hi im from Burning Man community. the issue was not a lack of big recovery vehicles. the issue is the permit does not permit driving or recovery when the surface turns to mud to minimise the damage to it as it's a protected lake bed, not just dirt
Blue is scared of all the commotion and Cody is picking up on that. So he's standing over him like that to make Blue feel more secure. Who's a good dog? 😁
....have you seen Cody and Blue run off in the woods 20 miles and not go home till after dark? Prompted Andrew to get a tracker for his phone on each of them.
I began watching Andrew’s videos and felt the need and bought a skid steer. A little while later, while watching more of his videos,I felt the need and bought a mini-excavator. Watching this video, I feel the need to buy a tracked dump truck.
That was the first thing to go on my 74 F100 4WD in the Everglades! It looked like a wet noodle! Buddy made me a bumper out of 4" galv steel pipe. Nothing bent that!! 😎
Next year I'd recommend investing in a kinetic recovery rope, way better for breaking out vehicles stuck in deep mud, and usually less damaging to the vehicle as well. Cheers, and great video :)
No mate. The truck makers making trucks that don't have parts an asthmatic octogenarian can pull off with their false teeth is usually less damaging to the vehicle.
@@valuedhumanoid6574 kinetic rope stretches, the tow straps don't they snap aggressively which is real hard on both vehicles, and gives you a lot less tow force to work with, kinetic ropes spread it significantly and allow you to better utilize it.
Only if that would get him some recovery gear that are not static tow straps. Snatch straps would help but some more stretchy rope "may" have saved that persons bumper. Then again, it's all part of the fun. And really no, Andrew doesn't have anything for those off road areas in Utah (that I know of) even Matt's Bombi wouldn't work in those areas where the games are held.
Your an influencer for a reason ! ive been watching your channel for a long time and your the main reason I chose to start a post retirment grading landscaping business here in Central MA. My first year is in the books and it was a great success thanks by and large to your content. Jarhead Jimmys (Veteran Compact Tractor Svc LLC) THANK YOU !
Andrew the fun part having your friends in the back drinking and having fun while you towing trucks out of that mud…. Lol….. Awesome bro. Watching from Hawaii 🤙🏽🌺
Awesome and good fun , surprised how well those tracks pulled in that slippery mud , of course tracks are better but deep mud is usually the end of it . Must have some pretty good ground clearance . Cody and Blue as usual , chick magnets . Great video , Thanks Andrew , I think I need a track dump now .
Great video, your spoiling us Andrew, 2 in 24 hours, bring it on, we have these little tracked vehicles in the UK, very useful in boggy conditions...the ladies looked like they were enjoying the ride .....
This tracked dump truck would make an awesome hunting rig and a game changer here in Alaska with a little modifications. Mud and swampy areas limit the areas you can access with trucks, 4-wheelers and even stock Argo type vehicles. I will spot them for sale once in a while and I have wondered if you could modify the tracks with "Alaska Brush Tracks" for even better off road performance? I suppose you could really lighten it up and replace the heavy steel dump bed and roll cage etc with an aluminum structure for even better performance. Add a winch in the front and back and its time to go hunting.
get an old GM alternator, or you can even use an old-school automotive generator and voltage regulator if you want...mount them on a piece of flat metal, plywood, board, or whatever you want. Get an old 110 volt washing machine motor, or whatever kind you can find...run v-belt from electric motor to alternator..get some old jumper cables, make one lead from alternator, the other a ground..VOILA!...a cheap, simple DIY battery charger...
5:35 YIKES tell that dude not to stand next to a rope in tension like that next time lol. Also those girls in the bed got the best seat in the house haha
Looked like fun but was a good thing that bumper broke and stayed on the ground because it could have flown off and hit the guy hanging off the back or one of the girls in the bed. You know how to be safer than this Andrew. Thank you for the content either way. Be safe out there.
5:07 to app 5:40. If the towed vehicle hardware gives out, the snatch strap can come back at your man riding on the bumper. Not condemning. When young, I did stuff like that also, without a thought as to consequences, and often under the influence of something.

...careful. Thats a thread winning comment.
😂 He’d probably have needed a few more of these for that particular job!
but if anyone from Burning Man watches this...maybe they'll consider having something similar on hand for a possible "next time this sh** happens!" 🙂

Andrew is definitely the trend setter extraordinar! 😂😂 🚛🚜
the guy operating the tractor was brilliant. those tires are designed to go 1 direction, not backwards lol
Engaging differential lock on the tractor would help quite a bit.

It works great if you don't care about breaking stuff. For those that care, a kinetic rope is the way to go.@@valuedhumanoid6574

surprised how well this thing actually handled the mud while pulling trucks
Yeah! Way more powerful than I thought it would be.
its all about tractive surface area, the large the area you have to put force/spread it, the more work you can do, weight also helps though.
tractive surface area and weight will do that.@@armedpreacher
