  • Meant to be seven agonies, but I recorded this with the subtitles off so I didnt realise I was wrong till now lmaooooooo
    If it looks like my transitions are badly cut out its because I gave up because photoshop is really really annoying.
    Anyway, sorry for the delay, need more inspiration.
    The other movies I showed were;
    Mad Monkey Kung Fu
    Five Venoms
    White Christmas
    Funny Face
    The clip from the tv show with the calligraphy tbh I don't know where that's from I saw it on twitter.

    My favorite was the art appreciation scene. The footwork is just amazing!

    The abstract plot summary as an intro action sequence is genius.
    There's one misplaced comedy scene near the end that seems to drag on forever, but oh well. I also sorta wish the movie didn't handicap Gordon Liu (one of the best screen fighters) halfway through the movie, but the movie's whole thing is that every fight has some odd gimmick, so we end up getting the wheelchair fight, etc.
    Anyway, this is basically Lau Kar Leung's best fight choreography I think, next to maybe Shaolin Mantis, Martial Arts of Shaolin and Shaolin vs. Wu-tang. (These movies sure do have Shaolin in the titles a lot.)

      This was my first Gordon Liu and seeing another after without him i was like "damn i miss him already" i think the handicap works out well because it lets them weapon swap at the end with the staff and the combo between them is so cool.

      I know, I love stuff like that. That's what cinema is all about (even though the clip is from some tv show)

      Those are on my list! I have been able to see about 8 of his directed films and who knows how many of his choreographed films so far! I look forward to seeing both of those when I get the chance!

    Meant to be 7 agonies not 7 aunties. That's my bad for watching it with no subtitles and skipping past it the last 2 times lol

      They knew fine well what they were doing! In Chinese the movie is called something like "what a bad head" so they must have known and did that just for us
