I was able to find a neat planner at my local Stables that has a a page for bullet journaling or planning on one side and 4 seperate sections on the other for a to do list, reminders, notes and the day's date. It takes well to my zebra pens and mild liners and is only $8. It works well to help me keep track of everything coming up. Not sure what the name brand is.
@@ketchup016 Yeah, aside from work, bills and the occasional doctor visit, my planner is usually pretty empty. I started creating personal projects like writing a book and my inspiration scrapbook to it.
Another idea is something that I see on Instagram are anime journals, anime fans write about what they watch or what manga they’ve read and their overall opinions about them. And the same with Kpop too, Kpop fans can write about their thoughts about the new music videos, new songs, new albums, stuff like that.
It doesn’t have to be anime or kpop. I just mention those cuz I mostly see it on my Instagram feed. It can be any tv show, film, book, musician, artist, or boy/girl group that you like.
With this pandemic my planner became empty, so I started a Kpop journal and took it as an opportunity to improve my English writing skills, since it's not my first language. I'm having so much fun and it has been an amazing tool for dealing with the stress of isolation.
HikariChoi I’m starting an anime journal today! I just need to wait for it to arrive in the mail... I’ve already cut out headers and pictures for my first 5 or so spreads, oops😅
Ive been avoiding this video because usually i dont see great suggestions out of these kinds of videos, but im happily surprised - there are some great suggestions here, and they aren't particularly a big stretch to do and stick to, mentally. There isn't an overabundance of habit tracking recommendations, which can be stifling for a lot of people. I appreciate how they suggested more artistic directions that people could take their planners towards.
This definitely strikes the right tone for these strange times! I have heard of so many people getting discouraged about their journals and planners now, but I will link them to this for inspiration. Thank you!
i loved a lot of these ideas. My favorite part of having a bullet journal also is the adaptability. I can set up a monthly calendar make a week + memo spread or even do a page a day
This is a nice reminder of how time stopped for awhile at this point in the pandemic, and ways of dealing with time when it seems time doesn't matter. The tone is gentle and forgiving, and I hope you keep this one up,, as a document.
I was lucky to find an undated one with bullet pages as well as pages with lines for list and a calendar to mark the date. It takes well to my zebra pens and mild liners.
The weekly meals idea is brilliant! My boyfriend is a very picky eater, and I have a hard time remembering what new meals I make that he actually likes so I always revert back to the same 4 meals. Writing them down and flagging the successful ones is going to be such a game changer for me lol
This is such a nice video for ideas :) I have a hobonochi weeks I’ve actually been using more since quarantine! If anyone wants any ideas, I use yearly as a color coded mood tracker, monthly for deadlines, weekly for to do lists, and the notes in a back as a daily journal. I think planners are a good habit right now to find stability and organization
I laughed so hard at the title when RUclips recommended this one. 5 months worth of plans have been canceled, so now I'm just using my tiny monthly journal to track down astronomical events. Maybe I should turn it into a fic reading, manga reading, and music discovery log as well haha
This hit me so hard that I regretted buying a planner at the end of 2019. I also have problems filling up new notebooks and keep on buying them even if I don't need it
I have found my people. This is the one year I decided to buy a planner. And cute little notebooks? I have plenty. But don't really have anything I need to write.
I have a planner but I don’t have any plans written on it. Instead, it consists of everything I did on that day, shows I watched on Netflix and one picture taken on that same day. I am amazed whenever i look back at it and see how I actively put notes on my digital planner.
If I could like this 1000 times more, I would. As someone who works so much and feels mentally and physically exhausted and cannot find the energy or motivation to draw something worthwhile, this is an eye opening solution. I love collecting both art and journal supplies and these are some awesome ideas to swatch or play with everything i have without feeling too much like i never do anything. Even my husband comments how I never actually create anything, which has me feeling depressed as an artist since it's a part of my heart. So thank you!
Take a look into Zentangle, bullet journaling and junk journaling. It might combine your passions and be simple or quick enough to get your creativity flowing. Pick a pen, a journal and a time - just 20 minutes. Focus on the joy the process gives you not a "worthwhile" end product. Just doodle. You got this! If you're anything like me you'll feel better too.
Thank you for this timely video! I just got back into my office after our quarantine lockdown ended and found the planner that I left behind in March when we went home to "work at home for two weeks". I was a little sad that the fancy planner I had been so excited to use in 2020 was totally blank from March 16 onward. I was thinking about just crossing out all of the dates and reusing it for next year, but this video gives me some good ideas about how to redeem it going forward.
I use a monthly spread as a regular planner, well as regular as this pandemic allows. I mark pay days, bills due etc. Weekly spreads I use as a journal. Writing down a few sentences of each day helps keep track of what's going on health wise, remember world events etc.
I use a weekly planner, I’m disabled so I’m home all the time anyway. I use mine for grocery lists, when deliveries are coming, and when to take my meds.
All good ideas. I was retired even before pandemic, but still want to use my planner to give my days some structure. This video and your comment are very helpful.
Thanks so much for this! My planner has been quite empty recently, and all these ideas are just what I needed! Love the pens you use too. EDIT: I love that you covered different types of planners. Your videos are always so thoughtful. Thanks once again.
Ahhh yes, this video speaks to me right now. The laziness, wanting to be productive, and the laziness again 😅. Thanks for uploading a video like this ❤️

This is such a helpful video! I was just talking to my friend about how it sucks that I chose this year to start using a planner. I've been using it as a weekly journal just as a recap on what happened during the week!
🌈 💜 this is such good advice. My bullet journal has become a dog’s breakfast of layouts and scribbling (and a hefty amount of angst). I have been trying to think like an archivist and keep lists of tips and advice. Maybe I will do some visual notes in this video! Thanks for the help.

I still have notebooks and journals to write in, but for my planning, I switched to digital with OneNote and made my own planner templates that I would use. Each month I use images online to decorate the pages and I simply just copy and paste multiple pages :) doesn't waste paper, and I'll use it when I need to use it. I can add and delete stuff so easily, too. I have a meal planning portion in my daily pages and I do love the layout that I created :D

I don't have to worry about my planner going to waste. The pages in mine are laminated, so I can use a fine point permanent marker to write with. It erases easily with a small amount of hand sanitizer. I have over half a bottle since I haven't been using the planner lol.

I used that at home since I'm homeschool, and imagined that my home is like a small village or town.
What is the pen you are using in the Fitness Tracking section? Looks wicked!
