    Hi, I just found your channel today. I also have severe ME (although the last year I got a bit better and I’m less severe). Your video’s made me feel less alone today. It breaks my heart you are having a tough time. I wish you all the best and that you get some relief better times soon. Keep courage! Big hug ❤️

    I’m sorry. How that person treated you is infuriating. Getting out in general is hard, especially in the morning. If people were more understanding towards others the world would be a much better place. Praying you get some peace and quiet and a new home soon.❤️

    Hi Georgina, I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for doing what you do!
    I live with an undiagnosed illness that makes me partially dependent on catheters and unable to move about very far due to fatigue. It recently worsened to this point, where my life is basically on stand by and nothing is as it was. Can't even begin to express what your videos have meant to me on the darkest of times. I just feel a lot less alone in this chaos, I'm now aware that getting the right diagnosis will sometimes take time and, most importantly, that there are others out there - a whole community of people from all walks of life who deal with invisible illness.
    Thank you so much for sharing your journey with Ehlers-Danlos and for just being a kind and empathetic soul. I hope you realise just what a difference you make❤
    All the best
    Trine

      Hi lovely, I’m so sorry you’re going through all of that, I’m bedbound most days (& on the days I can get up, it’s not for long) so I completely understand how bad fatigue can be (& is), and also I use catheters too so I know what that struggle is like too with awful infections. But you’re right, you’re not alone in all this, even when it feels like it, try to think of us going through this together, it’s not nice to think we’re both struggling, but it’s nice to know you share these experiences with someone and it sounds like we have some shared experiences with all of this. Have you seen my video that’s a couple of months in the life with M.E? That one shows what I actually go through pretty well with everything, if you ever want to watch something like that as I can’t actually move around anywhere near as much as it seems in my sit down videos like this one 😅 I have a couple of ideas that you could look into for your undiagnosed illnesses, would you like me to share them with you? Don’t want to just say it in case that’s unsolicited, oh & I also have a tips & advice video for people living with an undiagnosed illness that may be helpful or comforting x

      @@GeorginasJourney the surgeon I need to see is in another state and the government run insurance I have is through the state I live in. They don't have to deal with out of state doctors so they are refusing to work with her. I have seen two neurosurgeons in my state and they are denying diagnosis and therefore treatment. I'm still just slowly becoming parylized below the waist. I'm trying to get a custom manual wheelchair, but that is taking forever and appears thst paperwork isn't being sent to places properly etc. So much red tape.

    Animals KNOW when they have found a good safe person. So glad Effie has found you! We had to move two times- sold our condo- because of terrible neighbors who made so much noise that it made my health decline and I ended up in the hospital. If I had to do it again I would have moved immediately even if I had to borrow money and max out credit cards to get some peace while we dealt with landlords, realtors or moving companies.

    • @GeorginasJourney

      Thank you so much ☺️ And I’m so glad you’re out now! Here, I have no way of moving even if I borrowed money & I don’t have a credit card. I’ve made a lot of past videos about how I physically can’t move here, it’s completely out of my control even though I can afford to rent, landlords won’t let me as I’m disabled (this is the simplified version)

  • @sjhhh8101

    Please georgina it's better to move. It unfair but they will pretend you refused and prevent your direct offer. The housing ombudsman are the local council overseers.

      They haven’t let me move, I didn’t choose to be here 😌 I said in the video how they wouldn’t let me and then I couldn’t even get into the application, I evidenced it all in the video

      From the video it seems she wants to move?? But they aren't letting her?? Which, if G has the strength to is a "shout disability discrimination from the rooftops, go to local papers, find free legal representation etc" kinda job. But that's not easy - I'm happy to try smd help in any way ❤❤❤

    • @GeorginasJourney

      There’s a very big possibility they would have someone who works full time too, it’s a really horrible system!
      The door is accessible at that flat! But definitely not the bathroom & I’m not sure about the bedroom 🤔

  • @smudge8882
    @smudge8882 Год назад

    Unfortunately, when you mention to landlords or employers about your disability before you get the apartment or job, they often discriminate. I've learned the hard way to not give more information than is strictly necessary. In your situation, I'd have probably just said, "Mornings don't work for me. Could we do sometime in the afternoon?" and just left it at that.
    It's awful that the disabled often have to do this.
    Regardless, I'm happy for you about the bunny and wheelchair! Congrats! :) I hope those can make your life happier.

    • @GeorginasJourney
      @GeorginasJourney  Год назад +1

      The flat was an accessible flat that only a person with a disability is allowed to live in, and this is part of our housing scheme for people on extremely low incomes- it’s not a rented flat from a landlord, so they cannot turn people down (it actually exists solely for people who cannot rent privately), so it’s not a typical renting situation!
      Thanks, she’s a hamster 😊

    Please fill out your council complaint form if they don't amend then you go to the local government housing ombudsman. Document and forward these responses.
