Un medley de trois morceaux, "Windy and Warm" de J.D Loudermilk, suivi de "My Town" et "Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow" de Chet Atkins.
Cette version medley est enregistrée par Marcel Dadi en 1974 sur son album N°3(Transatlantic Records).

j'ai le sentiment d'écouter à nouveau Marcel Dadi, trop vite disparu. Je rends hommage aux autres, mais c'est surtout Marcel qui m'a fait connaitre ces petits chefs d'oeuvre
Je partage votre avis, j'ai découvert Marcel Dadi en 73 (j'avais 13 ans...) lors de la sortie de son album n°1 et l'ai toujours suivi tout au long de sa carrière. Hélas il nous a quitté bien trop tôt... Il a fait découvrir à la France entière, un style de guitare, mais surtout une philosophie de partage de la musique novatrice par la mise à disposition, dans chacun de ses albums, l'ensemble des tablatures de ceux-ci, permettant à chaque auditeur, de pratiquer l'instrument. Un grand bonhomme qui mérite tout notre respect. Chauffe Marcel !!😋

Merci Scorpion pour ce gentil message. J'ai rencontré Marcel à une démonstration Taylor à l'époque à Metz en 94 je crois... Il a eu ce jour là l'occasion de m'entendre jouer. Je n'oublierais jamais les mots qu'il a eu l'occasion de me dire ce jour là... Je ne cesserais de rendre hommage à cet homme trop tôt disparu...🥲

This rendition is pure talent, crisp and clean...beautiful in its own way. The only thing missing is the feeling, its very much on the surface lacking the emotion that goes hand in hand with the tune. Thank you for sharing! You have a gift.

As I listen to this piece, I hear pure perfection. You’ve opened up a can of worms when it comes to feeling any emotion. This type of playing sounds like ragtime to me. A very strict tempo and rhythm. I don’t hear a whole lot of emotion in any of this style playing, including Tommy Emmanuel. There’s just too much going on with way too many restrictions on the beat. That’s just my opinion. I am not an expert in any sense. I did find that he used a nice vibrato, some thing that most playing this style don’t incorporate. I would be interested to hear more informed opinions than mine on the subject. 😊
@thomasbradshaw110 I agree, it is perfection. But not all perfection delivers emotion. I was speaking with Tommy Emanuel after a show and that's one thing he stressed that you can play something over and over to perfection but at the point the feeling and emotion are both delivered and received is where the music lives... almost at at the expense of perfection

Merci jcBillet pour ce commentaire, je crois que Marcel manque à bon nombre de guitariste. Travailler et jouer des morceaux qui ont fait sa popularité est une façon de combler ce manque... Quant au "Son Ovation", il a marqué son époque effectivement, le temps passe...😉😊

I never use many effects in general. Here, after equalisation, I put a slight flanger. That's it.😉
