Donovan O'Leary I get what you're saying, but I feel like no one in the social experiment is really doing it for recognition. If they were, we wouldn't have this video and instead just more people selling out
D. Ellis Rates Yeah Chance himself is trying to divert attention to Donnie Trumpet and the social experiment but in interviews and in the media everyone just focuses on Chance
Difference between Chance and every other rapper, he's always spreading and expressing joy and positivity. He doesn't care about the money or trying to make mainstream music. He may never be the greatest rapper, lyricist but he'll always be a great person.
hopsin is literally trash like iggy might be better. as far as kendrick, his music is not always positive. if you take out "i" almost none of his music is positive. some joints on section 80 are but other than that he's pretty ruthless (in a good way obviously)
+thelankytank you must obviously not heard the OD but I'm sure you heard Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, Now Or Never, or Compton State Of Mind, as far as Hopsin his stories are amazing and his lyrical content is what 95% of the existing state of rap don't have anymore. In conclusion fuck Iggy, buttplug forehead lookin Ass.
im passing through a kind of tough time and life, and music is the only thing lifting me up. and the pinacle of it is you, chance. thanks for making my life só much more bearable
You know, we talk about what great attributes Kendrick brings to the game, and there is no doubt he is helping keep Hip-Hop alive, but nobody should ever overlook Chance when it comes to that category. He hasn't even dropped his debut album yet, and already, with the help of Social Experiment, he's making such positive, moving, and inspiring Hip-Hop music. Hip-Hop music of the likes that I've never really heard before if I do say so myself. He's keeping Hip-Hop alive just by doing the little stuff he's been doing, but he is doing it differently. It's something I can't even describe, but whatever it is, it's great. Making great sounding music. It doesn't get much better than this. Thumbs up, and thank you Chance, Social Experiment, and anybody else involved.
Devin Menge Yeah man, it is such fantastic stuff. I don't even know what "rap" is though. I'm convinced, or actually, I'm certain rap is not a thing. I refuse to even use the word rap out of the context "He/She raps, is rapping." Hip-Hop is the truth, and the actual music. But this is different. This is Hip-Hop, and so much more. It's almost like an experience just by hearing it, and viewing it, and that is when it really gets crazy good.
i know what you mean. Nowadays a lot of rappers are blurring the lines between rapping & singing, it makes you question if there even is a line. I think rap as a vocal style is going to be a lot bigger than hip hop as a culture. like you see people rapping in other languages, in other genres, i think it is just going to become another tool of music as a whole.
Best rapper no need to label him I dont even think it can be or should be classified as gospel rap just good postive music. . Just real plus when we say "gospel" it automatically turns some peoples ears off... im a day one fan happy to see him do it his way # motivation
well if they got turned off because someone classifies it as a gospel rap then fuck em. it's named Sunday candy, come on. it's obviously going to have a theme of religion, specifically Christianity.
I found this song about a month after my grandma passed, and it was the jam, everyday 10 times a day, for years. thank you bro, I related so much. We’re Mexican but every word related so much, first time listening took me to when I first ever made tamales at 5yrs old with her , and how she always took care of us, giving us a dollar just to buy something from the 99cent store even tho she was broke her self from paying the bills. Home cooked meals from scratch. story’s about wisdom, she raised me as much as my parents did. Felt like distant cousins, been a fan ever seen, I caught your set at rolling loud 2019 in LA, and can’t wait to go to one of your solo shows now, but play some more of that acid rap next time bruh, some family matters. Loved it bro, keep grinding chance, 65th and ingleside has been my go to, to keep me strong to remember the great times I had with my ex of 5 yrs, shoulda got her as pregnant like you dawg 😂😂😂 either way I’m staying positive to get my family back because of my short comings as a man. Since then you’ve made me want to become a better person. I don’t get hung up over false prophets or artist, as we’re all humans but your story does give me hope that we can always find our way back. You inspire the youth, hope you see this chance love you dawg.
what music is made for, .. got introduced this right as my brother got his license in the car in like 2016 brining back so many memories from over they years.
Your BA$ED God Feels like Kids These Days replaced Vic with Chano and turned into an RnB/Soul group called Social Experiment. I am a fan of both rappers ... I agree that it is interesting to see the different paths that their careers have gone.
My grandmother passed away last week, and at the time I knew it was coming and didn't really dwell on it thinking I had accepted it and was okay. But then I listened to this song yesterday and then on repeat for the next hour and it was like a wave crashing over me. I remember going to church with her, she was always dressed up and in the winter wore this red peacoat. She use to make homemade bread all the time, holidays, after school, birthdays, whatever. I would give anything to sit beside her in a church pew and be able to fill a plate with her bread. Looking back I can see everything she did for me so vividly, from hand-sewn Halloween costumes, homemade baked goods, waiting at the end of my street when it was raining to drive me to my house after I got off the bus. I can smell her kitchen and taste those baked goods and it's so weird knowing I'll never experience those sensations again.
Chance coming through with some cool visuals instead of a regular rap video with booty shaking & weed, Tyler gets his props as well too, I'm liking where hip hop is headed
