Marlene didn’t give Ellie a choice. Marlene didn’t give Joel a choice either. So Joel didn’t give her a choice.
"Y'all better kill him right here" Never have truer words been said 🤣
Instead they were like "Here's a knife for you to kill us with 👼"
@@jubilantsleep right 😂
Marlene probably didn't realize how close they grew together during their time on the road. Remember he was not too excited about taking her when Marlene first gave her to him and Tess. She was just "cargo".
She had to have known bc when he woke up she said Ellie was only concerned about Joel. And he was only concerned about Ellie.
Also, Marlene knew he’d want a momentum & gave Ellie’s knife to him.
My issues:
1) How the Fireflies went about it: They should've let Ellie decide and they should've let that decision happen in front of Joel so he'd know the truth.
2) Marlene's argument about how Ellie will die in from clickers and raiders because "the world is broken and you could've fixed it." Lady, the world has always been broken. People have always have been doing evil, the only differences now are that there's no law and order to combat this. Human nature isn't gonna change just because you find a cure for cordyceps. Also, how are you planning on distributing this cure if it even works? I didn't hear any guarantee that it would work.
3) Joel ain't in the right either with how he handled it, but I get it. If there's one thing that I am, is loyal to those I care for, even to a fault.
I somewhat disagree. It is certainly a moral dilemma. The reason they didn't want to give Ellie the choice, was because they didn't want to risk her saying no. They thought they were on the verge of a cure, and i can certainly understand forcing one more sacrifice to save millions from suffering and dying.
You said, "Well, the world has always been broken." I don't know what your point is here. That's so depressing, as it implies that we shouldn't do anything to make things better, unless that attempt guarantees 100%. Should we stop helping starving kids if it only saves 1% of them? Do we only work to make things better if a Utopia is promised on the other end? That's a sad way to look at things.
I played the game a few years ago, long before i saw the show. I became very protective of Ellie, but i also hated having to murder everyone at the hospital. They weren't evil or selfish. They were actively trying to save the human species. Their methods may have sucked, but the cordyceps created a lot of terrible actions for the common good. At least this particular terrible action (dissecting Ellie's brain) could have done an incalculable amount of good. That's hard to to be willing to condemn countless people to death for.
@@trekkiejunk So, you think it's okay to murder a child because some doctor thinks that she (Ellie) MIGHT be the cure.
You know what!! This guy here (and his puppies), are extremely rare in really good RUclipsrs. He's down to earth, funny as f£@k and honest. He WILL get bigger and bigger on RUclips, and I guarantee his presence will be heard, laughed about and we will cry with him(soppy movies only). I love watching him immensely, and keep going back to his reactions several times, because he's one of my favourite reactors EVER on RUclips. Love you man and keep on going from the UK xxx
Agreed! Well said! I just discovered him a couple days ago and already subscribed and wat he'd all of these and a few movies, starting with The Ghost in the Darkness, since it's a favorite of mine and there aren't many reactions for it out there.
During the first episode, they explained that Cordyceps (wants to travel to the host's brain). And depending on where you get bit, it might take shorter/longer to reach the brain. Generally, within 24 hours, you're fully infected and turn "zombie". Anna (Ellie's mom) was bit in the leg, takes longer than if she had been bit in the arm or neck.
Biggest change to Ep 9 from the game is it's a lot shorter; but the key scenes like giraffe encounter, the doc trying to stop Joel, and Joel vs Marlene and the last ". . . OK." are 1-to-1 with the game.
Love the first game's ending. People _still_ have whole debates over the exact meaning of that last ". . . OK."
I never understood the debate. Ellie clearly doesn't believe him, but realizes there's not much she can do about it.
@@doughbafettthat’s exactly what I took as well like “Ok. I know you’re not telling me the truth so I’ll try not to think about it”
I'm happy to see that someone who didn't play the games and doesn't know everything in advance is still Team Joel too. I feel like everyone was Team Joel when they played the game but not so much anymore with the series. But I'm still 100% behind what Joel did, it goes with what he said to Ellie before, she's basically what gave purpose to his life. Plus I can't blame someone for not wanting to sacrifice a loved one on just a what-if chance because maybe there would've been no cure and Ellie would've died for nothing. But I also get what Marlene said, I want to think Ellie didn't go through everything she did for nothing, I'm sure she would've gone through with the surgery even if it didn't had the desired result, simply going through with it all. As for season two, I think I heard 2025 so it might be a moment but am willing to wait as long as it's well done like this. There was so much more that could've been added but we also got to hear more lore and got more insight into various characters that at the end of the day I'm satisfied with what they did, can't wait to see if season two is either longer. Or if there's more than one more season considering the vast amount of story there is in the 2nd game.
always was with joel 100% at the hospital - just...not with the lie
I found your channel because of this show and I'm sticking with ya till season 2 and beyond. You are an absolute delight. Keep em comin, good sir.
