5 DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES to support your weight loss: www.chefaj.com...
    YUMMY SAUCE
    Ingredients:
1 x 15 ounce can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained (or 1.5 cups of cooked beans)
Juice and zest of one organic lemon (if the lemon does not yield 1/4 of a cup of juice, then add more lemon juice)
    1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons salt-free mustard (I use Westbrae Stoneground)
3/4 ounce pitted dates (approximately 3 deglet noor dates)
    1 clove garlic
    Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If you are using a high-powered blender, you can make this sauce warm to serve over rice and veggies. It is also delicious cold massaged into shredded cabbage for "Yummy Slaw".
Here is what 11-year old Evan from Maryland had to say about it: "It is so good! This recipe is amazing! I love the flavors, especially how it tasted over the veggies". His mother added, "This sauce is insane."

AWESOME! Chef AJ, one of the things I miss the most is a great avgo-lemono. You know..that egg-lemon sauce on top of dolmathes or mixture that's added to broth to make Greek chicken soup. Of course, as a vegan, I don't eat that anymore. Making this Yummy sauce with maybe some additional lemon would be a great substitute and I can pour it on my greens..especially dandelion greens. Yeah, I'm Greek. :)

If you turn the micro plane the other way and zest over the top of the lemon, it works great plus it holds the zest so you know how much you have....I only drag it over the lemon once instead of the back and forth motion most people use....no white pith

Chef AJ!!!!! I made this sauce just now and it truly is "yummy"! I usually omit lemon zest but I added it since you talked about it tricking the body from the sour to a salty taste. It took 1 1/2 lemons to make 1/4 cup of juice for me. And I didn't have a zest tool so I used a knife and cut two nickel sized slivers of yellow skin from the lemon. I can't wait to put this on my black beans, Bhutanese red rice, and steamed kale lunch today. I may even toss in some pico de gallo.

I've been low-sodium for several years, been sugar-free for a year and a half, and now caffeine free for several months. Thanks, my husband will love this sauce too (he's a condiment freak.) LOL!

Well, I made it and it does taste pretty good. I'm eager to use it for slaw dressing and I also plan to experiment with different kinds of beans. Today was my first "salt/oil free" day and I didn't prepare ANYthing ahead of time so today I ate my baked potatoes plain with no-salt seasoning. meh. This sauce will help a lot.

    • @calonstanni
      @calonstanni 8 лет назад +6

+calonstanni So instead of cleaning my vitamix, I went ahead and made another batch of this with Red Kidney beans instead of cannelinni beans. I didn't quite have enough lemon juice so I used what I had along with only one tablespoon of mustard. Not great. But THEN I added cumin, smoked paprika and a good amount of chipotle powder and NOW I have a really great "Spicy Yummy Sauce" that I think is gonna satisfy my craving for heat.

I use pink Himalayan rock salt which contains other minerals besides sodium (hence the colour) and love it. As for Chef AJ’s Yummy Sauce, this is my favourite sauce and one I come back to again and again, it’s so versatile. I am looking for new ideas for variations and additions!

🙋🏻‍♀️chef AJ, I’m almost 53, at 18 I weighed a whopping 340+ lbs😶 I am now 197.6( as of this morning 😉 I managed to reach this weight (played yo-yo with 15 lbs for years) I’m not yet at a desirable weight. I’m 5 2” and had both my knees replaced, which makes exercising and walking difficult ( but not impossible) I manage , although I have loose skin ( which throws me off balance , so I walk with a cane 50% of the time. I
apologize for rambling😶 I’ve tried WW , and I other eating plans, even Keto ( which constipated me something horrible! ) 🤗Finding You was a Godsend! I’m determined to follow your way of nourishment😊If you would be so gracious, please post any hints for beginners ( if you have a presentation, please indicate it. Thank you !

A splash of soy sauce and some garlic powder works wonders on some greens. No one can do the sos lifestyle on a long term basis.

I am new to this way of eating. I don't want to say diet cause I am not in a diet. I am on a life changing food journey. I watched Fork over knives with my boyfriend who like me wants to eat healthier. Any recommendations on how to become successful in this journey?
