Halford and Sabbath are pretty tight. He's often filled in when needed whether it was Dio or Ozzy who couldn't make it for what ever reason. He's like the 5th member or something. He knows the material and sings it very well. He's also a hell of a showman.
The energy of the whole concert is awesome. Love to see Geezer and Iommi with big smiles painted on their faces. They are having fun and this is reflected to the whole perfomance!
Halford is called THE METAL GOD for a reason. The best ever metal singer to ever hold a microphone. He can do any song, just dont try to do his HAHA, save you the embarrassment
great lineup!!! Sabbath, Priest, Dio i'm under the wheels of confusion .... Anyway the DIO era is the best Black Sabbath time in my opinion. Have a nice day
@BarefootRadio I listened carefully when he sang "We blind the SKYYYYYY…" Dio wasn't 100% high, he was a low tenor and his vocals were about power and sustain. Halford could hit the note but not hold and push it like Ronnie. Listen to Dio's "Sky," like the irresistible force it only gained power as it went on. He had an operatic/bardic voice.
hes the metal god and he started the image. He gets plenty of credit. Who cares what people outside of metal think? thats what its about. The mainstream audiences will act like they cared about him the whole time just like they did with dimebag...after he died.
Rob Halford is a terrible match for Black Sabbath and it’s extremely weird hearing him sing this epic song, but it all still totally kicked ass! Love it, even though I sound like a hypocrite.
He's just a guest I say. Dio didn't want Sabbath to play with Ozzy (who at the time was carrying out the "retirement tour" and wanted Sabbath to play a song or two with him) and leaved. At first Sabbath tried to get Tony Martin but he was in Europe and couldn't go to America. Then we have these two magnificent shows with Rob Halford. :)
So why the fuck best meta singer rob halford who else pull it off. Why is there not a dvd of this concert. A rare show rob halford is not in black sabbath. Black judas.
Hello Leandro, Bof, Halford with this cover for me it’s 👎👎RONNIE is RONNIE, him no Proud the Beautiful Song👎But JORN( Ronnie’s fan) could singing this, bye👎
Can't believe this actually happened. Rob is just amazing both on the dio and ozzy material. makes me wish they would have made born again with him instead og Ian Gillan! anybody got a link for a good quality bootleg CD of this show? wanna be able to listen to it wherever I am. =)
whoa dude, take it easy. The guy was just wondering. Either way, I doubt it. Ozzy and Rob grew up in England, and Ronnie grew up in Philadelphia, iirc. So they may have been in the same room two at a time, but I highly doubt that all three have ever been in the same room.
Halford doesn't use head voice that much, he mostly uses reinforced falsetto for his highs, when he reaches his passaggio(mids, which is where this song generally is for him) he has a hard time maintaining power. Dio was all about his powerful head voice, different areas of power for different approaches. Rob would have considerable difficulty performing a Dio set while Dio could never pull off the kind of performances from Unleashed in the East.
@@Grayjacket11 one year late here but it depends on the eras of Priest, he was almost only using head voice until Painkiller then it was mixed, and I think nowadays he goes mostly into falsetto
Rob Halford and « Children’s of the sea🙌yes, but the greatest version, for me is « Magnificent LORD RONNIE, him Emotion, when you SEE RONNIE🤘💋🎶Halford no loving the marvelous Song👎🧙♂️
Just the fact that the first album with him in Iron Maiden (the Number of the Beast) the last before his deparure (Fear of the Dark) and his comeback album (dance of Death) are the best Iron Maiden albums so far shows a lot about his talent. He made Iron Maiden one of the greatest Heavy Metal bands and he doesn't only have my love but my respect too.
Ronnie James dio didn't want to sing on the shows where black sabbath was the opening act for ozzy Osbourne on his no more tours concerts, so he left the band and on that short time they found rob halford free and willing to do the job of replacing dio on a few shows, rob is a great vocalist, but he was acting on stage like it was a show of judas priest, I saw judas priest live so I know his usual words to the crowd, and his vocals are too high for the sabbath songs
Ronnie James Dio refused to open for Ozzy, Ozzy was pretty harsh on Ronnie when Ronnie replaced him in Sabbath. Ozzy had a midget on the Diary Of Madman Tour that he hung every night. He named the midget Ronnie.
was rob ever considered to replace ozzy? if so, why didnt he? i like robs singing more than ronnies. well thinking about it i guess rob was still quite involved with his own band so wouldnt or couldnt joiin sabbath at the time.