Welcome to the family!
The actress playing Ellie's mom at the beginning is the vocie of Ellie in the game.
They look so similar!
20:17 nah, goes back to Bill's letter "and god help any mf's that get in the way"
If she knew and was gone go along with the surgery any way she should have told, Joe. She thought she was going to get that chase at the hospital, but was rushed. This is great watching this with you. Thank you for the fun.
Been so fun watching you react 😊❤
Love this game, even tho it puts you through the wringer! 😭
Bella Ramsey and Pedro better get ALL the awards!
From an interview with Bella, she said season 2 should start filming at the end of this year, with a release for the end of 2024...it's gonna be a while sadly.
I wonder if season 2 will follow the plot of the 2nd game or if it'll show what happened between the first and second game. Should be interesting.
@JL was amazing fun to see someone who never played the game fall in love with this show and the characters. Thank you and EOM so much for this :)
Finally, a reactor that has the same opinion as me regarding Joel killing everyone. So many reactors have said that they would never do that, but you know most people would for their child. Whether it was their biological child or not. Great reaction as always!
Same here. The only kind of people who wouldn't do what Joel did are people who don't have the guts to do it and would just slowly die of depression after they let it happen, or the type that really don't care.
Plus they didn't even know if it would work, so I don't blame Joel for making that choice.
I haven't seen any reactor take either side fully. It's definitely a tough option though. Luckily he never played the game so that makes it a more amazing reaction
@@iketurner8212 I’m part of the latter. My closest friends and I are all of the opinion that we would let each other go down if it meant saving the world. But like most people are selfish so it makes sense that they would choose the comfort and survival of one person they’re connected to over the rest of the world. I don’t judge that at all, there’s plenty of stuff that I *would* revert to the selfish option on. Just not this. If Joel had let her go, what happened to her mom wouldn’t have to happen to anyone else.
My whole thing was they didn't even give Ellie a choice. Maybe she would have sacrificed her life or maybe she wouldn't have. Remember all this time she was under the impression it was just some of her blood they needed. It was a set up from the get go. That's why Marlene got there so fast. That's why they knocked Joel out and sedated Ellie so fast. Plus they didn't even know if it would work. How many cures come out of 1 test run? But Joel lying to Ellie is not going to be good.
You are looking good.
I don't mind waiting for your posts. They are worth it.
Thanks J
9:30 that’s actually a real giraffe :) her name is Nabo and she’s a 13 year old masai who was born at the zoo i volunteer for in the summers! alberta proud babyyy!! anyone else from the YYC/YEG tap innnn❤❤❤❤
You never have to apologize for taking care of life. I hope it wasn't anything serious. Love watching you react!
I've watched a few reactions of this show & you're the 1st person who had the same reaction as me, that last "ok" sounded like she knew Joel was lying & you never know what Marlene said to Ellie between the flashbang & the operating table. Spot on 💪
Great work as always! loved watching this series with you, can't wait for saw tomorrow! have a good week!
I love the look of disbelief on your face when the episode ended. And yes, that's how the game ended, too. This game has stayed with me for years. I struggled with the choices made by the characters (or the choices you had to make as the characters) and I believe this show did an AMAZING job at showing that everyone has a story, and nobody is 'a good guy' and 'a bad guy'. That people will go a long way to survive, do terrible stuff, and then spend the rest of their lives living with the memories of what they've done. I would be the first one to die in a situation like this, because I wouldn't be able to find something new to fight for. I'd be "What's the point?". So for this game to show what it might take, the kind of people you have to meet and protect against, man...
I can't wait for season 2, but we will have to wait a bit...
Joel was brutal in this this episode, but you know what, I agree with him. If you love someone, nothing and nobody should stand in your way of protecting them
Hahaha I love this dude all real no fake big love to those cute co-pilots ✌️❤️
the actress who played ellies mom wasnt just that. she was the one who WAS ellie in the video game.
Hope you're doing well! Thank you for your amazing reactions! Also love seeing your babies in the background!
Loved this series reaction ! Please do Part Two when it comes out .
