Is there a way to go back with screws or even bolts, instead of rivets for easier access next time? And also I see that you didn’t take the metal panel away from the door too much. Are there wires keeping you from pulling it out more? You sort of just snuck the new assembly down behind it? Lastly, I see the window is all the way up. Is there something I missed? Do you have to do anything extra to make sure the window is lined up with the regulator? Thanks.
The window is held in place by the 2 clips. The easiest part of this whole experience. To completely remove the panel you would need to remove the latch and probably the outside handle. Just slide it away from the door panel. In theory, you could use 1/4 bolts and nuts but you would need to find a way to glue them onto the back of the panel. This is one instance where I think only rivets will do.
My Glc300 window is not auto closing, the window closes and comes back down. I put my high price scanner on it and shows the window travel is out of range. The correct travel is 0-1170. Mine is 46 to 1190. Do you know if it's a bad regulator on pulse counter on the motor?
First try to reset the auto up and down feature. Hold the button down for 12 seconds after the window is already down, then do the same after the window is already up. If that doesn't work you will probably replace the window regulator.
Thank you for the video. Could you please confirm the length of the 1/4"diameter rivet because there are 1/4" and 1/2" two different grip lengths. Are they steel rivets or aluminum? Thank you very much!

Hi there, when you replace the regulator. Is the window all the way up or down? To access it?
unbolt the clips that hold the glass, there are 2 access holes. Put the glass up with a suction cup.

What are the sizes of rivets you use for the regulator and the pannel.
The flange on the one I have are too small
1/4 inch regulator rivets. But you will need the larger rivet tool.
