    they assured me that i can import car witch was actually considered as a scrap in my country. I realized later on that car cant be registered in my country and a risk a fine of 50.000 USD. But they didnt care and they charged my about 1600 usd for the cancellation fees. its a robbery, they are not taking any resposibility for what they are saying. Complete ZERO for me.

    Autobidmaster and copart are big scammers!! Highly disappointed. I called before coming and was told it was ok to pick up car. After five hour trip copart refused to let me drive car off lot. In person told I need registration and license plate and registration appointment to pick car up. Im still heated paying $219 really pissed me off. Never again, let me know over phone what I need to pick up car, stop charging outrageous storage fees when you won't allow me to drive car off lot. The reception was horrible. Complete disaster, extremely unhappy.

      Well you legally can't drive it off without that right? I've only bought from local auctions + IAAI but always bring a dolly to tow car out, but if you mean they don't even let you do that i would have to reconsider buying from copart

      In theory, you can drive it off. I've seen it done. They call it a drive out. I've also seen yards say you can't. You'd need to ask the yard if they allow it. However, I would greatly caution you on driving them out - I've bought several run/drive/clear titles that needed a pile of work to be road worthy.

      You don't need both. You can do it with autobidmaster if you are not going to inspect it. According to the support docs a proxy user can inspect if they pay a per vehicle fee. I've not tried it so I can't verify.

    • @BootstrapRevival
      @BootstrapRevival  Год назад +2

      I've bought 9 vehicles through these guys. I want to say its normally 7-10 days depending on when the weekend falls. The local copart has to Fed-Ex it to Oregon, AutoBidMaster puts their transfer sticker on the title and Fed-ex's it back to you. As for the tags - no temp tags are issued. I would generally recommend spending a few days looking over the car to make sure its road worthy. As the saying goes not all cars at the auction are junk.....but all the junk cars are at the auction.

      You can place a refundable deposit to bid on up to 8 vehicles at a time. I'm typically bidding on 1-2 at a time so I don't need that much. The deposit is eligible to be returned when the vehicle is paid for. As for how many you can buy in a year? I don't think they limit it.

    I like this video.
    Have couple questions ?
    How much is membership $/ per year
    Lets say you want to buy car for 10 000$ , how much are fees to Autobid and Coparts together or separate ?
    Do they have byuing power ? Like Copart
    Can you inspect car at Copart lot? If not how much is to inspect car fees?
    Thanks

    • @BootstrapRevival
      @BootstrapRevival  5 месяцев назад

      Hey, great questions!
      You can see the differences in memberships in the link below. I personally have the Premium for $350. I like the 20 vin checks, and lower fees. I think if you buy 2 cars a year it's worth it. Different membership levels have different fees. Most of these fees are from Copart itself. I've had a membership there (and at IAAI) and their fees are always more than I want to pay.
      There is cool final price estimator on AutoBidMaster's site. For me a $10.000 car would look this:
      Final Bid $10,000 USD
      Auction Fees $1,188 USD
      Autobidmaster Transaction Fee $400 USD
      Documentation Fee $139 USD
      Total $11,727 USD
      They do have buying power. I typically just a credit card when I want to bid. They will put a 10% hold on your card.
      AutoBidMaster says on their site you can inspect. I've not tried it. All my copart walk arounds were on my old copart membership.
      Hope that helps.

    Did they put your name on the actual title or do they keep it blank?

    • @BootstrapRevival
      @BootstrapRevival  9 месяцев назад

      They are a dealer. Copart (as a dealer) assigns the title to AutobidMaster, AutoBidMaster assigns it to you. You get a blue paper from Oregon that says assignment of title and odometer disclosure. Your name is printed on that paper. You take the original title and the blue paper to the DMV and they will give you a title. It sounds weird but dealerships pass titles around all the time like that.

    Question, whats the best membership to get im seeing they say percentages for the transaction fees. So if I have the advanced membership and purchase a $10,000 car will they really charge me 7%? Help me out man...

    • @BootstrapRevival
      @BootstrapRevival  5 месяцев назад

      I personally bought the premium that charges 4%. I think if you buy more than one car a year it will save you cash.
      The fees suck but unfortunately its industry standard. Any auction site or live auction (other than eBay) will charge the buyer a premium. Most live auctions I go to are upwards of 10% - including land and houses....talk about painful.
      Those fees charged by copart and passed on to the buyer through the broker. I've had a membership with them (and IAAI) and those fees are their fees to stay in business. The sale price actually goes to the owner (and is what is recorded to the DMV). I like the final price estimator AutoBidMaster has on their website. It keeps me wrangled in on what I buy. If it is a 10k bid I generally factor in 1k in fees.