Love your videos brother.
In fairness, the Fireflies wouldn't have known how close Joel was to Elle. They likely kept him alive to potentially help out on the next BS thing that they'd want to do, and/or to not have Tommy or Tess (they wouldn't know that she's dead) to come looking for Joel with guns blazing.
16:18 kill him anyway that’s my dude right there 😂😂 exactly me playing the game and watching the show I’m fired up watching Joel save Ellie’s life and not lose another daughter
Edit: no doesn’t make fucked up at all it’s been a beautiful debate for 10 years now the ending and what the right choice truly was and that’s the beauty of the grey ending is that you can see both sides though I fall on Joel’s
Pretty interesting interpretation concerning her perhaps knowing before she went under. Hadn’t thought of that possibility.
20:17 "That makes me so happy.. I might be fucked up for that, but I don't care.. I'm glad." You and me both dude
Yes, 100% . The game ends in the exact way the Tv series ends. Identical in every way. Filmed an edited i the same way.
I love that Ashley Johnson, who portrayed Ellie in the game, plays her mother here. Anytime I hear Ashley Johnson's voice, all I hear is Ellie.
F Marlene. She doesn't get to play "I think she'd want to do what's right" when she purposely didn't tell Ellie they were about to kill her before sending her into surgery.
I've played the game and it ends with that exact same scene with Ellie asking Joel about the Fireflies and him swearing he wasn't lying.
I've heard they may split up the 2nd game into 2 seasons. There's enough story in it to do that. No idea when it will come out, though.
I _was_ thinking they'd wait 5 years for Bella Ramsey to age up into the role.
And then I realized Bella is already *19.*
Loved all of them, thank you!
The man I've been waiting for, let's go!
When Ashley Johnson run in to the house that will inevitably will be where she dies. I think its the same house from TLOU Part 2 game, where Ellie lives with her adopted daughter and the girl who a face on her nose.
Dude, SPOILERS! WTF???
@@trekkiejunk Wow 2 months later. Am so sorry I ruined the show so for. Did you watch his batman 1.2 reaction? Batman beat the Joker and the Penguin, sylvester stallone beat wesley snipes in demolition man, Ferris Bueller has aday off, Austin powers beat Dr Evil in all 3 movies but gets a brother in the end and The Patriot with Mel Gibson is a ripoff of a British Patriot story, get back to me if you want more spoilers. Also star trek is shit. Have a nice day.
Hope everything is well, please keep them coming. 👍
In a world where Ellie from the game gives birth to her self in a TV show. SHOCKING!
I've thought long and hard and I still can't find a single thing wrong with Joel's actions at the hospital. His baby girl was about to be murdered without being given a choice. Marlene and the surgeon had already shown how unethical they are and if they'd been left alive they would have undoubtedly restarted the search for Ellie, just to dice her brain up regardless of what she wanted.
You can argue Joel should have been honest with Ellie afterwards, but I think a lot of that is desperation & panic on Joel's part; he loves her dearly and is in full protection mode. He's probably also battling a load of other factors in his mind, such as how he now knows the Fireflies are basically just inhumane butchers - no better than Fedra - and aren't the right people to be armed with a cure anyway (if it was ever even possible which is unlikely). So trying to prevent Ellie from pursuing the Fireflies again in the future might be worth the lie in his mind.
At the end of the day, Joel is a flawed individual. Saving Ellie and then lying to protect her all makes sense for who he is. It goes beyond right and wrong.
I agree with you…. I might’ve left the surgeon alive. Even if they restarted the search for Ellie, there was a strong likelihood she would submit to biopsies.
I don’t understand the surgeon! Maybe not a neurologist? One would assume he’s had enough time in 20 years to do research & if he needed a living host, why perform the surgery in a way that would end in the patient’s death? He literally has 1 attempt & if he messes up, it’s over. He should be doing scans/ biopsies first. There should’ve been months to have that final convo w/Joe, Marlene and Ellie 🤦🏾♀️
I seem to be the minority in the comments but i don't think saying Joel did the right thing is as easy as everyone thinks. The game (and now the show) intended it to be a moral dilemma. It was supposed to build up your love for Ellie during the game, and at the end, when you can see an enormous amount of good that comes from her sacrifice, you still fight for the surrogate daughter, because you've become very protective of her. (There's even more difficult moral dilemma in the sequel game.) For me, it's a hard thing to say Joel did the right thing, because i keep thinking of the millions of people who could avoid suffering, terror and death. All prevented from the sacrifice of one girl.