Chance, I love how you made this basically a broadway production! It beats so many other music videos. I can see the EFFORT & ENERGY in everyone. Thanks for crediting every single person that had anything to do with this videos. Even the most minimal job 🥰
I am a grown ass man that raps and I am in tears. This is great art! I am so happy for Donnie, Chance, Peter and The SOX! I'm crying tears of joy for this dope ass piece of art. I'm also crying sadly because my grandmother passed 9 months ago. But then again tears of joy because I know she's in a better place at at peace. #SundayCandy helps the grieving process A LOT!
So Chance the rapper is a great dancer. Plus, I love the different genres in the song... reggae, soul(some gospel even), pop, hip-hop, jazz... list is endless tbh. Also, Ian Eastwood still killing it as per usual!
I just wanted to thank Chance for this song. My grandmother has been given only weeks to live and I heard this song a while back. It defined my grandmother to the tee. After playing this song, I found acceptance in my grandmother's plight. Thank you
Update: My grandmother departed 6 AM on Tuesday May 21, 2019. The family was arguing and I played this song and we all started listening and crying. Then we started sharing memories. For me she was my mother and until the end encouraged me. I know Chance may never see this post, but again thank you
Impossible to listen to this song and not want to smile. There's so much positive vibes coming off the people in this, like they're just having a blast. Love it.
Jamila Woods on the hook is the best part of the song by far. I actually got to hang out with her a few weeks ago. She's one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
My granny passed 5 years ago, and this song still makes me feel close to her. I come back to every once in a while just because of how happy it made it me feel the first time. And how happy it still makes me to hear.
I love so many things about this. I love you Grandmom, and think about you everyday, knowing you’re up there looking after me. I love positivity and upbeat chorus. And I love Chicago, and Chance’s passion and pride for our city. Everything about this song makes me listen to it daily. It’s a masterpiece.
I know this is supposed to a song for the feel good But I lost my grandmother a little over three years ago and every time I hear this song it makes me think of her and makes me realize that my life hasn’t been the same since she’s been gone. August _5SOS i think i heard in an interview that growing up he wasn't exposed to a lot of music. he primarily listened to gospel and i think you can hear that influence in his music.
+Dia Nolas Yeah he's there since the beginning :) @0:20 The three dancers sitting at the table? He's the one on the front right, with the brown ascot hat
+Ewcia Tran He choreographed this song with chance. If you look in the description it says Directed by Austin Vesely, Ian Eastwood & Chance The Rapper. That's why he is the video
I also came here to watch this MV after seeing the Honda Heart commercial. This is the first time I heard it in full, but it is very good. I wonder why I never had a chance to listen to this song before. I am glad to know such a good song!
chance deserves to be the biggest rapper that the world has ever seen man.. did you not see that?! I personally believe this guy is the most talented artist out there. His music makes you feel good! You can feel and see the passion in this guy and i have no doubt in my mind that he will be the next big thing! Your awesome Chance.
I've been thinking about by grandmother recently ( well she's always on my mind really ) she kept me alive - a beautiful & joy filled homage - thank you. Hey grandma!
If I could ever have someone look at me like Jamilla Woods looked at this camera, I'd probably melt like a light skinned ice cream cone on a paved july parkinglot.
+GryndStone FUCKED MAN I was just about to say that When he rolled up in the red car and they hopped in like it was nothing, best part of the video for me.
This song makes me think of my grandma and my dad who passed away 3 years ago and 2 years ago, respectively. Every time I hear this, I always cry because I'm always thinking of them. It hasn't been the same without them and I miss them.
one time I got a notification for a video and I clicked on it, I looked at the like and dislike buttons and there was already a dislike on it. it was only released for about 15 seconds and the video was about 9 minutes long. so yeah there's people on RUclips who just dislike every video they watch.
Chance is a force to be reckoned with. Makes great music, videos/productions, and partners with people he believes in. I mean the social experiment is so dope.
People need to give Donnie Trumpet some more credit. Chance isn't the only one in this partnership
Donovan O'Leary Why not give them all credit.... Peter Cottontale, Nate Fox, and Stixx
Lol His name is literally the first thing in the title! But people still only see Chance, that kinda sucks
Donovan O'Leary If you open up the description it's actually touching how many people are mentioned as being involved.
This video makes me so happy to be young and to be part of this generation
+Prudential Yeah true but not also true. I'd love to see the 20's and 60's through my own eyes and experience. But sadly i can't :/
This makes me happy to be somone listening to chance
***** of course, sorry about that! i didn't mean it in that way, i meant it in the musical kind way. Sorry about the inconvenience hahaha.
***** the mafia at that time was the shit, you're my kind of person lmao
+Prudential Yeah but this video isn't very representative of this generation?
I wish I could unhear this song so I can feel what I felt when I first heard it
I have an idea... Go listen to Young Thug for a week then come back to this.
It will be refreshing.
I actually kinda like young thug tho 😳
Fallon Willimas hahahahah
+Fallon Willimas let me correct his mistake go listen to iggy for 1 hr then come back and listen to this

