And, you officially ARE a fan of carrots 🥕 Glazed carrots are easy to make, you can start making them in your van so you can add another vegetable to your diet. I personally like them just with butter, you'd probably like it too. Glad you tried it.

That's how I've found the 3 train rides that I've been on! Just lackluster scenery, good dinners but not worth the price I paid. The train ride in Silver Dollar City, a local amusement park, gets robbed by Alvie and Ralphie Bolin and is a cute little skit. On the way to the place the train is robbed, and on the way back, the person talking over the intercom says, "Quick! Look to the right! What do you see, trees! Look to your left! What do you see... more trees!" Lol Sounds like that would go for your ride as well!

Gee, Anthony, the cost for the dinner train I rode on was $100 per person, counting gratuity. You have to consider the cost of upkeeping a very old train, all the employees, and your delicious meal. It's a novelty. You have to love trains and the history to really appreciate it. It was a real treat for us.
I think for what you got, service and train ride it was worth the $65, anything like this in the UK would cost a lot more. You ate a decent meal and was waited on. Cheaper it wouldn't have been beneficial for them to even keep such a experience sustainable. It's a business at the end of the day and I was surprised it wasn’t $85 for the pleasure of the experience and being waited on.
Sometimes, ice cream melts too quickly with cake or pie. It seems you had chocolate cake with whipped mousse. Our grandparents probably remember days of traveling by train and eating in the dining cars. What an experience. Hello to Michael!

Those carrots looked like Honey Butter carrots: Just steam baby carrots, then put in a skillet with butter & a little honey, & let them absorb the glaze. I would Definitely plan that trip again, in the Fall, when you'll enjoy the Autumn foliage.

Anthony I have always wanted to take a train trip and stay in a little room on the train. I have always been told how good the food is on a train. I was watching about the luxury trains in Japan. And the food is like 7 courses. And the rooms are amazing. But very expensive. I think going by train would be a great way to see the countryside. At least you had a really good meal and something different to look at while you were dining. The food looked delicious!