That doctor should've known..I mean, come on. You heard some shots.
He must've been hyping himself up on those noise-cancelling headphones
Very odd ending and love your positive energy and excellent review!
Her mom told Marlene to find someone to love her and protect her and it didn't work out for Marlene. She shouldn't have found someone to care for her
22:31 react 22:50 .-Ernie Moore Jr.
Its hilarious to me that people think the show emasculated Joel. Hes a fucking badass.
Yaya but I'm sad it's over til s2😢
Joel went full Terminator.
I love when Joel goes full on beast mode!!
Hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
The murder whistle really does want blood
My question for you. Seeing what Joel has done here do you think Joel is a bad guy?
Many of the people in the hospital were innocent.
The game ended the exact same way (except Ellie didn’t explain the Riley story to Joel. That was part of DLC.) The morality of his actions was a huge discussion and continues to be a focal point in Part 2. (Don’t spoil the plot of the second game but feel free to discuss morality etc.)
Honestly I do not feel like Joel is a bad guy. Sometimes good people do bad things
@@J_EOMReacts It’s definitely an interesting discussion. In the series his past is hinted at a lot.
In the first game you kill A LOT of human enemies. Most are canon fodder but the people in the hospital are a mixed bag. Some were innocent. Some were following orders.
I understand his reasoning behind his actions and given the choice would probably do something similar. But these people likely had friends and family.
I won’t get into the second game/second season but it’s something to think about.
good reaction!!
Really recommend you play the game J.L. I personally really love both games
Red Letter Media is gonna be on this about that gate opening sound 😂
What gate opening sound?
@@J_EOMReacts 8:26 lol * Rich Evans laugh *
Oh man! I had the very same thought 😂 That felt oddly out of place with the otherwise superb quality of the show. That rusty door sound effect is akin to the pottery breaking sound.
Also still waiting for RLM to talk about this show. At this this point I doubt they will :(
Yeah that’s how the 1st game ended. Legendary too
I love the copaws they are awesome and pls add the movie the frighterns to the list
Ellie would sacrifice herself for the greater good. That's why Joel took her and didn't give her a choice he didn't want to hear.
Yeah Marlene was so confident Ellie would do it she proceeded to not tell Ellie anything beforehand lul
😂man look at them nurses and said off them too lol so true if only he had listened to you
That giraffe was real! Loved watching your reactions to S1
I have enjoyed watching this series with you JL. This has been a lot of fun. I am also watching this series with Cassie at Popcorn In Bed. It's fun watching it with her as well. By the way, I liked the introduction you did for the Popcorn In Bed Poppie awards JL, and Blank because I'm pretty sure you edited it.
Hey EOM Reacts,so are you going to react to Doctor Sleep(2019)?Is it on your list?I just want to know.
It’s definitely on the list
@@EOMReacts OK then,thank you.
This might be the best reaction to this episode I've seen lol
Thanks!! I've enjoyed watching you react to The Last of Us. Can't wait for the next season to find out what happens. Just my opinion.....I think Ellie might have sacrificed herself to save mankind.
This was so good though
One of the nurses is a big character in the next season
Yes and no 😅 the person playing that nurse was just a cameo.
#TeamJoel (although I don't condone the lie)
Bodily autonomy above all else.
This going make me laugh and cry at the same time.
Great show.
RIP doctor....
Yall know why... 0_0
18:38 “I know you have a 🔫 on you” I said thing
I don't like most new shows but this show was f**king amazing!
Love the hospital scene so much, love watching that man put in work.
bro Malene promised Ellies mom 😭😭😭
See.. I knew you'd like the finale. 😅
Funnily enough. Joel's final words to Marlene, is my favourite Quote in The Entire Game.
..and yeah, if someone hasn't pointed it out. The (1st) Game Ends exactly how the show ended. Different Scenery, of course.. but still pretty much word for word. To also answer your Question, no. Marlene did not tell Ellie what was going to Happen to Her. Marlene didn't know until she got there.. she (Marlene) didn't even tell her (Ellie) when she found out. It's also why Ellie was making plans on what to do AFTER they finished this "Mission". That's why she is the biggest POS in The Game.
I don't want to spoil it for you, but there was a reason why they showed the Doctor on The Floor. He plays a pretty big part on The Second One, and he is also The One who tells Marlene what is going to Happen with Ellie; The Cutting up her Brain Part. In The Game, there are Files hinting to what Joel said at end. That they may have tried this more than once before.. which is what Originally made me make my mind up about not Trusting them.
