I really enjoy watching these old videos of the FDNY, I grew up in NYC in the 60's, 70's, 80's, etc. I also can't help but think how many of the members we're seeing in these videos did we lose on 9\11.
Reminds me of my dad, who worked in a South Bronx firehouse in the 70’s when there was so much arson. Wish he were still alive to ask him about his days.
Climbing on the roof as usual while they ignore the Visible Burning Material that is threatening the victims and entering firefighters. Brilliant! They should have Deck Gunned those windows using tank water within the first minute of arrival. Now they have allowed the fire to entire the cockloft so the top floor and roof will be a write off.

The only building on Simpson Street that was still standing was the police department.
Going window to window with the Tower with a straight tip. Classic
The deck gun would have done it much faster. Long before they could set the ladder up.
Thank you for your dedicated, honorable, Service, fellas. ❤🖤🙏
Things that haven't changed..selflessness, courage, and heart!
No Scott packs on the fire escape, in the bucket. Tue bucket got pretty damn close to the heat too. Crazy bunch of fellas. Love it.
My father was a ff.in.ladder.38.eng.88. Ray Camacho
I fuckin love engine 72
what was that stuff fixed on the front of engine 72? (and note the roll up doors on that mack! pretty unusual for that times!)
E72 was always highly customized by the company. They carried a diamondplate tray of 1-3/4” mounted up on front….
Whoever put music over this should be banned from editing fire videos.
Facts
I believe this was like this originally. I remember these videos sometimes having some cheezy muzak.
