    I built mine, my two notes would be,
    1.if youre doing a 30x30 esc/fc stack. Youll need to have some 25mm bolts for it because it doesnt come with any screws to fit that stack.
    2. When you put your xt60 on be fucking careful as the slot that the xt60 comes out of is a bit tight and can tear into your wire. Found out the hard way and lit up part of my frame from the angle I did. Also adding the capacitor in was pain....
    Besides that ita my first whoop. Got 9min flight times with 1950kv motors and germfan 5 bladed duct fans.
    Only issue id say is the tightness like he mentioned but it isnt that bad.

      @tescokrecklesspk 6 месяцев назад +1

      hey man i also did build one with a 30x30 stack and needed to get some 20mm bolts but i only get 4 min flight times... what pwm frequency is your esc on?

    • @LoopyAnh
      @LoopyAnh 6 месяцев назад

      @tescokrecklesspk I'm not to sure. I just left it stock with whatever the speedybee f7 stack comes with.
      Yeah the bolts was infuriating I luckily had some but it's something that many don't have.
      Also what size bat. I'm using 6s 1300mah 1950kv and a gem fan 6 bladed props. I havnt tried any other ones but I think the props are the key as I just have a stock tune.

    I put 2004 1750kv in mine and also use it with the 11 mini. Smooth flier and great flight time. I used the 5 blade d90 and like the sound and feel.

      I've used it with a 6s 18650 and get like 10 or 11 min. I get about 5 or 6 min with an 1100mah lipo.

    Thanks for another great video. Timely too. I am in the middle of a very similar build. My motors and props are a bit different and I am using INAV instead of BetaFlight but same frame, FC, ESC etc. Bummer today though. During flight testing/tuning I had what I thought was a fairly light crash. Destroyed the right rear prop and dislodged one motor wire. I replaced the prop, re-soldered the motor wire and thought I was good to go but the quad would not arm. I decided to check the outputs in INAV but the quad will not connect. Hmmm. I re-flashed INAV 7 onto the FC and that seemed to go ok but the quad will STILL NOT connect to INAV. I think I may have fried the ESC and/or the FC. It is the SpeedyBee 35 amp F405 mini stack. It's my first time using this particular stack. I have the full size F405 V4 with 55 amp ESC in my 7" quad with no issues. Maybe the 35 amp ESC on 6s sustained a voltage spike during the crash and smoked the ESC? I'm not sure yet. I'll do some testing with the multimeter but wanted to put this info out there in case anyone reading this has had similar experience. Any thoughts?

    • @Sonic_Ox
      @Sonic_Ox 9 месяцев назад

      The plot thickens. I am able to connect to BetaFlight but not to INAV... really weird. I can flash either firmware to the flight controller normally but then can only connect to BetaFlight, not INAV. Might be the strangest problem I've encountered in FPV so far lol. Oh well, I've wanted to learn BetaFlight better anyway. I know this isn't really the proper forum for my blather but I thought some of your viewers might offer their experience. Happy flying amigo. 🍻

      Have you tried impulse rc driver fixer? If I can't connect to BF I'll run it once, then unplug the usb to get out of DFU mode and then when I plug it back in it'll work every time. I assume you had install the supplied capacitor on the esc power tabs?

    • @Sonic_Ox
      @Sonic_Ox 9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the reply and suggestions. Yes I did install the capacitor (always do). I now believe the motors/FC/ESCs are undamaged as they appear to be perfectly fine when configured in BetaFlight. Your suggestion about the driver fixer is a good one. I had to use it when I originally installed INAV. I didn't think of that this time though because the firmware (both) flashed just fine and DFU mode was normal for both firmwares. The problem came when I attempted to actually connect to INAV. I will experiment with the driver fixer though and see if that solves it. In the meantime I will run the quad in BetaFlight because I've been meaning to become better acquainted with it. I'm exploring the presets now and am using this video as a tuning guide. Thanks again for the great video and for the reply and advice. Happy flying amigo. 🍻

    Must be loud like most cinewhoops right? I believe only the 5 blade props make it a little less noisy.

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  9 месяцев назад

      My buddy has the cinelog 30 I think it is, and the Bee 35 is for sure quieter. I'd say comparable to a 5" for sound. Not as loud as some cinewhoops.

    • @Sonic_Ox
      @Sonic_Ox 9 месяцев назад

      I've tried 3 blades, 5 blades, and 8 blades. To my ears, the 8 blades are the quietest. Or the least unpleasant anyway lol. Maybe it's the frequency and not the decibel level but the 8 blades aren't too bad.

      @@FalconRadFPV yeah, the bigger the prop, the less rpm it needs to keep enough thrust. Try the HQ 90mmx4 props maybe. They make awesome props.

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  9 месяцев назад +1

      A cinewhoop won't do to well chasing a wing. He'd probably want a light weight 6 or 7" to keep up with a wing for an extended amount of time.

    Hi. You said you had to change the props because of some vibes? The reason I ask is that I am getting resonance through the frame i guess using 8 blades. Its sound like a honing sort of noise when applying more throttle. Thanks for you flicks by the way. They are awesome.

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  8 месяцев назад +1

      The stock tune is for tri-blade props. If you want to use 5 or 8 blade props you'll need to lower the PID's a bit or at least the master slider probably.

    Is there any reason for installing the motors upside down?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  3 месяца назад +1

      Having the motor on the underside of the frame makes the sound louder but also decreases the vibrations created by the propellers thrust column interacting with the frame. I'm experimenting with the same thing on a 7" right now.
