I add onion and garlic to my baby's meats, I understand not adding salt and other spices but he still needs flavor in his food. I haven't had reactions or anything bad come from this and the Dr told me it was ok.

sure, onion and garlic are great. you can also add spices and herbs to baby food. It's just salt to be avoided.
