My now deceased Uncle Gene O'Neill was in The Animal House E75 L33 when the Bronx was burning. I wrote some old timers from Ladder 33 Engine 75 after his passing they sent me old photos of him. For Christmas I had the 4 photos framed and gave them to my 4 brothers. I inherited his fire helmet and American Flag from his passing I keep on display.

God bless him. May he rest in peace. NEVER sell that helmet.
My father, FF Mario L Cassini. Served his entire career at "The Animal House"
What the firefighters used to call the ¨war years¨: low budget, city broke and a lot of fires
15k runs WITHOUT ems runs. Now it's flipped. Bulk of runs EMS, low volume of fire duty.
Used to hear EMS runs referred to as "crap runs".
God bless you Uncle Lou - I’ll never forget seeing Santa here every Christmas - I was terrified of him 🤣

Yup! A real Federal Q siren. Imagine! In NYC no less. Supposedly, allegedly, they aren't allowed. Yea, ok.
From videos I’ve seen recently of newer trucks and engines, sounds like they’re starting to come back
