when you mentioned you having shin splints and not knowing why and nothing helping it reminded me of when I started running a lot. I've always liked a toe-strike running style but in my traditional shoes it hurt my feet and shins so badly that despite my best efforts I had to completely change my style to heel striking. I've always wanted to get back to toe-strike and this helped me a lot I think, so thank you!
Dude! I just ran in mine today a nice mile and a half and I noticed that my form is immediately better. I think I’m going to transition to them full time. Like you said though, do what works for you that’s the secret to running well! Thanks for the vid and god bless. Also I’m from H-Town too 💪💪
Nice! Good luck on your vibram five finger journey. Check out some of my other vids where I run 5ks to ultramarathons. Subscribe if you want to follow along with my journey.
@@blardmannwhat’s your 2 year review? My Vruns are 2 days old. I’ve just been walking with them and everything below my knees hurt. Hoping I get used to it soon so I can start running.
Awesome. I love me my vibrams. Great for 5ks and 10ks. Check out some of my other vids. I've done marathons and even ultramarathons in mine. Sub if you want
So if I should only run a 1/4 mile in vibrams for a week and then add 10%. Do I go home and put on my regular running shoes and finish my run?? Like typically I run 3 to 5 miles every other day. Should I run a 1/8 of a mile turn around run a 1/8 back home and change shoes and go run the rest of run?? Or are you saying I should only run 1/4 mile and that’s all the running i do for that day?
I just put up my review on the vruns I like those the best except for the heel. Loved el-x but they are super minimal, the Evo ones are great too so maybe those.
Goku Runner i totally agree with u on the el-x being a super minimalist. is to soo flat.. i’ve compared them both n decided to get the evo.. u are such an inspiration n made me crave to try these out for future runs..
I'd say every other day and then after a week increase it 10 to 15 percent. Definitely listen to your body. Check out some of my other vids where I run 5ks to ultramarathons. Subscribe if you want to follow along with my journey

Thanks for the video my man, I used to love running but was prone to the dreaded shinsplints. I might give a pair of these a go!
Take it slowly my man. Good luck
Thank you. This video describes my running history exactly.

I like your style, thanks for the video. Nice a steady and informative.
I LOOOVE MY VIBRAMS they are so light like your running on air and I have no sore legs I run 4 days a week 3 miles each day I run

Good info. I got some Xero shoes about a year ago. Never could figure them out. Might have to try them again. I know they’re better for your body.
Nice. Those are the Flip flop things right? I have a pair too sonewhwre
I like to also walk in vibrams. But mostly run and walk barefoot
I also recommend running in xero shoes also
You should read the book. Happy to lend it to you.
I had it back in the day but then my ex took it. 😔 Never got to finish it.
I started off everyday with them not working my way up worked out great
Nice. I like mine
i ran in mine and got planar fascitis. too much too soon lol. I already run in Altras
so they make your toe and ankle muscles stronger and balance out muscle imbalances
great video thanks

Yeah you can do it they way. Your basically strengthening up those muscles in your calves. So yes run a 1/4 mile and then go back and change.
thanks for the video.. made me decide to try a Vibram out.. any recommended model for a start bro?
I just put up my review on the vruns I like those the best except for the heel. Loved el-x but they are super minimal, the Evo ones are great too so maybe those.
amzn.to/37IjH6p these are the ones I like kso Evo
now that’s a fast reply.. didn’t know there’s super minimal models, but a great head ups before choosing.. thanks for the tip 👍🏽

how many days a week would you recommend running a quarter mile for beginners?
I'd say every other day and then after a week increase it 10 to 15 percent. Definitely listen to your body.

I run 10km (6.21mi) every sunday on concrete roads, am i at risk of injury if I use minimalist shoes?
Run correctly you'll be fine.
Оптимальнее было бы назвать бренд "Vibram TEN fingers" (у нормального человека 2 ноги) или " Vibram TWENTY fingers" (2 руки и 2 ноги)!
Not sure what you said but cheers,
Fantastic video, but way to loud of an intro 😆
Thanks I'll have to lower it In future vids. Check out some of my other vids where I run 5ks to ultramarathons. Subscribe if you want to follow along with my journey
Having concerns with leg pain, tries to self diagnose on the internet, and thinks buying toe shoes would help
Sound like a smart plan
Dude talks about his running and his shin splints but nothing about the shoes
😲
intro music is wayyyyyyyyy too loud man. Compress the audio or just manage the levels better.
👍