They really, Really, REEEALLY are incompetent people, them Fireflies.. which is why Joel never liked them in first place. There was no way they were capable of, (a) Developing a cure that might've actually work. (b) Distributing that cure throughout the world, let alone America.. or, My Favourite (c) Abandoned the distribution idea entirely, and just Horde it for themselves.
I say the final is my favourite, because all evidence of what happens AFTER this (Episode/Time Period).. proves that this is MOST LIKELY what would've happened. Not wanting to Spoil what happens in The Second Game, but their Hearts were never in it for The Right Reasons. Which is why, what happened, happened, when things went astray.
I'll finish off with, if you're curious about what happens next.. then you should play Part II of The Game. Screw people who talk crap about it, it's still a Great Game. If you want to leave The Encroaching Elements of Surprise a Mystery for Season 2.. it is just as Good. #JoelDidNothingWrong #NightNight ✌😅
There was a lot that bothered me about Part II, but some of that is what made the game great. At first, i wondered why i had to play two characters, as they deliberately made both unlikeable....but then as the game progresses, you understand a lot more about them, and understand why they are where they are. That said, by the end of Part II, i was NOT rooting for Ellie!
@@trekkiejunk I wasn't exactly cheering her on, but I understand where she was coming from. I had only wished they DID the multiple ending thing, as a way of letting The Player Choose who they want to be.
..but alas. They had a Plot in Mind, and it was their Game. 🤷♂😅
Funnily enough though.. I didn't Abby as much as people hated her. I even lost a Facebook buddy when I told him that the way they did The Narrative/Plot for the Game (II), was what they were trying to implement on SpecOps The Line.. but failed. 😅🤷♂
Marleen is at the top of my aint shit list.
Honestly, I can’t see season two coming out before 2025. I think they said the first season took 18 months and they’re probably very early into the writing phase right now. HBO just green lighted season two a month or two ago.
For now it was confirmed that season 2 will be released some time after 2025.. but also they stated that they are gonna make at least 2 seasons for the story from part 2 of the game, so that could be another year or 2 after 2025.
Yes the game ends exactly like that
That's all you get champ
have to wait a couple years for season two it will be 2025 i heard
There was only one thing I hated about this series and that is that it was way too short!!! I don't understand how HBO only gave them 9 episodes... they should have realized that there are millions of people who love the game and millions who love Pedro Pascal at the very least (I'm not sure on the popularity of the other main actors). Even if they were worried that it might not be well received because so many game adaptations have not been good... they should have banked on this one being different for many reasons! Hopefully they get the next season out next year at the latest. Thanks for reacting to this :) Sometimes the story is way bigger than the jumpscares they get you with ;)
Agreed. And on top of that, a couple episodes were major detours...like the love story of Frank and the other guy (which was actually my favorite episode...i cried at least twice), but took up too much time in so short a series. 12-13 episodes would have worked much better.
Now Joel and Ellie can be the last 2 people on earth and live happily ever after. Joel is no better than Katherine 🤦🏿♂️
That’s exactly how the game ended. You should react to the games’ ending.
Yes, that's how the game ended. As far as when does season 2 come out, it doesn't come out til 2025!!!!!! I can't believe we have to wait that long.
Yes thats how the game ends
On a personal note the 2nd game is the first game I ever played and I felt worse and worse the more I played. It was the first game that i ever beat and felt emotionally exhausted and bad when it was over. So many fu*ked up things happen in the game. It gets worse when u sit and think about it later as a whole. U think Ellie seen some sh*t in the first game, wait till the second. Get ur self a playstation and suffer with the first of us.
nah they didn't... they really stole the blade plot point, which doesn't even make sense.
there's alreadyy a great theory on her "immunity" which happend cause the funghus mutated diffrently in her, and became less volatile, and is now blocking out any other funghal infection. paraphrased of course. game theory had a very scientific bit on the whole thing.
whoa man, dorkman is just the worst, so he stitched together multiple explanations, when in the game, they had no real clue as to how the immunity works.
yeah, no, they once again dropped the ball hard on this one. wish the PC version of the game wasn't such a mess, so i could play that and erase this bad show from my memory faster.
but atleast they stopped calling it a vaccine, and spoke about it being a cure.
all that to condone their terrible writing in the second game.
yuh, naughty dog is over with that head honcho in it. the dude couldn't write a good story, if someone diuctated it to him...
