What is going on in the belfry?

In light of me co-teach two new members of the Heddington band, I made this video as they were struggling in connecting what happens upstairs when ringing.
I go through, testing the bell to see if the bell is down, ringing up, ringing at a steady pace, setting at both strokes and then ringing down.
I realise that my technique is not perfect to ART standards, but it is a good demonstration of what goes on upstairs when ringing!

Its really helpful to connect what goes on upstairs! As someone who knows what goes on upstairs, I could explain it all I could possible do it, and the learner still would have a little bit of trouble understanding. I guess its hard to comprehend that the bell swings a full 180 degrees!
