Great video!
The screen folding mechanism that Motorola used hides the creases exceptionally well compared to the Z Flip but the drawback is that it cannot stay open in multiple different positions. Still, a great design to get rid of that crease!
... It doesn't get rid of the crease at all. It just makes them slightly shallower, but instead of one crease you get THREE. They also get SIGNIFICANTLY worse with age whereas Samsung's (& now Motorola's as well) UTG foldables' creases stay much the same throughout ownership. The RAZR/5G's display not actually being laminated to anything was a major problem.
@@Cooe. I didn't say it got rid of the crease. It's just a lot less pronounced. Yes, you get 3 creases but they are shallow and you don't see them at all compared to what Samsung is doing. They are a bit more visible after 2-3 years of use, but even then they are no wear the level of Samsung. I switched from a Z Fold 4 to a OnePlus Open and it is so much better to not see the crease there.
It just launch in Thailand last week. We never thought the Moto will came back agian. Maybe I will switch from Z Flip to Razr because mini screen and 5g. Nice video and waiting for full review.
As always, great video! Just throwing out there, I've been using galaxy z flip 5g since release and its working great just like non flip phone. I don't baby it. If you're thinking about getting one, go for it. I have zero regrets. Its got major cool factor

Yes! I would enjoy a review of the RAZR 2. Back in the day I was spilt between the RAZR 2 and the BlackBerry Curve 8330 i ended up going with the BlackBerry.
Having had the original Razr back in the day I do have a certain fondness for the flip style architecture. That said I can't see myself spending that insane level of money for a phone. Modern phones have reached a point where even the budget models meet my needs. I have a Motorola G7 Supra (Power), a 2019 model. I think I spent $150 total for the phone, case, liquid screen protector and first month's service out the door from Cricket. It's been a great phone, meets all my needs, and the huge battery lasts 2 days. Don't get me wrong. I love watching these high end reviews, but I often wonder how many people who buy these can truly afford them.
Great stuff as always man. I’m definitely more excited for this one than the Samsung offerings. I’m just much more of a fan of the Razr design. The camera seems plenty good enough for my needs and I’m not concerned about the raw spec sheet, as long as it performs well.
Great to see mobiles like this going back to the early days when it was more exciting and not do dull looking as they are today. Phones starting to become individual again :)
Seeing the trends toward foldables, I'd decided to make the Razr 5G my daily. Picked one up on Mercari, unlocked and like new for $550 with a 2 year accidental warranty👍The icing on the cake and what I do with all my older tech is sell it online to offset my newest purchases. After selling my S8 Active, the Razr was all in under $400! At that price point, well "Hello Moto" 😊

seeing the switch from Mini USB right to USB C is so nice. Micro USB is fine for some things in this modern era, but USB C is where it's at :)