Is no one going to say anything about Jamila Woods' voice? Her tone is perfect for this song
Aaron Wierbinski I agree. Her voice is perfect for this song
Beautiful voice
Need not be said, we heard it for ourselves. Such a voice can't be sufficiently appreciated, ever, really.
She stole the show, I keep coming back just to hear her verses again
Jamila has a beautiful voice :)))))

It would be awesome if he did an entire concert in this theatre style...

so if he.. you know.. did a musical
He did it at the Greek Theatre in LA last weekend and it was amazing

+Ewcia Tran He choreographed this song with chance. If you look in the description it says Directed by Austin Vesely, Ian Eastwood & Chance The Rapper. That's why he is the video
Omg I didn't even notice and the reason I watched this was to find him and to see chance of course!
Who
I also came here to watch this MV after seeing the Honda Heart commercial. This is the first time I heard it in full, but it is very good. I wonder why I never had a chance to listen to this song before. I am glad to know such a good song!
This song is golden. 7 years later and i still listen to it. Thank you Chance
Everything about this is beautiful.

I discovered Chance the rapper around 2013 through his highly acclaimed "Acid rap" this guy is truly underrated.
With all due respect, this is possibly becoming the best year in Hip-Hop ever. Appreciate it!
This is the best song ever and the video is so underrated. It's all amazing!!
*This is a happy song that will make you cry tears of nostalgia in 10 or so years*
2015: chance makes a nearly flawless song
2019: I LOVE MY WIFE, IGH
Did u know he loves his wife?

He used to be so good 😔
@@Junya-Rey he still is
Love this song
chance deserves to be the biggest rapper that the world has ever seen man.. did you not see that?!
Why the fuck is this song making me cry?
Like really? Am I the only one?
I cried. lol
+666 KTA o
+666 KTA OMG AREN'T YOU JUST SUCH AN EDGY OF FAN..
I get it. this reminds me of my family and my grandma a whole lot
+Corey Bertelsen You're not the only one! I can't lie, I started crying thinking about all that my grandmother has done for me in my life.
まっっって!!やっと見つけた😭1度聞いてから頭から離れなくて、リアルに3年探した、、鼻歌のアプリとかYahoo知恵遅れとかめっちゃ漁りまくって悩んで悩んで、やっとぉぉおおおお
Yahoo知恵遅れは草
If I could ever have someone look at me like Jamilla Woods looked at this camera, I'd probably melt like a light skinned ice cream cone on a paved july parkinglot.
Daniel Reynolds her voice and eyes together are entirely too captivating.
MTCTV but her braids are messed up
jurney bailey but they're not :(
jurney bailey So?
jurney bailey I personally think she makes a cute lil grandma lol
This song makes me miss my grandma who passed away last year. Gotta appreciate our loved ones while they're still with us
I still play this song multiple times a week! It's a family favorite.
Still!
In my eyes it's Chance, Cole, Kendrick, Logic, and Joey Bad keeping hip hop alive right now. That's just my opinion.
Eric Diaz Yup. I'd add Bronson to the list too, but I know he's not for everyone.
Eric Diaz what? no childish?
Logic sucks imo, I don't know why everybody lists him
Why do people always sleep on lupe and run the jewels:(
LV he's just generic to me, he can rap but he has nothing interesting to say
I ain't seen no one else talkin bout it but straight up thought the car at 2:03 just fuckin KILLED the dudes on the bench
+GryndStone LOL, I just noticed that. I'm dying right now xD
No he didn't... He was in front of them
+GryndStone FUCKED MAN I was just about to say that When he rolled up in the red car and they hopped in like it was nothing, best part of the video for me.
+Ajay Bandagonda Key word " Thought "
This song makes me think of my grandma and my dad who passed away 3 years ago and 2 years ago, respectively. Every time I hear this, I always cry because I'm always thinking of them. It hasn't been the same without them and I miss them.
2024 anyone?
Yessir. Peak Chano
yessir!!
Early check in for 2025

MVも良かったですよ👏⭐⭐
I always come back to this song when i need a pick me up...today has been one of those days. so thankful for this track
Nope, I’m singing along because you are singing about my grandma too. ❤❤❤
How anyone could dislike this is beyond me
one time I got a notification for a video and I clicked on it, I looked at the like and dislike buttons and there was already a dislike on it. it was only released for about 15 seconds and the video was about 9 minutes long. so yeah there's people on RUclips who just dislike every video they watch.
Wait for the Moment - Vulfpeck.
apparently only 777 people have heard of it.
I think most are bots
They liked it so much they decided to turn their phones upside down and like it again.
S A H i B true
Those foot works, man, those are some Ian's choreography.
Chance is a force to be reckoned with. Makes great music, videos/productions, and partners with people he believes in. I mean the social experiment is so dope.
I don't even know how many times this has put me in a good mood! CHANCE IS AMAZING!!!!
we love jamila & chance together