You should react to the Last Samurai. One of the best movies of all time imo.
I wondered, is it that ellie knows joel lied? Or is she “off” because of the disappointment. Think about her. She was an orphan with no future. Least not one of her choosing. Finds out she is immune in a traumatic way. But then is basically told she is the savior. Her life can mean something. She never thought she would have to actually give her life. She thought gibe blood or something simular. Fighting so hard to get their earning a father figure along the way. Thinking she will find marlene again. Plus she is a young person. Thats a heavy thing. Never mind the disappointment that she wasnt the cure. She goes back to being ordinary. I dont think she suspect joel would of told her that kinda lie. Maybe a little, only because to her it would be unbelievable that there were others. She didnt even know the truth of her immunity. I think she is in disbelief. And the rest is disappointment. I dont think she suspects joel lying
Did you play the game? Or the second one? It seems pretty clear she suspects Joel is lying, but is not letting herself think about. Why would she have asked him that question so forcefully at the end of the show if she didn't suspect?
The first game ended the same way.
i think the whole point is that neither marlene or joel gave ellie a choice... and that makes everything a lot more devastating.
ellie knows something is off, she knows joel is lying but the truth is too heartbreaking so she forces herself to believe it.
Even if they made a cure, how would they even dispense it? From what I noticed, the infection is international, how would they even do it?
The same way they dispense everything else. It would take time, but as long as you could produce it, it would get around.
When i played the game (and watched the series), I felt very protective of Ellie, but i also felt the moral dilemma, knowing that one death could have prevented millions from suffering and dying. It would have been a tragic ending no matter what...whether she lived or died, there was no happy ending here.
I would have understood if she was Joel's daughter. Joel is selfish and the only reason he saved Ellie was so that he would not have to experience the trauma of loosing someone again. At the same time Marlene should have just killed Joel before he woke up. That would have been the best thing for everyone and the World.
The amount of shit they've been through together, she is Joel's daughter in everything that matters at this point. Also, you've seen the evil shit humans have done throughout the season. How many people are shown killed by infected, and how many are shown killed by other people? Cordyceps didn't cause that. Curing cordyceps wouldn't remove it. The world would still be broken, cured people would still have to avoid the infected, and people would still be selfish assholes. Mankind could have banded together and gotten rid of the infected, but instead we scattered and started killing each other over scraps. We had our chance.
I’m team Joel. Considering how awful people have become. Why save it? If it didn’t work, ellie would have died for nothing. I agree with Joel.
Most people seem to miss the important aspect here. The doctor that decided to kill Ellie an hour after finding her is doing really BAD science. You don't kill your only hope of a cure as the first step. You would test her for months to determine WHY she is immune. Understand that before developing any hypothesis as to how to transfer that immunity to others.
That may be true. But remember a couple things. For one, we are talking about a fictional disease with fictional cures. Second, the game/show trying to create a moral dilemma. You have to step back from how real the science is, and think of it from a philosophical point of view. That was the intention of the writer, anyway, not to look too deeply into the reality of the science.
@EMO Reacts Don't take this the wrong way...but at the top of the video Drogo looks WASTED
So many people were divided over the end and I don’t see how. On one side you have a crackpot medical student in a group of rebels with no resources or ability to mass produce any vaccine, on the other you have a man who has bonded to this girl who was also told she wasn’t told about this surgery “we didn’t tell her, we didn’t scare her, there will be no pain.” He already lost one daughter, he’s not gonna lose a second one. Of course he did what he did, and I would too.
It’s by no means a guaranteed cure, just a shot in the dark - and if they kill the only immune person for this Hail Mary bullshit they’ve lost anyway - had to be a way to do something useful without killing her but no they went straight for the knife.
You get what you pay for.
Also yeah that’s how the game ends too pretty much down to the most minute detail.
Its not mean!
And Marlene never spoke to Ellie about anything. Yes Ellie knows he’s lying but there’s nothing that can be done about it now
Look, here’s what I DO know, in regards to the second game:
In The Last of Us Part II, Ellie becomes a goddamn one-woman RECON PLATOON!
Seriously, look up some shit on RUclips about Ellie’s best kills in the second game. It WILL IMPRESS you.
This girl is supposed to become a world-class WARRIOR… which is THE main selling point of the entire franchise, in my opinion.
Just thought you should know. That girl becomes a badass WARRIOR. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing that in the next season. I also hope that you and all other fans of the series are also looking forward to the same.