Rob is one of those vocalists that hasnt received the credit he deserves...awesome performance.
The energy of the whole concert is awesome. Love to see Geezer and Iommi with big smiles painted on their faces.
They are having fun and this is reflected to the whole perfomance!
Hadnt heard this, Halford's my favorite vocalist & I luv that jam!!!
Halford could have sang for Sabbath when he left Priest, honestly If might have worked musically
Imagine a Halford Black Sabbath album!!!
That would have been INCREDIBLE!
The Boys from Birmingham, the Brummies, were and will ever be Dio's greatest pals. God Bless, paisano.
I was there. what a show!
Wow, wow and wow!!! This is awesome! Rob Halford along with RJD, Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate are my favorite metal singers.
one of the most amazing halford performances ive ever seen
Halford is a strong vocal performer....fantastic.I think would have a full album of Sabbath with Halford voices!!
My brother and I were at this gig! Halford rocked.
The Beast that is The Priest comes to The Sabbath for a Night! Rob sounds awesome on this.
Phenominal petformance! Halfords voice sounds great with sabbath!
Halford is called THE METAL GOD for a reason. The best ever metal singer to ever hold a microphone. He can do any song, just dont try to do his HAHA, save you the embarrassment
everyone in top form! this is some dude's old ass video came and it sounds amazing. being there must've been legendary.
Would be quite the tour... I agree... I saw Black Sabbath with Ian Gillian on the Born Again tour, and that was AMAZING to say the least...
Halford is the best
Really nice to hear him sing some Sabbath, great version
One of my all time favorite songs and MAN I'll tell ya ROCK THE FUCK ON ROBBY!!!
GRANDE HALFORD CUBRIENDO LA ERA DEL GRAN DIO EN BLACK SABBATH , POR ESO ES THE METAL GOD !!!!
This is one of the best put comments I've ever read, thank you.
Rob Halford is a treasure!
this is like a metal dream come true!
Yeah that's track #1, followed by the one featured here. Awesome first two tracks!
Rob Halford with Black Sabbath... now that would had the makeings for one hell of a tour.
great lineup!!! Sabbath, Priest, Dio i'm under the wheels of confusion .... Anyway the DIO era is the best Black Sabbath time in my opinion. Have a nice day
It is and Rob's voice is perfect for it!
Not in dios class
1:24
Its from the Sabbath album Heaven and Hell, which was the first to feature Dio on vocals. It was the first album after Ozzy left.
Hope to see Black sabbath + Rob halford in concert again !!
I don't give a shit who is 'better'. It's all good.
THE MOST BEATIFULL SOLO OF TONY IOMMI
Fantastic! Metal God's voice fits this song, but after all that's why he's called the metal God
amazingggggg!!!!!!
hes the metal god and he started the image. He gets plenty of credit. Who cares what people outside of metal think? thats what its about. The mainstream audiences will act like they cared about him the whole time just like they did with dimebag...after he died.
Awesome,thanks!
Honestly I would pay more to see halford with sabbath
Una joya ezte videoooo 😄👍
Best vocalists for Sabbath have been: Halford, Gillan, Dio
Hello🙌RAY GILLEN it’s always Great, and beautiful boy(RIP😪)
Dio=1
Metal God doesnt disappoint!

Judas Priest + Black sabbath fodasticooooooo + amazingggggggggg
Rare to see Rob with a microphone stand haha!
Se é Loko !!! De arrepiar !!!
Rob was wilding!
Rob Halford wants a tour with Judas Priest, the original Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Motorhead. I would pay ANY amount for that
I saw Maiden, Motorhead and Dio do same concert (2005). Also saw Priest with Halford open for the original Sabbath lineup( 2006)
Vinny Appice!🤘
@ijemekkos4life iron maiden guitarists sure as hell can't, but damn dude, Glenn and KK are probably the most underrated guitarists ever
@oksooner405 yes and it's Ian Paice on drums :)
WOW ! i love ronnie , but halford gives this song a whole sound
Rob Halford is a terrible match for Black Sabbath and it’s extremely weird hearing him sing this epic song, but it all still totally kicked ass! Love it, even though I sound like a hypocrite.
fuck yeah
He's just a guest I say. Dio didn't want Sabbath to play with Ozzy (who at the time was carrying out the "retirement tour" and wanted Sabbath to play a song or two with him) and leaved.
At first Sabbath tried to get Tony Martin but he was in Europe and couldn't go to America. Then we have these two magnificent shows with Rob Halford. :)
@wavierbaltazar Dio Halford and Tate best singers ever
Halford is a great singer, i liked this version but a preffer the Sabbath with Dio! :)
So why the fuck best meta singer rob halford who else pull it off. Why is there not a dvd of this concert. A rare show rob halford is not in black sabbath. Black judas.

Dio and Rob are on film together. Check out the "Stars" video.
Completely f**king badass!
I thought DIO was sick or something and went bald and his voice was gone, it scared me for a few minutes.
buff,nudo en la garganta
The Best Vokal ON THIS TIME ..
@Docadolf would love to hear Dio attempt any Priest classic especially anything in his trademark high register..now that would be funny!!
whoa dude, take it easy. The guy was just wondering.

Six years late here, but I always thought Dio used mixed voice while Halford used head voice...? Totally agree, otherwise.
@@Grayjacket11 one year late here but it depends on the eras of Priest, he was almost only using head voice until Painkiller then it was mixed, and I think nowadays he goes mostly into falsetto
The Metal God!!! 🤘🤘🤘
black sabbath/ judas priest - keep the faith metalheads
halford sings as if desert plains by judas style at the bigining...
Perronsooote videooo
Rob Halford and « Children’s of the sea🙌yes, but the greatest version, for me is « Magnificent LORD RONNIE, him Emotion, when you SEE RONNIE🤘💋🎶Halford no loving the marvelous Song👎🧙♂️
@DiamondDEK
Yep! I love them both but Ronnie is one and only. Noone can replace him. Perhaps he is singin to God right now!
@Legionbass19 it would be good .. Tony always gets the best singers ..
Ja ja ja pinche Rob siempre se equivocaba pero de todos modos se le perdona chingon momento como vocalista de Sabbath siempre con los grandes 😄😄😄😄👍
Vinnie appice on drums
omg Rob kicks so much ass
Yeah, but without Ozzy. I was responding to whether Rob and Dio have ever been in the same room with Ozzy, which I doubt.

Darth95Vader Dude he's is In Judas priest not Iron Maiden
What dimension you come from dude?
Demais!

It's too bad Rob never got in the studio with Sabbath... they could have done some interesting original material together.
Wow this is the first time I heard about this midget named "Ronnie." Good stuff. :P
Ronnie James Dio refused to open for Ozzy, Ozzy was pretty harsh on Ronnie when Ronnie replaced him in Sabbath. Ozzy had a midget on the Diary Of Madman Tour that he hung every night. He named the midget Ronnie.
A lot better than Ozzy.
Really fits the music of Sabbath.
Damn he's good, who? Pick one, pick them all
Imo probably the best Children of the Sea.
Altough 2004 Halford with Sabbath was a failure. 2004 Rob tried to sing like Ozzy.
@fenixmaker gotta go with Roonie James Dio with this song
ruim the domh see dio live in holland performong this song
are you back in the asylum yet?
Rob Halford: best heavy meatl singer alive
Dio: best heavy metal singer of all time
No, your second sentence should read dio WORST lyricist of all time
This song was actually intended for Ozzy to sing before Dio joined the band
False
No NOT false. Solid ( and true) observation ( bit the beegees ? Boo Hiss Frown !!!
Costa mesa
Shouldn't Sabbath be the gods and Halford their Priest? (I don't know if Iommy would like to be called a god, though).
Not a patch on dio
was rob ever considered to replace ozzy? if so, why didnt he? i like robs singing more than ronnies. well thinking about it i guess rob was still quite involved with his own band so wouldnt or couldnt joiin sabbath at the time.
@BarefootRadio it s not too high...it s too low for him....differents voices
they didn't do NIB at this show!
I could see Bruce Dickinson doing a great job with this song IMO.
Definately, he has a very similar voice to Dio and you can find bootlegs of Bruce at Dio shows and killing it with Dio
Dickson is an asshole
@Beegees75 Nope.
Black Priest or Judas Sabbath is more like it!
HALFORD IS FUCKING WICKED !!!!
